Guess I'll through my hat into that ring..

*stares a level 1 Liana*

I want to raise you but...
i want to say that theres a chance she may get resolution this year if not next so you can get a better version of her for far less investment cr fairys rainbow fairys and the like but theres no way to know
it comes down to the user to decide if they need her and risk not getting everything they invest back her skills niche her stats other then hp are tbh pretty close to chydis and for the most part chydis iris and fedora or yuno whos not to far off if you dont have fedora all will get you through most if not all content with relative ease and there skills are all fantastically useful and they all cost less then liana ever easily will
im not saying everyone who got her and or invested in her does or doesnt deserve compensation thats up to the devs

Variety is key. Something I've said since the beginning. While Yes, those three will be enough for most things (primarily due to Fedora's multi-heal SAW). Having options always makes things easier. Granted with how the past was such things weren't really needed.

At the end of the day, I'll raise around 10 healers for that Variety, but that is far off. The primary of those 10 being Iris(single), Lucia(single), Echidna(multi), and Eterna (damage). The extras being Elias (single), Sera (single), Pippin (multi), Liana (Multi), Verdinate (Damage), and Hakunokami (Damage)

Anyway since I didn't receive much of any feedback on the last version of my list I'm going to begin transferring the list to the final format. This will hopefully make it easier to read. Though a few people did ask for the purpose of each given role be listed.

So I must ask how is this (hopefully this doesn't start a 15-page war of what a duelist actually is this time).

how does this look....

Duelist: Duelist are units that are capable of tank one powerful enemies one on one with the assistance of a healer. These units will normally be your go to for bosses. Some classes that normally fit this role are Avengers, Bandits, and Princesses.

Ganker: Gankers are often considered more specialized Duelist. They are units that can be dropped in to fight a priority target and pulled out with ever possibly risking their life, your 3 Star, or too many of your precious unit points. They all have some form self-sustain, damage reduction, Dodge, or outright simply cannot be healed. Some classes that normally fit this role are Majin, Valkyrie, and Vampire Princesses.

Gateway: Gateway units as their name sake might suggest are units use to the control the flow of the enemy. There are two types of gateway units. The 'open' type that starts off holding no enemy units back, and the 'closed' type that starts off blocking units. When units of this role activate their skill they will open/close the gate to allow or deny the enemy a path. Some classes that normally fit this role are Angels, Puppeteers, and Sailors.

Specialist: Specialist is a unique role. It was made solely for the Swordmaster class as they did not fit anywhere else really while being good all their own.

Staller: Staller is a role that excels in holding high threat targets in place. This is normally due to one of a few things. This is high dodge, the ability to use paralysis, freezing them in place, and Immortality. Some classes that normally fit this role are Immortal Princesses, Vampire Lords, and Yin Yang Masters.

Burst Healer: Burst Healers are units capable of only healing one target at a time. They will normally have a skill that boosts their healing power or the range at which they can heal. They are your go to healer especially when fighting bosses. Classes that normally fit this role are Healers and Priest Warriors.

Multi-Healer: Multi Healers are as the name would suggest, Healers that are capable of healing multiple allies. This can be their base heal or what they do during skill use.The class that normally for this role are Feng Shui Users

Damage Healer: Damage Healers are Damage Dealers that are capable of healer or healers that are capable of doing damage, and in some case, they will do both at the same time. Some classes that normally fit this role are Bishops, Shamans, and Dark Priest.

Physical Rear: Physical Rear are simply physical based single target damage dealers. Some classes that normally fit this role are Archers, Pirates, and Vampire Hunters

Magical Rear: Magical Rear are simply magic based single target damage dealers. Some classes that normally fit this role are Witch and Chrono Witch

AoE Rear: AoE rear are simply units that go in a range slot, and have AoE attack as their base attack. Some classes that normally fit in this role are Artillery Officer, Mage, and Summoner

Advance Ranged: Advance Ranged units are units that fit in a melee slot but can provide ranged damage support. Some classes that normally fit this role are Dragon Riders, Magic Fencer, and Ninja

Anti-Rush: Anti-Rush are low-cost early map units meant to deal with an early rush. Some classes that normally fit this role are Fox Spirit, Monk, and Rogue

Sweeper: Sweepers are units capable of dealing with large waves of smaller enemies by themselves. Some classes that normally fit this role are Oni, Pegasus Riders, and Samurai.

Offensive Tank: Offensive tanks are as their name suggest, the offensive focus tanks of the game. They block anywhere from 2-4 units, and have offensive focused skill allowing them to not only tank but take down their opponent when ranged support may be lacking. Some classes that normally fit this role are Dragon Princesses, Heavy Artillery, and Mshr Armor

Defensive Tank: Defensive Tanks are as their name suggest, the more defense focus tanks of the game. They block anywhere from 2-4 units and have defense focused skills allowing them to hold down multiple heavy hitters while their range support tanks them down. Some Classes that normally fit this role are Heavy Infantry and Royal Guards.

Token Fighter: Token Fighters are units that use tokens as a big part of fighting style/use. Some classes that normally fit this role are Demon Summoners, Elementaler, and Necromancers.

Ramp: Ramp units are simply units that do one of two things. Generate unit points for you to use or lower the cost of your units so that you can get them out faster. Some classes that normally fit this role are Advance Guard, Soldier, and Merchants.

Armor Breaker: Armor Breakers are units that lower the defense or magic resistance of enemy units. In addition to also changing your units damage type to bypass the armor of your enemy. Some classes that normally fit in this role are Enchanters and Alchemist

Buffer: Buffers are units that increase the offensive and defensive capabilities of your own team. Some classes that normally fit this role are Dancers, Maids, and Rear Guards

Debuffer: Debuffers are units that weaken the enemy in some form outside of reducing either form of armor. Some classes that normally fit this role are Curse Users, Monster Breakers, and Nekomata

Greed: Greed units do nothing for combat or progress. The only current use it to make resources easier to get, but this comes at the cost of stronger enemies. The class that solely holds this role is the Thief class

Ignis the platinum dragon soldier? Why would you do that?
She's hot. Why not?

Short of me getting super lucky and actually pulling a black waifu that's not an accursed loli for once..

Mainly because Ignis is a farm event plat, where you'd get xp just combining dupes + maybe spirits?

Using Joy on anything that is not Black is an utter waste, waifu or not, on the same tier as selling one of the best top-rarity units just because it is not your waifu.
Especially if Joy burning is for waifu reasons, as levels are gameplay factor and have no bearing on waifuness.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Good God, my droprate's really gone down the toilet on this revival. I was getting Adas virtually every time when it started, now I'm getting none(I was always getting crap results from unit combinations, mind you).
I'm going to clear my cache, and see if that helps.
I don't use Ada often, but I'd at least like her mini-costed, and I'm worried about my odds of achieving that now.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

We are past the point were beta version was released as a weekend only mission with black armor gold rush style completion reward but we are nowhere close to regular majin advent.
So what, we just fucking skip those?

More gutted content, yay!
And you fucking bet we're not getting the 3 SC final reward from Katie's Great Excercise, nonono! We're getting Joy instead of her being an additional reward!
And also, since we're not having the meta-event to determine her exp, we get no meta-DC reward either!
You thought you get to have fun, you filthy gaijin????

---------

Did you know that the first revival for {Ryuujin Invasion} and {Return of the Dragon princess} didn't use [Revival crystals] but [Time crystals] this item wouldn't be carry over to next event due to it being a beta version of the former, like that the drop rate were awful and was nearly impossible to get the units without a massive use of SC.

The UI we have been using for 2 years is actually V2.
Cloris {U.M. Drills} were actually an event.
Several funtions like Commisions, the auto speed button and Bactraking the previous mission were implemented long after the game was launch.

------

My point is that we've never gotten the beta version of any event and we've actually gotten some features ahead of time. Meaning that we'll certanly never see the beta for majins this doesn't mean we'll never get them.

In regards to the SC for {KT training exercise} we could get both regards for the 600 clear, or actually Joy could be the reward for the 10000 but Norland didn't have the whole info. Jut wait before thrwing a tantrum ok?

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Talking about joy, Since no one responded, Despara (witch) or Berna (Rogue)? Also could do Sybilla (AW30) or Mikoto (AW25) but that would waste like a single tin can worth of exp, heh.

I'm leaning towards Berna, because her SAW and Ability seem useful enough.

Also, Starter pack when? Apparently on DMM theres a pack for 100USD that gives the usual 150SC but 2 joys (ones called happy but its pretty much a joy, no?) and a 10% exp to all combines spirit as long as you own it.

Starting on the DMM version, had to use VPN to register, but now i don't have to use it since its registered to my account, does not mind my western IP, RIP Moon runes, no idea what i'm doing. Starting fresh sucks though.

Chose Black Feng-Shui as my rank 10 blackcard bonus thing, Because i can. Always loved feng-shui masters, she was on my wishlist. Realistically i probs should have gone with sybilla or nanaly, as honestly - i think i'd be a month or two behind by now without me drawing sybilla, mikoto and nanaly on my first story-mission funded gatchas.

@ShinyAfro go for Despia in the long run is better, Berna will get shaft pretty quick once the bosses start dealing magic damage, she can't dodge that so her perk worn't do much. But if I'm honest Mikoto is better, but using Joy on her is a waste. You should wait a bit until you get a another black, remember that Hibari (Black samurai) is also coming soon and she is a beast.

@ ShinuAfro: "Starter" pack, as in "New Prince Support Pack", is already here. It is Alicia pack, not pack.
Sariette pack you are talking about was introduced a bit before the White Emperor, . We are currently around September, 2015 timeframe by DMM schedule.

@Xion: Hibari is way, way far in the future for us. Before her we have , and in Event Blacks.

Won't Bernas ability make her a pseudo-swordmaster? I have raven too though. Bernas ability seems from reading it SAW looks like it can destroy a lot of units in a small amount of time, within a small radius.

But indeed, it is true. I don't have to use the spirit immediately when i get it.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Both Despia and Berna are great.
Sybilla is okayish, she really needs the balance update DMM got recently though.
Mikoto is meh except for stalling.
Hibari is great for an event unit, but shrine units are still a lot better. So I'd still give Joy to Despia or Berna, except you really have nothing that can tank medium bosses and/or don't have a sweeper (berna fullfills that role better by the way, so in your case it really only depends on whether you have something to tank medium bosses).

Therefore my order would be Berna=Despia>Sybilla>Mikoto

Whether you give it to Berna or Despia depends on what your team has and needs more.
Extremely good magic AoE slow? Despia
Physical sweeper, dodge token, 50 % assassination, lots of rogues that benefit from tokenization? Berna

Personal opinion:
Can you really resist this?

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

I had another striking moment of "Wait...Can I do that?"

For comparison, this was my initial take on the Tower.

It's just Olivie killing everything, which is just reusing what I did for Sera event.

Then I thought, "Waaaait...can I take all 4 all at once?"
Numbers said...maybe? So I tried.

Yeap...Tower is the best map so far as I expected.

I still recommend Hibari over those 3, I used one Happy on my Eterna since she was one of my first units in dmm and didn't regret it but a max Hibari sure would have been better.

We have the advange of knowing whats comming so planing the use of our resourses is more effcient, In my case I'm gonna save her, if I get a black shrine unit I would like to level it to max ASAP (Unless is Olivia, this one is a special case of "better take it easy"). For now I'm planing on saving my SC until Rinne gets add, she is too good to not roll when she gets here.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

I started way late on DMM and never had a Joy/Happy type spirit. But there is still plenty of plat/black cans there to get an unit up to AW 99 the old fashion way, which is what I had to do for Hibari.

Huh, really thought for sure I wasn't ready for o'l 65. 69 could be doable perhaps, but 71 I'm fairly sure I won't be able to 3* or not even finish at all (at least with my current stuff and without certain SAWs). Whenever they come anyway. It'll still be awhile, but at least we're (slowly) getting closer toward Prince AW, when before it was nothing but a pipe dream among other things.
