Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Umm, they are listed.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Umm, they are listed.

Just pointing out that shows after Anya's event not Solano, but I already mentioned that before. Pretty sure people won't read the wall of text anyway.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

From the DMM schedule, we're overdue for Revivals, Belinda's first one came four months after the original Event while Anya's was a tad under seven months.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

@Lafate

Hmm , not sure I can follow Your reason at timeline this timeline that......
Just look at the messy order we got
And they've skipped the old paralysis mechanic
So , if they really can messed up the other thing
Why couldn't they messed up at least Trading Post unit
Last time we got a rotation is Bashira , and that could not be say rotation at all
As she is a replacement for Kerry

Or at least the EXP and Gold plus on story mission

@Nirhael

Oh Thank You so much
Sadly that info just make Me moar and moar depressed

I'm not going based of months as we cannot do that(we aren't consistently getting back to back events... well we were for awhile but...)

Eitherway doesn't change the fact that we are overdue since the first revival came with Lynn's event. We are only missing three events prior to that... well technically one, and that is Yurina. So ya way past over due.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Firstly, Nutaku has no control over what the DMM devs do with our version. The DMM devs hardly even give them info on what they're doing, much less care what they request.

Secondly, it's been made crystal clear from the start that they're not putting as much effort into running this version as they are their main version. What you're suggesting is for them to put in more effort to this version just to catch us up, which isn't going to happen. When they were attempting to catch us up we were skipping more events than we are now, which the vast majority wasn't okay with at the time. That's why we're where we are now (though we have skipped a couple at random).

Finally, if it's a choice between jumping to DMM version and quitting, I'd rather just quit. I'm not going to stop playing the EN version because of bullshit and then jump straight to the source of the bullshit (DMM) and reward them for it. Doesn't make sense.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Honestly the most annoying thing is going to be acquiring all the silver/gold units that have been skipped when we should have had plenty of opportunities to get them by now. I sincerely doubt Aigis devs are going to retroactively give us anything as compensation for them not being in the game for almost a year.

I've only been playing DMM Aigis for about 1-2 weeks and have 3 copies of Mischa and 1 copy of Nenya with no premium pulls.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

It'd be pretty amazing if we could get Liana --> black Iris exchange.

Highly improbable, but one can dream.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

There is a slight contraction in the position that,

- Being overdue getting the original Aigis multiple events is bad

and

- Not getting multiple events to redeem missing chars is good

edit : Anyways, will stop now, it is almost time for the "whats for tuesday" game and i need to stockpile a bit for it

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Could someone enlighten me why,

- Being overdue getting the original Aigis multiple events is bad

and

- Not getting multiple events to redeem missing chars is good

People who have been around don't need to re-run old Events while newer players get a chance to get units they missed, while having two new Events at the same time penalizes everyone and forces us to spend more SCs than we'd normally need to. It also makes it extremely hard for everyone to level up/get Affection items, DCs, etc. and thus forcing us to spend even more SCs.

Simply put: Getting Revival Events is a bonus, having to run two new Events at the same time is a negative.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

For the players who missed the orignal event the revivial is for, the revival is entirely indistinguisable from an additional event in all aspects, no difference at all. Depending on the age of that revivial that audience could be anything from 90% (One of the first events) to 10% (ex. recents events as Ada or Horace) of the player base. In fact a revivial can 'penalize' the player base as effectively as an additional event.

So while I accept the point as valid, it does in fact not cover my question as such. Multiple Events cant both be good and bad for the player base as a whole at the same time, the point of my question is to illustrate that. But I accept the pure additional can (depending on that persons perspective) be more disruptive than the revivial.

One thing though, it is games interest to make you spend more SC that you are used to. The entire purpose of the game, to provide more content that can be absorbed by normal regen and peoples increasingly vast stockpiles (and they are pretty huge in many cases).

While that can be seen as a negative (have to spend to get) or as a penalty (penalize players). From a game point of view it is a positive (earns money) unless of course it happens to a degree that canabalises the player base but if the model does not make peoples commit (or at least want to commit) more resources than they can regen and stockpile, then it is in fact failing (economically)

There's no contradiction. JP doesn't have major events running simultaneously, so it's not going to happen here. And people don't want it to happen because it forces you to pick and choose or requires you to spend more money just to get decent versions of the event unit. And that's without doing dailies or being able to level anything. It just doesn't work. A decent portion of the community already doesn't like back-to-back single events.

I'd rather just go back and have the major events we've skipped in their own usual slot. There's no reason at all for us to have to catch up to the JP version.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

That argument is only valid for a percentage the audience you mention, for the players who missed the orignal event the revivial is for, the revival is entirely indistinguisable from an additional event in all aspects, no difference at all.

Depending on the age of that revivial that audience could be anything from 90% (One of the first events) to 10% (ex. recents events as Ada or Horace) of the player base.

So while I accept the point as valid, it does in fact not cover my question.

It's really a matter of tolerance in these cases, even if we do get two new Events at the same time, we'll still need Revivals, so that means we'd end up with three at a time or at best two Events permanently if we're alternating. That strains a player's resources a lot, making the game much less F2P friendly, turning away both new and old players due to the frustration of being unable to max out both units.

It affects new players the most since they now have to hope for twice the amount of Revival Events, some of which haven't even happened on the DMM version. So if they missed a unit they really wanted, they might be out of luck for a very, very long time, if you double that amount then you double the frustration.

In addition, Revival Events usually only happen once a month or so and, depending on the type, they're already pretty taxing resource-wise. Having to manage that in addition to 3 more new Events per month would be enough to make many people quit.

No matter how you look at this, players will be leaving and that's a very bad thing, even if you have a few whales sticking around and spending a lot, the game won't last when there isn't a community around anymore, the whales will leave too.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

I consider it much more likely that "whales" leave due too little to do, rather than too much. And as long as there is money, there is a game for a community to grow up around, and this even if some fall away, there will be new ones to replace them.

But nm, time will tell if that is right or wrong for Aigis and where the current pace falls in that scope.

Could be a smashing success as is, could be that it is bleeding, but who knows, short of Aigis or Nutaku releasing a statement of revenue or player base, there is no info to support either sides argument.

I simply base mine on "more content is good" and is countered by "only if we can overcome consuming it without disruption/stress". I would claim mine is the more general and generic standpoint and the latter is more subjective (ex. who is the "we" it is supposed to be good for, for example, is that a vocal minority, the whales or a player base majority), but such a claim goes both ways, and my point could be claimed subjetive and not valid for Aigis ex. for beeing too generic and not taking its idiocyncracies into account.

But that of course leaves unanswered why Aigis is a success in Japan as every single new player on DMM will face this issue from day 1 and forward and the yet game seem to prosper anyway despite the many issues this multiple event "overflow" should give.

Anyways, "dead horse", and i'll stop beating it, as regardless of arguments, multiple events would have to actually happen Nutaku side, which is not the case as far as known.

Edit : Oh and I am a new player :) I sort of break the mold I suppose as I consider the cost/frustation irrelevant compared to the gain of content, but that is of course just me :)

More content is not always good. Especially when you're forcing players to choose which content they're able to do. Their model on the JP version is successful, and it allows people to get decent event units while still making them money.

At the end of the day this argument doesn't even matter. They're not gonna expend more effort on our version to do multiple major events (not even considering revivals/subjugations) simultaneously, regardless of what you or I want.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Yeah, I think there is some miscommunication on what "multiple events" means to both sides of the argument.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Well, today I'm doing the Monday daily, so I'm pretty much done with this event. Result: mincosted, 4/5 skilled Azami and 4/5 skilled Saki and this only costed me 1 SC so I consider myself quite lucky. I've put effort into Azami, because she doesn't have her AW skill as of yet, so there's a chance that she might be useful. If not, well, then I wasted one SC. Not the end of the world.

So, another break. Seems like we are back to constant breaks for good.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

No event again... I'm getting closer and closer to another break from the game again. Not much will to play lately and another break...
Quite a shame, because it's the only game on Nutaku that I consider interesting and not boring clicking...
