Looked for this question in the FAQ but couldn't find an answer:

How high to you level your irons and bronze units before you use them as feeders?

Also are you using your iron and bronze fairies when doing this or do you want to save them for the actual unit you are trying to level and feed?

And, please correct me - but it sounds like I should save all silver fairies for the purpose of CC when I get a unit to lv 50/50?

Thanks!!! This game is awesome/addicting.

Personally I don't level the iron/bronze, I simply feed em to Silver or better units raw to level em. Eventually you will want to use the fairies to level after a unit is over 40 (the range will depend on unit type siliver,gold,plat,black) due to cost of leveling. They make it cheaper to do so. As far as CC'ing, yes you'll need one fairy of the appropriate type to CC. CC'ing a Silver you'll need a silver fairy, for Gold a Gold fairy is used when CCing.

Do note that an equivalent Silver unit is needed to CC Silver/Gold units. Got an ol beardie mage, you gonna need a silver mage to CC him.

You can always check the cost for Ccing once a unit reaches level 30. This will give you ample time to try and plan ahead.

Eventually you'll reach maps with Level 13-14 Irons/Bronzes as drops, I turn the irons into gold and feed the bronzes for exp no additional leveling required. Use fairies as necessary, silvers are easy enough to get.

Any mage with a beard.

Depending on units available of course, Witch is probably the second most common past archer due to the much needed range increase. Mage is also highly recommended as is a duelist of choice.

The only mages I have are Irons and a Silver, I have Cloris though for Witches so I might CC her.

While irons can't be CC'ed, any silver can. As others have mentioned, most silvers are useful once CC'ed. This is mainly due to their lower cost even after being CC'ed which is a good thing.

Don't discount CC'ing a witch like Calliope just because she's silver. I myself have CC'ed her and Cloris, but Calliope is much easier to get out early in a given map.

Later maps become a balancing act of higher level/cost units vs those that can quickly be gotten out but aren't as rare/powerful.

Is there a way to like redo the evolution thing... =_=

I evolved Katie before she was lvl 50 and realize that it was a really bad mistake... I actually thought that lvl will be kept and all... now she will miss like the final 11 lvl she was suppose to have. So if there a way to redo it? lol

Don't worry about it too much. Yes you missed out on some levels worth of stats but ultimately it's doubtful that it will ever be the difference between a clear or no clear. It might be the difference between an easy clear and a more effort invested clear though

I did on one of my accounts, and probably way more then I should have given my bad rolls.
At this point I'm even tempted to send in a bug report to ask if the 5crystal and 3crystal have their codes reversed.
I do also run a completely free account due to charisma regeneration though. Did get a single plat and gold so far.
Thankfully my free account isn't cursed with bandits like my main.

I think it might be just luck of the early rolls... I had a few early rolls and got some pretty decent units (1 platinum, 2-3 gold). Not I'm stuck with literally no unit progression.

Figures. I finally get a good roll in the 5 crystal deal, and its black quality rogue Berna...a few hours later I get a free platinum rogue. Worse is that I hardly ever use rogues at all. WTB any princess, better healer, better tank, better mage, etc.

Rogues are pretty good I am sure you can fit Berna somewhere!

I'm just not sure what situation rogues fit into...at least at the point in the game I'm at right now. She costs 11 to drop. I could do a valkyrie for 13, and she's WAY better. I could almost drop 2 soldiers for 11. Granted, I've only leveled Berna to about 20, but she doesn't seem to be anything special. A heavy enemy can nearly kill her in one hit.
