Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)
But I do wonder how you didn't manage to get a decent enough team yet. I started a little later than you if I recall correctly (pretty much at the start of the Shiho event) and while I didn't do all that well on the Len event, I still got her though. By the time Lynn rolled around I was pretty much ready to face events. I threw some SC at the Demoness at that point (because I was desperate for a princess) and got the rare units that I enjoy during this event. Solano was hard. Very hard even. But once I figured out what the key units were in my team and powerleveled them I managed to pull off a perfect Solano.
So what the hell did we do differently?
Looking at your units, I have a pretty good Idea. You spread out the exp you got on too many units. I have exatly 4 un-ccd units (Princess not counting) at or above level 30. Len and Solano included. You have 17 if I counted correctly. You have also spread your affection Items pretty widely, instead of building up a relatively universal core team.
The units you chose to CC are odd as well. Calliope instead of cloris, Lyla and Monica?
Dont get me wrong, Lyla is awesome, but Themis and even Cypria are more versatile. Problem with Bandits is, Their awesome HP, shitty def and nonexistant MR means they tie up healers. In most situations, Themis is the more useful duellist, and Cypria can dodge and instakill.
Monica is pretty cool. She hits like a truck. Her range is pretty crazy as well. Problem is: she is slow and has a relatively high cost (1 more than Bashira or Victoria). She is the hard physical hitter of your team. Bashira is better at it, esp considering her skill is about twice as powerful.
Calliope cheap, Cloris strong. Why make Calli more expensive and keep Cloris weak?
Most importantly: 2 cc'ed healers, 2 cc'ed physical ranged fighters but no mage? You have literally nothing to effectively combat swarms. You have no Sophie or Akane that block and butcher weak hordes. You need the AOE and sheer damage output that mages provide. They are pretty much THE lategame class.
You didn't get shafted, you made the classic mistakes of overprioritizing high-rarity units and spread yourself too thin. That forced you to farm shitty maps, and that is what made you lag behind. I couldn't build a team that beats nevermind 3*s castle retake from your pool. I beat it with a team that, in total, had significantly less exp than yours with more "common" (read: pretty much freemium + tp). I 3*d it later, after farming higher level maps for their better gold/exp relation. With Sophie as cheat sheet, I admitt, but you have Dahlia. She can do that just as well.
TL;DR, don't quit, keep collecting, keep going your way. But fucking prioritize and realise that, occasionally, a map will simply require you to have / level that key unit you just don't like very much. You can be as extravagant and picky as you want once your core team runs smoothly. Before that: Build it. Nao. UH SUD NAUGH!
Btw: Considering to drop the event at this point. My charlotte is at max cr and 6/10, I got 4x pallis, 2x calliope and 6x Cristopher. Can't want much more, tbh.
