(Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Well. I can see they didnt manage to post a few lines in the news or the homepage /meh.

We'll get something obviously, but amazing they cant even spend 10 seconds creating a bit of positive expectation by dropping a formal hint that they have something planned and an announcement will come later and when, instead we have to rely on an single twitter to a user asking them. come on Nutaku/Aigis, you can do better. give people a little taster, build a little spin and buzz, let people frenzy a bit in expectation and then hook them for some cash with something nice.

Anyways, The chocolates, I had some on my DMM account from last year. And have consumed it too, so here is what I can confirm about (the last version of it),

- It is stored in the mail box, apparently for ever or as long as you have space.
- You cannot consume it when at full stamina, you'll get a warning
- I only tried using it once I was at 0 stamina, it filled my stamina (12) fully.

So if is the same this time, it is a 10 (1 pr day, 7 days, 3 from Waifus in all) SC equivalent of Stamina that can be stored and consumed when wanted.

Should give them something to aim for with that Anniversary thing, yes? We should expect Anniversary + Valentine, no? :p

The way the event for Vals day is your top girl gets you a chocolate everyday and your top 3 affection girls give you a chocolate on Valitines day. These restored all your Stamina when used. And as a side note, I still have an Easter Egg on my Nutaku account.

I farmed Fierce Island Battle since day 1 of event and still got 0 Laurens from it. RNG is merciless when it comes to silvers for me, I so wish they would implement "guaranteed first drop" like on DMM.

I actually got 1 Lauren from that map in the main, but I've yet to see him again. At least I finally got Harissa after who knows how may tries...

I got a bit blessed with Elaines as I got 4 of her in the main and alt as well as being able to min cost a prime Elaine on both accounts mostly because I have no other usable Valkyries other than Kerry on the main and the alt was more for lulz really because it has both Dahlia and Kerry; to add even more salt in the wound the alt even has both Pegasus Riders. Mostly wanted her for AW material though.

Luck has lowered with Elaine farming though in both accounts, starting to get slightly sick of seeing that copper pirate.

What was the Easter Egg I have seen mentioned a couple times?

It was literally an Easter Egg chocolate which was given last year which was a full stamina refill when you used it.

OK. Thanks for the answer.

As it stands there's no reason to not AW skill Marnie or Hana, since there's not even a cooldown penalty for these new skills.

Waltz's AW skill has an intriguing niche(in an already niche class) but should be used in a different way than Marnie or Hana. Long-term performance increase instead of a big burst.

The range increase is also in permanent affect for Waltz. So she can buff more people, and could potentially be used where Hana or Marnie cannot.

Well, like I said before, Waltz's function is completely different than what dancers are normally used for. Anyone that's familiar with them is usually okay placing a dancer out of say, Nanaly's range, as long as their skill can reach her. Almost no one uses them for their normal passive 10% bonus; it's not COMPLETELY useless and can (rarely) put someone just over the threshold for surviving a big attack or whatever, but it's just not a good enough reason to use them by itself.

The new Waltz will be used as a general performance enhancer, not a burst enabler, and is good with units that have especially low attack, like Vampire Hunters and Feng Shui. It's also decent defensively, good for cushioning ranged units against crap like black goblins, since it gives a flat 100 defense.

Generally speaking I'd give the edge to the burst-style dancer skills if only cause high burst on a skill is generally better than a long-term, smaller buff in modern DMM content(unless you're a black unit with a broken skill that lasts 150 seconds like Esther, arguably) - big problems are frequently packed into small time windows during a map, and dancer skills shine the most with units like Nanaly and Rion.

Anyway, best solution to the problem? Use Waltz for her AW skill and Marnie or Hana for their traditional skills.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

@Karsuman

I'm quite confuse with dancer class
And sorry for being ignorant
But are they really important? How frequent will we use them?
Coz currently I can still manage with My cheat , and relatively traditional class units
I cannot even utilize Merchant class that well
And still have a mindset that Archers are better.....

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Dancer give away 10% of her stat to ppl in her range (upgrade able by prince morale / aw ability)
When their skill active they give away 100% + the skill multiplier stat to ppl in range.
Dancer stat up can't be reduced by skill... For example Monica AW skill reduce her atk to 1/2... the stat dancer give to her will not be reduced to 1/2

The best way to utilize dancer is usually for fast atk unit like ninja / multi shooter archer to pierce enuff the enemy def instead of keep dealing minimal dmg or nulified.
Additionaly it also make unit who have multi block alot more surviveable like angel or samurai.
the bad part as usual, range positioning + eating range spot which alot of time is crucial

Hmm that's great
But range spot is dominated by Archer , Mage-Witch and Healer
Still not use the Pirate so far
So I guess out of 10 battle , maybe dancer is only needed 2/10 ?

Still cannot say that with confidence as I still did not have them
Hope there will be Dancer revival on DMM

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Anyway, best solution to the problem? Use Waltz for her AW skill and Marnie or Hana for their traditional skills.

She doesn't have to be used for bursting down bosses. If a player can't take advantage of her full power (fast attack speed units and multi-volley/hit attacks), then she's good as a general stat booster since she makes a farming run much smoother. She makes some classes a lot more better than normal such as Monks. I want to use Waltz with Ur and Momiji because they won't be as frail anymore and won't demand the attention of healers quite as often while also dealing significant amount of damage. Both Ur and Momiji can reach 1k attack with Waltz nearby if they are all max level.

I'll also be using Waltz for boosting units that fail to reach thresholds because of the AW Thief. Maurette is unable to one-shot enemies in Low Cost Battle 1 because of the AW Thief, so Waltz will be there as a quick fix due to her low cost.

Of course, I do have Marnie with her Skill AW (OP Defense), so this is my current view on the state of Dancers.

This was just only on this second use:

I forgot to check on the third use, but lack of charisma prevents me from doing it for a while.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Didn't say she had to be, I mentioned her ability to increase defense long-term as well. I like that you mention samurai, too, though - sort of overlooked them, they should work wonderfully with Waltz. My only experience with monks is really Alice, though, and she wrecks most things with Pippin alone, so I'm afraid I can't give too much input there, haha...

My main problem with dancers on DMM lately is that ranged slots have been coming at a premium in the difficult event maps...

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Alice does have that coveted DEF bonus that most Monks want. :(

Well, in a simplified view:
Waltz with Skill AW is for afk farming runs. A cheap unit to deploy that makes missions faster and easier.

Waltz with her default skill for difficult encounters that require attention and the need for on-demand power.

I'll also agree that the ranged slot limitation can hamper a Dancer's use. There is also the global unit limit that could prevent a vital unit from being deployed. This is why I only endorse Waltz with her Skill AW for farming type of runs and not for difficult bosses that needs to be killed. A mission that can be farmed usually has a strategy that is efficient and doesn't require a full set of units to clear, so Waltz with Skill AW can be put in the team to make it much more smoother than before.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Pirate Life G done. Now what to grind? On one hand Pride of Pirates X has really decent loot and on the other, I really need some silver archers. But that 10% though...
