About Claudia. I'm wondering, is princess with true dmg so not useful? For example against enemies like that dragon in the last map... if it's not her than killing that lizard takes ages!

Those enemies are so rare or there are easy-to-get other units with true dmg?

True damage is not particularly uncommon on DMM currently, even among event units. Rikka, Sorano and the recently released Metus(on DMM) for example, all deal true damage - the former two when AW skilled.

True damage is something my team on DMM can deal a lot of. It's not always useful, especially if the unit normally deals magic damage since magic resist enemies are not all that common, but is inordinately powerful when used against mighty foes like mithril golems(3kish defense, 60 MR) or the mobs in the new DMM Majin stage with its heavy MR mixed with random high defense fliers.

That said, presently I'd say you should worry little about true damage - but it will become increasingly relevant as the game proceeds. And it wouldn't be the worst thing to aim for a few units with true damage skills, since you have the advantage of knowing this all in advance.

Claudia's extremely useful for people without a Platinum+ Princess, but for those who do, she's rather redundant. She's still a good unit but she has some issues:

-Slower attack speed compared to other Princesses(attack interval of 38 vs 33/31 for Olivia).
-No way to attack flying Dragons prior to Skill AW.
-Inability to tank things you actually want that True Damage on(e.g. Mithril Golem).
-Skill AW has one of the lowest range in the game, making it difficult to actually make use of it due to positioning.

She's still a good unit, don't get me wrong, but she has her flaws too. True Damage, while useful, really isn't necessary for any map we've seen so far, it makes some of them easier but it's not mandatory. There are better ranged options anyway(Rikka, Sorano, Metus).

I'll be spending so much to mincost her at that point. Especially because her AW skill is ridiculous.... 420 Range and 1066 Attack without anyone else... eat your heart out pirates.

Wasn't all that impressed with Belinda's AW skill to be honest. The CT and initial are both massive for what you get and most people would probably prefer her have good old Attack UP IV that Adele and Figuneria have. Also, pirates have been buffed a lot since their time on Nutaku.

The best witch AW skill is probably Adele. AoE slow op, even has a decent multiplier.

I take offense with this. It is one thing to make Olivier faster than the other Princesses. It is one thing to make Claudia a frame slower than other Princesses. But they created this gacha gap that is just mean. The original trio of Lilia, Sherry, and Sybilla attack faster than the bunch of other Princesses. It is that slower bunch that Claudia takes after, which is just disgusting. /slightlyseriousrant

Just adding to the conversation, yes true damage is good. Very good. As was noted, Claudia with skill can demolish that black dragon much faster than with anything else. Whether it is relevant all depends on what we get, when we get it, what units are available, and who gets lucky with Rainbows and gacha.

Ultimately, as said, Claudia is good. All around solid damage dealer who doesn't even need her skill up to pull some weight just due to her class. I think the real hidden gem here is that she gets MR with skill on, allowing her to help tank magic enemies.

Belinda revival would be great though, the fact that I only have her at -2 bugs me to this day.

Saying there are many true damage dealers isn't particularly correct too. For Nutaku, free units are Rika and Claudia for a very long time (Metus is at least 2 years ahead from now), and even Rikka is questionable, because true damage for her is her skill AW. And then when you compare how much damage Claudia can deal vs other true damage dealers, you can see she is far ahead of other free units and even most gacha. She's best killer of anything she could survive engaging in melee.

Now, of course, real problem is that enemies like Amon are very rare and for next years Claudia will have only few spots to shine on Nutaku.

The thing about bosses like Amon is that... if you can tank it, the time you need to kill it isn't really an issue.

Claudia's also a burst-type unit, as odd as it may sound considering her Skill's duration, but the cooldown time on it really cuts deep. While there are very few things that could survive facing her for 50 seconds, if they do survive, her damage output drops drastically. Rikka actually has a slightly higher True Damage DPS than Claudia if the latter's initial Skill activation isn't enough and the longer a map lasts, the more the gap widens.

Ok. Decided to go for best Claudia as I can (probably, miraculously maybe around 900 fangs... yeah right ;\).

The thing about bosses like Amon is that... if you can tank it, the time you need to kill it isn't really an issue.

Well... fine. But it is annoying to wait 5 or 10 minutes before that boss is killed. And if you have a situation that it can tank it, but only with healers skills active from time to time it is even more annoying. Last map when I made mistake and lost Claudia was a nightmare to kill that dragon. Even worse than when my Bernice was soloing the boss on Ryujin map.


Edit: btw am I the only one that finds regular princesses not useful (Anya is useful!)? Or is it just because I got Themis?

I still can't get any use out of my mincosted one. She doesn't last long against enemies I actually need a princess for.

Hmm , I used Themis to tank Black Dragon on X Cave
And she do just fine even with Alyssa heal her
At Twin Dragon G , she can also tank the Red Dragon with Iris cover her

But to be fair , the limit of her use is already seen
With future stronger enemies , nah....

So far the most balanced Princess is Lilia
Used her to tank strong enemies , she can do just fine
While Sherry and Olivie could also do the same
But their HP and def is not balanced

Used Olivie to tank Black Dragon on X cave , with Alyssa. It is really worrying
With Iris , quite save. My Olivie is only 45~

Olivie will be great on Melee enemies upon 100% dodge
Too bad.. if only she can also dodge Magic. Even with low HP she will be the most Broken unit , lol

If only we will ever have the chance to have Magic City Story Mission Map
I'm hyped to slash that Mithril Golem with her 100% dodge XD

Most princesses are useful, Sybilla is an amazing allrounder, Karma and Olivie are great for hardhitting bosses, Sherry is great for anything that needs to die as fast as possible, Anya with her skill up can take any hits you can throw at her, Themis I've used a couple times and she's painfully average. I don't have Lilia but she's great for tough bosses that don't need to die fast.
Its looking like Claudia will be better than Themis and possibly Lilia in some places but worse than the others.

You have plat valkyries on both accounts. They do just as well as princesses until the magic damage is needed.

That's why I asked, because if I ever use Themis... it's rather just to use her just because, not because she is needed. Dahlia and Celia are good enough (and Anya if I'm not tight with UP).

Forgot that I too have Karma xD Well I dont remember when I used plat one, but black... I saw how awesome she is just when i returned to game (I think it was G map with those toguh gold werewolves).

Dont care much about other princesses. Not gonna hope I'll get them from gacha nor I want them (except Olivie... damn why did I get Berna when they were both on spotlight )

She is so bad compared to the other princesses. I level'd her up because I had no room so I just threw out some exp armors and gold fairies.. I regretted it. Should level pretty much anything else, even awakening fodder.

So since awakenings right around the corner I'm wondering how ready for it we all are?

I got everything ready for 8 specific units to be awakened except for the orbs obviously, and then I have;
36 lvl 20 irons
136 lvl 20 copper
22 copper fairys
30 gold fairys
35 plat fairys
30 black fairys
20 exp armours
4300000 gold

I should be able to level my 8 units a fair amount with this.

Cheerfully reporting the almost opposite status, nothing saved and nothing major planned
(Until I see more constant events or nutaku plans, no rush for me, as my expectation is CC team will do fine for at least ½ year yet)

But suppose I have enough odds, ends, bits and crystals, to AW an Archer and Soldier. Spica/Bashira and Katie probably. And then level them as natural regen gets around to it.
