Added some background, “the ‘Verse so far…” I’ve also thought up some potential details for the upcoming job. A cruiser sent out as part of the Taskforce has been located drifting just inside Reaver territory. Long range sensing shows that one of this cruiser’s main reactors is still active with containment. The military has declined any attempt at salvaging the ship, but a civilian investor has contracted the Rhapsody to collect the reactor for reasons only they know.

In the meanwhile, let's get the characters met up, shall we? Hey Sin, starting tomorrow I think I'm just gonna have Lyn go crazy, and have Vikki just run off her feet trying to keep up. Gets things rolling, and you won't have to post yet if you can't find the time. Sound good?

Since I just figured it out, I figured I'd share my finding that a "step-bonus" means that you get an extra level to a die roll. So, since Duke's skill with guns is d6, a +2 step bonus to that skill means that roll becomes d10, as if I enhanced it twice.

Same thing with his influence skill, Seduction. Since Duke has both sweet and cheerful, and allure, if he's trying to seduce a girl while using his kind nature to make her laugh, and blush from his compliments, instead of rolling a d12 + willpower, he'd roll a whopping d20! + willpower.

Also, don't get me started on Invader Zim, I'm still pissed off that they canceled it.

Close, RJ. This system doesn"t use D20. If you have enough of a bonus to get past D12, you start a third die at D2 and start stepping that up instead.

In your seduction example, it would be D12 + D8 + Willpower. ;)

Daww... Captain's a lesbian. Hehehe, and here I was starting to giggle at the thought of Isa making, "rough" advances at Jonathon or Duke. :p

Yeah, I remember that, and I figured, for hilarity's sake, she was bi. But, now I gotta think of another reason for Duke to come along, since at his noticing of Isa leering at the woman, he's catching on himself, and is considerin' other options. :rolleyes:

I don't know. I can see hilarity coming out of this situation, as well. To be honest, Duke is already the most humorous character for me.
