Last session, the group looked around at the three doors in the summoning chamber. First, they disabled the one that had the glyph of warding on it and proceeded through. After a while, you found yourself at a cave in, and Byzat decided to attack it. No one except Azieru decided that this might be a bad plan, and rather than stop him she tried to run away. The place caved in after the first swing, and Byzat, Redhand, Azieru and Lilu fell down a floor.
Isidien, Islona Kristie and Keats could have continued one forward, but instead went back and checked the other doors. Isidien unlocked the door on the right, and peaked inside to find a crypt with 6 sarcophogi and a bedroll in the corner. Deciding not to investigate for now, she and the rest went through the unlocked, untrapped door, and found themselves at another door. Disabling a trap on it, they found themselves in a room with 52 tiles of various colors. The timed puzzle began after Islona (mis)read the riddle on a plaque next to the door, but the group failed to solve it in time on their first try. The trap reset, the tiles rearranging themselves, and this time they correctly solved it at the very last possible second. As the silver-lined door leading ahead unlocked and cracked open, that was where that group left off.
On the floor below, Azieru, Byzat, Lilu and Redhand derped around for a bit, moving back first and finding it to be a dead end. Going forward instead, they proceeded through a doorway that promptly dropped a portcullis behind them. Byzat tried to cut them, but his sword bounced off, and something laughed at them. They wandered around in the dark, gloomy corridors for a while, getting to a lot of dead ends, which was particularly amusing when they walked down one corridor, found a dead end, turned around and walked back the way they had come only to find yet another dead end. Eventually, they found the entrance again only to then separate from one another, Lilu and Azieru going off on their own with a rope that Byzat and Redhand held. The rope broke once they lost sight of one another, and the two women eventually ran into a strange man with a blue lantern.
They talked for a while, as he told them some stuff about the place they were in, mentioning the servant of the mad god and the other guy that stole his lantern and killed people that came down here, and the Thing that was sealed down here. The two of them griped for a while, and unsurprisingly failed to convince the ancient spectral guardian of the catacombs to help them find their lost fellows, until they eventually were taken to stairs leading up and that was where they ended.
The boys, meanwhile, complained at the portcullis for a while. Finding that particularly unrewarding, the two of them headed off into the maze. Eventually, they ran into a crazy old man, whom Redhand argued with for quite a while. He wanted to lead them out, Redhand wanted to find Azieru and Lilu. eventually, Redhand asked him to take them back to the portcullis to wait, and he agreed. That particular group ended just as the pair of them were led through a narrow corridor.
