I could go into a long thing about how this works psychologically, but from a realistic standpoint the answer would be yes, it can very well indicate pedo behavior. It depends a lot on if the hentai/doujin is something more tame (panty shots, implied sex, softcore stuff) or if it's the real deal with graphic sex/rape/tentacles/etc.

Hey, my flat mate was raped by an nine year old girl at the age of six, in the middle of their street. Kids aren't always as innocent as people would make them out to be.

The whole media explosion and social paranoia about pedophilia in the last decade frankly annoys me. It's gotten ridiculous. I'm on the kids side. He's doing nothing wrong.

I wondered the same thing when I heard the tale, but I've heard it from their family too. Whatever exactly was involved the gist was that it was lewd, experimental, and in the middle of the street. I didn't really push for details.
