Back to some more work on this translation, but only a little bit here.

- some images translated in the introduction
- some translations for the princess

- translated the readme for the game
- added an image to the base folder, a bonus title screen type image from the developers website
- all weapon translations are complete
- small fixes/typo corrections
- some more miscellaneous translations

Just to note, I was just working on the game some more. All non-sex scenes are done, actually the last version was pretty close as well.

Only sex/rape scenes remain, and this means the game is 80% completely edited for clarity. It is 100% english, but a lot of the sex scenes are still in the machine translated style.

I must admit disliking editing the rape scenes.

You can just skip editing those with good conscience. Not worth it to burn yourself out by doing things you hate. Those portions are translated anyway.

Update

- translated some untranslated achievement names
- some assorted fixes for typos etc
- edited some more of the sex/rape scenes
- edited some endgame scenes and CG room

Not a lot remains, the game is probably 90-95% edited and should be completely in english, just a bit mangled in some of the sex/rape scenes.

As I dislike some of the remaining scenes I may just work on fixing issues for a while during a playthrough.

One translation I am unsure what is the best in english. If anyone can advise please.

The girl you first meet in the Decayed Scantuary says she keels the lights or something similar. She is not referred by name, except in the CG/Harem room. There she is referred to as
灯守の娘
Currently I have this as 'Daughter of Light' but can anyone advise of a better translation?

I don't speak a lick of Japanese and this may be a stupid answer
but the woman in "Homebase" in the dark souls games
was always called the "fire keeper"...you know, the woman you level up with.
maybe????

in demon souls she was simply "the maiden in black"
also there was an NPC who was a "daughter of chaos" but that would be a stretch

Thanks, she is basically the save as the "fire keeper", she is near a fire and levels up your stats. So calling her then 'Daughter of the Fire' or similar sounds reasonable. I will also alter a little of her initial text to conform with this

I have no doubt it will be one of the versions posted here, so it is likely an older translation I posted not the latest version.

The original developers have not posted an english version of the game. They have of one other game in the past but it was also a fan made translation

Update

I have been play-testing the translation, so

- assorted typos and formatting fixes from testing
- fix an untranslated string for the prostitute
- edited some more sex/rape scenes into more readable english

All text should be in english, but it is machine translated and then most of it has been revised for clarity. Some sex/rape scenes have not been updated (and I may not bother to, I do not like editing them)

I need to do a playthrough to check for typos and clarity of scenes (ie was it is the correct edit/translation) so there will probably be another update or so to correct these as I find time.

Yes, this is very much a tribute/hentai version of the Dark Souls games.

Sorry to necro the post but I'm having an odd problem
applying the latest patch,(used previous patch versions no problem)

when I click "go" in RpgMakerTrans.exe it stays on patching forever...
the progress bar doesn't move at all.

A translated version IS produced, however the data folder is empty
and I have to close rpgmakertrans manually(doesn't hang).

I've tried "run as administrator" and 4.4 is the latest version and
my version to patch from is the original 1.7 jap version.

If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong I'd appreciate it.

I just tried applying the patch to my base, untranslated version, and no problems

I do not think I have done anything to the translation since my last release but in case I have attached the patch I just used

I used RPG Maker Trans 4.4 and Windows 10 with Japanese set as the region set for non-unicode programs

unfortunately I still have the same issue

I've tried re-downloading rpgmakertrans and your patch but no go.

I then tried to apply your The Sleeping Beauty PLUS Ver2.2 trans patch
which I KNOW works as I have the fully translated and original versions
on my pc, but yet again the progress bar does not move.

All my settings are the same as when I applied patches to previous games
I.E windows 10...trans 4.4 ....language settings.
The only thing I can think of that may have changed is background windows
updates but apart from that I'm stumped....I'l try just letting it patch for
an hour or so and see what happens.

My system is fully updated, though it is a 32bit system. It seems unlikely to be update related.

Try disabling your antivirus for the duration of applying the patch. It seems the most likely thing to be interfering here.

Also while patching, open 'Task Manager' and see if there are any other tasks taking large amounts of CPU usage, this may give an indication of what is preventing it applying.

still no go I'm afraid, although my system is 64-bit
My cpu is between 0-5% while patching.
I also tried with my antivirus disabled.(I really thought it would be this)

I'll try to patch again in a week or so just incase its an issue with a
anti-virus auto update conflict.

Sorry to bother anyone in this thread, but I've went in and downloaded the rpgmaker patch and tried it on the game. It still gives me the untranslated version and I am not sure of how to bring the translated parts into said game.
