Any ideas what's the treasure map the guide is talking about referring to the librarian ?
If you're referring to the hima-game guide (or the dev provided 'hints collection'), those seem to be outdated (for v1.2). Back then you got a treasure map (left to you by your master) by examining the bookshelf beside your bed. Following the directions would lead to another map (and a letter from your master plus a piece of his porn collection), and so on (basically a grand scavenger hunt through most of the dungeons/fields), until you reach the actual treasure buried somewhere in the volcano where you find the 1/2 SP cost accessory and a recipe book which teaches you how to craft the Orb of Time (consumable, reverses time by 2 days) and some other higher-end items.

You could show any of the maps to Bookseller Kanae to get a hint on where to go next. This isn't necessary though (the maps are easy enough to figure out yourself if you're familiar with the animal monsters). This is what the guides were referring to.

In v2.0+ you no longer get the treasure map from the bookshelf (you instead get 500 currency). You also don't need recipe books to learn new recipes; you level up your crafting skill instead in order to craft new things. The 1/2 SP cost accessory is also craftable now. They heavily nerfed the Orb of Time though. Now it only reverses time by 1 day and is a total PITA to craft, requiring most of the other higher-end items to craft (it's prolly easier just to grind money and buy Orbs directly from the shady merchant, if you bother to go down that route to extend the number of days without resorting to endless mode [which disables some events]).

There might still be a treasure hunt somewhere. Haven't really played through v2.0+ yet. Still, most of the maps in the various regions have been heavily reworked, so I doubt the treasure maps are still in the game.

Oh, one other thing: what the source of "denki stones" ? I've seen one of them somewhere, but it seems it should be a bit less rare - there are a few recipes that require them.
Jellyfishes drop them (the 'sparkstones'). They're found in the Guardian Spirit Sea, the 'post-game' region with all the sea monsters, which can be reached from the hole down in the Nameless Depths.

Actually, the stones were a case of confusion due to the author's typo - in all of the places *except* lexicon, it's a 'stone'; there - it's an 'orb'.

As for the maps, I haven't seen any, so you're likely right, they're out.
