Not interested in the new girl in the slightest but that's still pretty hype, I thought a continuation for this was gonna be development hell.

I've been following him on ci-en for quite a bit and I think that he's satisfied with how dunero1 performed and sold, so he really went all in developing this one. He did recycle some animations but there's gonna be new ones aswell
 
Judging by what I've seen in the demo so far it's gonna be mostly the old animations but they're all upscaled which is cool (or rather, not as compressed as they were in the first).
New girl is obviously gonna have her own animations but they seem to be less varied as of the demo so we'll have to see how much new content there really is
 
Ugh man, the animations for this guy's H games are great but man is it tedious to get to new content, just constant boner killing grind. I hope he continues to experiment with different H game genre's as he's done so to look for that sweet spot. I'll probably just wait for a full save on this title just as did for the original title after some gameplay.
 
It is indeed pretty grindy. I hope the gameplay gets tweaked a bit in the sequel. But I will sure as hell support anything that isn't your standard 'cookie-cutter' rpg/visual novel template.

I'm assuming the DLC for the first one was cancelled in favor of doing a full sequel? I'm alright with that. I think I read on the dev's blog that this would include delicious lactating milky boobies. Count me in.
 
I think H games need to be designed differently than other games. They're fundamentally different in that people usually want to be fed new content consistently. It's why level based platformers are my preferred method. New level = new roster. As far as dungeon crawler RPG's? Imma be honest, the game should never exceed 3-4 hours. (exceptions made for text and storytelling) New layer? New zone, new enemies. You need to hand out H scenes like candy. Enemy variety should be the name of the game, and any minute not spent introducing new enemies is a minute wasted. I didn't like how big the dungeons got in the latter half of the first game, and how i'd have to descend several isles to see new stuff. I think I played afew hours of it, jerked it, came back afew days later and was like "Do I really want to dungeon crawl for 2 hours, or do I just wanna jerk it? i'mma just check for a save." Honestly, never looked back. I didn't miss much evidently.
 
I can sympathize, never bothered playing this because of it's nature. It's only when plot and gameplay are very well done that they don't drag an H-RPG down. Otherwise I find myself not caring, in large part because I can't read moon, but even when I can read what's going on it's seldom more than a poor excuse to eat up my time. Do I just want H-slideshows? Absolutely not but hot damn stop re-hashing a decades old gameplay system that was boring as fuck to begin with and adding nothing new or modifying it to suit an H-game and for the love of porn stop skimping on content; context can ELEVATE porn but it is not a substitute for it.
 
As I've always said, there's a difference between an H game, and a game with H. Granted this should classify itself more as an H game with like 60+ H animations and H combat rape attacks/seduction, but there's so much bogging it down, it's really hard to feel it unless you're able to finish a fap to a single animation or risk waiting 30+ minutes for your next dose depending on how efficient you are in your grind. If the developer trimmed the meat off in this H game but kept all of the H-related content gameplay I imagine it wouldn't be so sore.

Been playing the demo more and honestly the dungeon crawling is still as asinine as ever. I'm not sure if anyone actually enjoys this, it's as barebones as it gets. Personally the pace at which you get to see animations is still pretty good and keeps me interested but i'm a bit disappointed to see next to no new animations so far.
 
How far has everyone gotten? I made it to the fourth floor, hit a section where it pushes you back, and haven't figured out if I can actually do anything to go further in the trial (mostly because it gets tedious trying to crawl back through the earlier floors and see if I've missed a trigger somewhere when I feel like I get thrown into a battle every ten steps).
 
you can go further than the second one? the only way forward is blocked off on two different sides by goblin hordes who always open with sex attacks, so my party insta wipes. i figured that was the demo wall.
 
Don't want to excuse developer by any means, but guys, keep in mind that this is just a demo version of what originally suppose to be dlc content to previous title. So yes, maybe it utilizes some animation from the first one but there are still a LOT of improvements in Danero Plus. I too would like to see new animations for all girls but I initially considered this game to be a bridge between Danero 1 and 2 and didn't raise my expectation bar too high.

Don't know about you but it warms my heart to see this old game mechanic combined with H elements. Maybe I'm just nostalgic, maybe. Of course there are cons if we compare it to some big titles of this genre but are there any quality like first person 2D dungeon crawlers with decent H animation on the adult market? I'm not aware of such.

The way rusimarudou creates animations makes them quite editable. I recently found out this by messing with unpacked version of first Danero (found it on f95 thread). Overall there are almost 300 animation folders, each contains few images and a file with duration settings. You can place images in any order, add more images, edit any image with Gimp or alike (change color patterns, redraw basic images). In the end we can create altered animations with any length.

The thing is Danero Plus has greater resolution of images compared to first game, so there is much more field to work with, so to speak. But demo version content is still compressed in .pac archive. If anyone can unpack demo version .pac file or know how to, please share with community. I'll give a try to tweak some animation then. If anyone have some questions on creating/editing Danero' animations I'll gladly help.

Please note, I'm not an artist, working with this stuff was the first time I used Gimp, so I'm sure pretty anyone can do this.
Resolution of images in Danero 1 is so low that sometimes your editing is limited to few pixels, so you may want to zoom in to see the difference.

I've done animation as long as 700+ frames (images) and I think it's hardly a length limit. Example gif is in attachment.

How'd you beat the damn ogre on lvl 4?
 
level 37 took me forever and I still can't beat the ogre, doesn't help that the 4th girl the old Blacksmith is completely useless.
 
I don't know if I was actually clever or it was intentionally designed to be passed that way, but I found that walking backwards through the area on floor 4 that wouldn't let you pass lets you get by without triggering the checkpoint that pushes you back. The areas of floors 5 and 6 that you can access afterwards are just short hallways, and I hit another roadblock at floor 7, so here's my save up there if anyone doesn't want to deal with climbing up to it, themselves. At the very least, there appears to be more instances of the "big penis" enemies that I think have new animations up there, so there's that (though I've noticed that trying to trigger their animations with the blacksmith simply doesn't work - guess the dev hasn't created them yet). Floor 2 also has an area that walking backwards let me access, though it was just a group of succubus girls that you can talk to (and as with all of the NPCs here, I don't know if talking to them actually matters/triggers anything).

If anyone else finds more to do, let me know, and to those who are wondering how I got past the boss on floor 4, I just used Cheat Engine to lower its health. The heck with wasting precious time trying to grind/find an effective way to beat them normally; I'm already frustrated enough with the constant battles that I can almost never run away from, especially when many of the enemies seem like damage sponges that can hit the entire party and inflict status effects. I imagine the game would be a little less frustrating if I knew Japanese, though.

Edit/Update: I did a little more poking around and found that I could now open a door on the second floor that has at least two bosses behind it (a wandering dragon and some miko-looking woman), so there's that much more to do, at least. I'll update with more if I play much further and find anything.

Second Update: Beat those bosses (though I assume the dragon is optional/not important), found that the first floor door could be unlocked, beat the boss (and dragon) there, then unlocked the door on the fourth floor, now I can access the majority of the fifth floor. I'm surprised that there's this much to do in the demo.

Final Update: I'm just about played out at this point - I made it to floor 8 and there's two locked doors that I don't want to mess with right now (one on this floor, one on floor 6). I'm deleting my old save and attaching my most current one if anyone wants to take a whack at it. Oh, and there was a boss with 10,000 HP on the eighth floor that I happily cheated to kill.

I like the new party member best so far. Sadly, as mentioned, it's very grindy.
 
The new game is out, according to japanese DLSite release date. (03/16/2022)
