Announced just recently on DLSite, though there's been stuff about it on the dev's blog previously (including a test version - trial version on DLSite seems updated relative to that).
I know there was some talk about it on the りりすばとる! thread, but now that it's been formally announced seems like it'd be a good idea to give it its own thread.
Played around with it a bit and the general gameplay isn't too hard to grasp (though the BF battles can be quite difficult). Seems like the main goal of the game is to defeat a particular dream demon (夢魔); she visits you when you sleep and will drain any levels you have at that time.
If you don't want that to happen, you need to either avoid getting any levels or give them to your companions by letting them leveldrain you (after the intro bit; you can't do this for the 3 at the start). Leveling up your companions will increase their abilities: how so depends on which one you boost - in the trial, there's アーコ the merchant cat (higher level gets her more inventory and better trap avoidance when actively summoned) and コルト the kitsune(?) (higher level can help her cut damage received from 'normal' combat, and high enough level adds a chance to boost your defense in BF combat). Apparently if you level them past 50 their attitude will change; to 100 and it sounds like you'll get a special sort of game over, though I haven't tried that (might not be implemented at this point anyway).
Once you are past the intro bit and have your first companion アーコ you can summon with the 'S' key. You can also talk to your active companion with confirm key (enter/z/space by default); in the case of アーコ this also will let you access a shop while in areas with monsters (the stuff she has for sale is potentially different than what she has in her main shop, though, so you should also check there after leveling her - I'm assuming that some stuff is cheaper there as well but haven't really checked).
The trial contains one map for searching/battling, east of the town/アーコ's shop. Battles vs. regular monsters are simply just running into them to get a level and lose some HP - if you run out of HP, then you're automatically forced back to your inn room and unable to leave until you sleep (You can also get back to the inn by using 帰還の翼 - only way once in a search/battle map besides losing all your HP to regular monsters or beating the area boss in BF - so if you don't want to get levels, then avoid the monsters and grab what items you can). Normal enemies, items and traps seem to be randomly placed, so some might be impossible to get to.
For the trial map's BF foes, weaknesses I noted (in white to avoid being too spoilery):
インプ/Imp - Chest/胸
スライム/Slime - Butt/尻
マンティス/Mantis - Chest/胸
コルト/(Colt/Cort, shrug) - Vagina/アソコ
Also a little interesting thing of note: on コルト's map, you can donate to the donation box below her (or steal from it if you don't donate... but not very well). I highly recommend doing this a lot with the minimal donation amount as this will get you a very nice equip for the BF fights (half skill costs, protect vs. poison status); donating a large amount (think it was over 10k gold total) will also get you a different equipment (a pretty decent weapon for the BF fights with good hit rate). After getting her as a companion you can come back to her map to fight her again (set her as active companion to do so) - losing in this case didn't net a game over, though you still get a loss scene which is different than the first battle. Pretty sure you get a different loss scene on both cases if you lose to her special attack (paizuri) as well.
Anyway, think I've rambled on about my observations of the trial long enough
