Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Edit again: Tassadar, I think the vampire has to make a DC 25 Concentration check to use gaseous form
Actually....

The DC for a concentration check is 10 + damage dealt. In the case of spell use, add the spell's level(3 in this case) to the DC. Being grappled while casting also has a DC of 20, but no other modifiers, though only spells w/o somatic components can be used.(But since the vampire can do the gaseous form at will, not sure.)

So, if a concentration check is necessary, the vampire must roll 3 concentration checks I believe. 1 for Holi's hit, 1 for Trex's hit, and 1 for Carella's grappling. DCs for for each in order would be 31, 30, and 20.

This would also have brought the DC for the concentration check I had to make up by 9, but I would have still passed by the skin of my teeth.

Or I could be completely wrong, but I don't think that's the case.

EDIT: Wouldn't Trex also get an extra attack from the haste spell?

At will = no concentration check. If it were being cast as a spell, your checks would be correct (I think.)

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

...(Am I missing some XP somewheres 1000 more only put's me at 19000, which won't level me up.)
To reinforce this (And bring the ooc discussion to the ooc thread), so far the xp seems to be thus:

17000 starting xp

+250xp from the orc encounter
+750xp from the first vampire encounter
+1000xp from the second vampire encounter for the group that explored the cave

This means that Malacet, Granth, and the NPC Aramil have 18000xp and everyone who was in the cave has 19000xp. Therefore we either need 3000xp or 2000xp to hit 21000xp which is the next point where we level up.

If I am wrong please correct me.

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Sorry, for some reason thought 19000 xp was a level up. Not sure why, I play too many rpgs to know exactly where that's from. Also, a quick note, the NPC's will never level up.

Oh good then I wasn't completely missing something. So how much money in total should each of us have now. I must admit to not having updated that at all yet, so I'm lost there.

Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches D&D 3.5

Well you just got 1000 gp from the coffin bag, along with 2300 gp and 7200 sp from the chest each. earlier, you all got 300 sp from the first vampire encounter, and 47 cp and 18 sp from the orcs.

Totals currently are 3300 gp, 7518 sp, and 47 cp.

That's a lot of coinage... PLEASE say that you don't play by the rule that 50 coins weighs 1lb. :/

Lol, no. I always wondered how they carry all those coins though. Money is declared weightless in my games, just pretend you all keep it in a bad of holding that can only hold money.

Yeah that's always been one of those things that's hard to believe about the game, never counted it towards encumbrance myself though.

So do you guy's actually want to divide it up or just keep it as a party fund till we get somewhere we can use it. Then we can just worry about dividing up the other loot to who can use it best.

From what I gathered in the main thread, we each got that amount. If we did a group pool the amount would be unnecessarily massive.

Ah I see, well hopefully we get somewhere to spend it then. It would be a shame to die with all that. I agree to dividing it up then, on with the show .

Notice: I'll be away for the weekend with no internet access. So, after tonight (Thursday), I won't be able to post until I get back Sunday night.

Interrogation huh. Makes me wish I'd made a cleric of Loviatar instead.
