(Ahhh... Well, you're going to find out sooner or later.)

Heading back towards Natalies throne room takes her once more past the crowd of demons. The woman she'd seen beneath the Hellfang earlier seemed to have expired beneath it, the powerful creature having literally fucked the woman to death, and was lying, discarded, on the bottom of the hill. Another demon woman was already approaching the beast, apparently to offer herself up for the same treatment, despite the last one having died.

Her path takes her past another group of hellhounds, all of them lying down much like regular dogs, with their heads resting on their paws. A few stir as she approaches, but they don't bother her, only giving her a cursory examination before returning to their naps.

The walk takes about a half hour, but Maria eventually gets to Natalies chamber. Heading through the opened door, Maria walks in to find the woman sitting on her granite throne, just as before, though she was completely naked this time. She couldn't be sure, but Maria thought that the womans breasts looked swollen, and her nipples were hard and red, as though someone had been sucking on them recently. The demoness smiles at Maria as she spots her entering, and says; "Good morning Maria! I trust you slept well?" Her voice was more cheerful than previously, containing a hint of joy that Maria found surprising in the woman.

Maria looks away from the dog as she walks past it, disgusted at what it was doing, but knowing full well that interferring would be fatal. She continues on her way towards where she first remembered seeing Natalie.

Entering the throne room, she looks at the woman for awhile, and decides to bow, giving a sign of respect, before speaking, "Yes, I did have a good rest. I'm just wondering if you needed me for anything specific today? Because if not, I may decide to simply wonder around on the other side of the gate..."

Natalie replies; "I've got nothing in mind for you to do today. I'm going to be rather busy questioning our new guest, actually. So, the day is yours, to do with as you wish. The guards at the gate will let you pass, as always, just do try not to get yourself killed. Many of the human hunters will be able to recognize you as one of us now, so they will show you no mercy. If you need to find me, I'll be in one of the prison compounds, which are about a mile North of here. Good hunting!" And, with that, Natalie waves her off, signaling that she is dismissed.

Maria nods and bows slightly, glad that so far, it seemed she was doing okay. Standing up, she looks around, "Alright, I guess I'll be exploring the other side a little today..." Checking her weapons and her bag one last time, she wraps her cloak around herself and starts heading once again towards the portal...

Natalie nods, and repeats; "Good hunting!" As Maria bows, and watches her as she departs from the demons chamber. The walk to the portal is quick and invigorating, and she steps through the gate back into her old world to find herself flanked by a pair of massive ogres. The creatures give her little more than a passing glance, allowing her to go about as she pleased since she was a demon herself. Maria finds herself startled by how bright the light of the sun seems to be, her eyes having already gotten used to the relative gloom of the demons world.

It was still morning, and she had the entire town open to her. She could proceed North or West toward the river, South toward the center of town, or East toward the forest that bordered that side of the town.

Maria shields her eyes as she looks at the gate guardians, then checking that everything made it through the gate successfully, she begins to slowly walk towards the center of town, deciding that if there was anyone killing her demonic kin, they would most likely be there...

Her equipment, along with her person, is completely intact after her trip through the gate, and Maria slowly moves along. She starts heading West, and then turns South after a short distance, encountering nothing but small groups of demons that are patrolling the area. Eventually, she reaches what is almost certainly the towns city hall, a large stone building with large marble columns that look oddly similar to the ones she was growing familiar with in the demon world. A fountain lay in the center of the courtyard in front of the large stone building, but it was broken by the charred corpse of an ogre. The oak double doors in the front of the building were closed, as were both of the side entrances, but from where Maria stood at the bottom of the steps leading up to the building, she couldn't tell whether or not the doors were locked.

Maria walks up towards the building and slowly reaches out a hand, trying gently to push the door open, if it would not open, she would attempt to knock on the door, seeing if there was anyone inside...

The front doors slide open as Maria pushes on them. Beyond, the room is lit by a bubble of magical light that floated in the center of the room. Other than that, all that was in the room was a large desk sitting directly in front of her and two oak doors on either side of the desk.

Maria looks around, then approaches the door on the right, once again trying to slowly push it open, trying to listen carefully for noises as she glances around a few times, trying to not get ambushed.

Perception: Success.
Stealth: Failure.

Maria pauses as she hears voices form the other side of the door, though they are too muffled for her to understand. She cautiously pushes it open and spots a group of Fey clustered within the room beyond. The group consists of two women in loose green robes, a troll that looks like he could barely fit through the doors, and three gruffs, two with swords and one with a massive maul.

They were in a circle, speaking too low for Maria to make out what they were saying, and all the rest seemed to be listening to the gruff armed with the massive hammer. She noticed also that he seemed to be much bigger and more muscular than the others, though he didn't lose the agile lean look of his kind. The room they were in was much larger than the entrance hall, and had marble floors and columns that supported a high ceiling that seemed to have been formed entirely of stained glass. Other doors lined the sides of the room, all closed except for a set of double doors on the opposite side from her. The room was huge, easily twenty feet across and fifty feet forward, but was otherwise empty.

Suddenly, the leader of the Feys head perked up, and he stopped talking. He spun around suddenly, his maul clenched in his hands, and shouts; "Demon spy! Behind that door! Don't let her escape!" The other Fey turn toward her and start moving toward her position immediately, all rushing forward to try and reach her first. Luckily, they were a good distance away, at least thirty feet, so she had plenty of time to try and thin their numbers or run away.

Maria quickly pulls out her long rifle, the one that was her own, not the one she had 'borrowed', and quickly fires off a shot at whoever was closest to the door before moving a few steps back, hoping to use the door as a chokepoint so that she would not be swarmed from all sides as she yells in reply, "If you value your lives, do not come after me!"

Damage: 1 + 10 = 11 damage.

The round from Marias rifle strikes one of the charging trolls center of mass. The Fey creature emits a grunt of pain, and its charge slows, but it doesn't stop anymore than its companions do, even though it falls behind the trio of gruffs as they run toward Maria. The two women stop in their tracks, however, and suddenly let out a chanting cry as she pulls back from the door and issues her warning.

Casting: Success.

A swarm of grasping vines and roots tear their way up through the floor beneath her feet, and grasp at her ankles. With her newly acquired demonic strength, she had little trouble in tearing herself free from them, however, so they only occupied a very brief second of her time. The Fey clearly hadn't been stopped by her warning or the shot she'd delivered into the trolls chest, and if she was going to fight, the door would at least keep the troll and more than two of the gruffs from engaging her at any one time. The women and the chieftain remained behind, the former intent on using spells while the latter was content to merely order the other Fey into battle.

(Guns need upgrading.)

Maria discards her rifle and swings her fist at the first fey's stomach, attempting for now to simply beat the crap out of the, in her mind, stupid creatures, "Stop! I do not wish to have to kill you!"

To-hit: 12 + 56 + 3 = 71 vs 37 == Hit.
Damage: 7 + 2 + 23 - 4 = 28 damage.

Marias fist slams into the leading gruffs chest as it charges her, and the Fey creature is caught by surprise by her incredibly strength. He stumbles back, barely avoiding slamming into his companions who are right behind him, but doesn't drop from the blow or respond to her words. It seemed that the creatures would not be swayed by anything she said, perhaps short of surrender, though she doubted that they'd be kind to her if she became their prisoner, assuming they didn't just kill her outright.

To-hit: 8 + 42 = 50 vs 54 == Miss.
To-hit: 9 + 42 = 51 vs 54 == Miss.

Two other gruffs, however, rush around the wounded one, and swing their blades at her. Luckily, the close quarters prevent them from flanking her, and she easily dodges both attacks. The other Fey, due to the cramped spaces, are unable to make any attempt to strike, including the mages, whom Maria can see out of the corner of her eye fro a brief second before the troll begins trying to make his way through the doorway.

Ducking and swaying away from the blade swings, she suddenly turns, aiming a kick straight for the one she had been hitting earlier, while trying to keep an eye on the other two, almost dancing around as she tried to avoid being flanked, deciding for now to try to simply knock all of them out.

To-hit: 6 + 56 + 3 = 65 vs 37 == Hit.
Damage: 1 + 2 + 23 - 4 = 22 damage.

Marias kick hammers into the already wounded gruffs chest with startling force, sending him crumbling to the ground, gasping for breath and clearly in severe pain. The creature was wounded and out of the fight, at least for the next few minutes.

To-hit: 19 + 42 = 61 vs 54 == Hit.
To-hit: 14 + 62 = 51 vs 54 == Hit.
Damage: 2 + 14 - 2 = 14 damage. Armor at 13/20 TP
Damage: 4 + 31 - 2 = 33 damage. Armor at 0/20 TP (Ouch.)

Maria suddenly felt a searing pain in her side, and reflexively pulled back just in time to avoid being gutted by the uninjured gruffs sword when it struck her just beneath her floating ribs. Her clothes were badly torn by the strike, and she had a long cut, but it wouldn't kill her, and she could still fight despite the pain. As she recovered, however, the troll stuck one hand through the doorway that he couldn't quite get through and backhanded her. Her shirt was shredded as she slammed into the wall, thrown there by the force of the trolls strike, and fell from her upper body in tatters, leaving her chest completely bare.

Maria grunts as she tries to pull herself back onto her feet as she switches to the high powered rifle she had 'borrowed' from the man earlier, quickly jamming a bullet into it and firing it at the first troll she could see, "Screw you!"

To-hit: 2 + 56 + 6 + 3 + 2 = 69 vs 28 == Hit.
Damage: 12 + 30 = 42 damage.

The gun in Marias hands barks sharply, and the troll roars in pain as the powerful gun sends a bullet directly through one of its lungs. It pulls back out of the doorway, clutching at its chest, the chunk of iron now lodged in its body obviously causing it incredible pain.

To-hit: 1 + 42 = 43 vs 54 == Miss.

The second gruff tries to slash at Maria, but misses completely.

(Doh... sorry, I'll add it in abit)

Maria goes after the one that was injured, trying to follow up the shot with a roundhouse kick, hoping to finally put down that gruff as well even as she deftly dodges the first, "You're not going to be able to hit me with footwork that slow!"
