it's not that hard to search on ryona just read the comment section it tells you about the char added and looks at the non red files for chars I remember schlussel got added recently there for kuromaru press but still has some palette issues

i didn't know you could search, i browse the damn thing page by page file by file
and yeah kuro press chars all have issues some or other
and some of the updated ones are not as best as the original since they always lose something in exchange for another thing (for example kotaro's expressions are lost on the kotaro&iari bundle...and so)
there's a saki edited in pornhub in a vid named unfair fight 3 by user greedyseedy, we can do that because the char already have the sprites and horuakuti explained how to do it (i think he didn't put the right numbers tho) but i never got it to work 100% right

MUGEN itself is just a fighting game engine / framework, you have to add characters / stages yourself. Any collection will be outdated within a few months.

I'd probably go to Gettag's Patreon and grab his starter pack, which has a pretty good tutorial for beginners first.
You can also add more of his available characters from the same Mega link too.
Then yeah, HCM is another resource as a warehouse for old characters that people are just posting for archival purposes (and no, "restoring" doesn't change a damn thing about the victim characters).

Answer: No, Brian's attack anim to grab works on both free and patreon. AFAIK, the patreon releases are the same as the free ones, just released about 2-3 weeks earlier.

No idea on what "stun-different-animations/sounds compatible" means to you. I'm assuming you're asking how many victims are compatible with the stun anim.
If that's what you mean, only a handful are currently compatible. It's actually not too hard to implement, but the problem is that Gettag is doing everything himself; if he had a separate sprite artist, I'm sure this would go much faster.

There's one on hentaicharmugen, though I noticed that alot of characters there are 504ed. There's a link on the OP.

If Twister's assumption is correct, and it is 504'd, feel free to use this one. It has most of the positions, including the one you linked, and if you do kuromaru finisher stuff she has a custom animation involving many little 'marus and clothesplay.

Good question! I'm fairly certain I got it from sakura ryona, you can easily find it I'm sure, it's basically a billboard chat with a lot of characters and tweaks. If it's not from there, then I plucked it up from a 4shared group a little while back, to which the URL is definitely somewhere in this thread! Sorry I can't help ya further than that, most of them are now snugly tucked away in a single Mugen I own now.

I know a couple sites (Betmarks & HCM I think) display a list of compatibles, often showing whether or not they have a compatible finisher. Asides from that, I'm fairly certain you either have to test them out in game or see if they have a correct group of sprites listed in Fighter Factory.
