So ugh i finally decided to add missionary sprites that I found on the sakura uploader site to the female characters that I have so i downloaded fighter factory 3.0.1 . The problem is that I am a complete newbie and that I have no experience on how to add sprites or use fighter factory in general, anyone can give me a guide on how to add them? also, if i'm guessing that the codes needed can be copy pasted from complete characters (Like schlussel 1.83) to other characters, specifically arcana heart characters in order to screw them in those positions ingame.
*Note the rapists i mainly use are kuromaru_short and gettag's marco

I'm interested in adding sprites since I found missionary sprites for taiga aisaka and kirino a while back, but I deleted them.. Would be nice to learn how all this stuff works so that I could go back and try it.

I'd teach you myself, but it's a bit tedious repeating information over and over. Someday I (or one of the more experienced modders) here might start on a basic H-guide. Oh, and fwiw, the missionary anim (aka the piledriver, as translated from japanese), is sprite/anim group 12250.

I wouldn't have a problem if the characters were easier to find. I tried using ryona mugen and I'm still not sure if its the right site because the site is written in japanese and the url is a bit different. Also using that site is a pain because I have to pretty much guess what's what. Also there doesn't seem to have any way to search for specific characters which is frustrating...
I found Taiga from toradora and Kirino, but the rar files only contains the bmp files for the animation and nothing else. I guess those would be useful if I knew how to assemble them and make the characters myself...

try to find tutorial for indexing sprites,those released there just need a palette on them,i use fighter factory to index them,more advanced users use photoshop.adding them into the char is a easy thing

you are using ff classic.
try with ff3 latest build (or sae) so you don't need to convert.
petra sprites are already palette compatible.

It's mind bogglingly annoying trying to piece together dead links and searching through the thread, trying to get past links that don't work or videos you can only watch so much of in a day ._.

Sorry guys, I get that it's real hard, especially because a ton of this stuff is in Japanese and the resources are scarce. Hell, trying to find stuff is difficult, and trying to find people who can speak English (and are available/willing) to teach this stuff is even harder...and this is even BEFORE trying to learn this all. But if anything, consider yourselves lucky--I had to learn this 5-6 years ago when there wasn't much in terms of resources/websites to use, and not many English-speakers were available to help. And it's funny because what you're trying to learn (applying sprites), isn't really that difficult. Rather you're giving up quickly. I definitely won't judge you for that. But it's my personal opinion to not help people who won't help themselves; if you want to go and leech a game download in another thread, that's fine. But personally, I see H-mugen as something you should really work for and enjoy, because it's meant to be a customized and collaborative experience. Heck, Mugenhti just threw out his finished version of Petra (with the piledriver included), if you need it as an example.
So no hard feelings whatsoever--we all have jobs or school or a life, and I totally get we're lazy or unable or unwilling to learn or try to do this. That's fine. But again, while I'm more than happy to help and teach someone how to do this (and I'll stress I'm still learning too), I'm not going to throw handouts for something I worked so hard to accumulate and learn and build over the years. <rant>
Still, I don't mind pointing you in the right direction; feel free to reach out to Judael and PM him, since his RMDB mugen is easily the best complete H-mugen I've seen (and I've used it as the foundation to my own H-mugen). I can't recall if the OP's links are up to date, but those should be starting points to a simple working H-mugen, and Betmark's character warehouse, if it's still online, is organized, if somewhat outdated.
Oh yeah, and I think I posted links to Alf's 4Shared account which also has H-characters and a pretty good QoF H-mugen, a few pages back...just do a search or something.
EDIT: Kuroneko, I'll reiterate it's pretty simple to do this. PM me or Judael or Mugenhti and we (or I at least) will be glad to walk you through it.
And thanks Mugenhti for the Petra; I already implemented the sprites, but mine were just a little bit off, and so I used yours for reference; turns out I was a single pixel too high. -__-
