She i going to fight, and he needs to be naive.
The combo of the two will either make her a tough dumb-ass, or a weak naive girl trying to fight and trying to be strong.

either is good. it all depends on weather the audience wants to see a hardened heroin broken or a weakling taken advantage of and forced to submit. idk which to choose....

im leaning towards shoulder length air, not too short but not to long. Hair and eye color needs to be exotic, maybe even sets of eyes with two different colors (its a condition, one eye can blue and the other can be green). The idea will come to me soon

Body type, ...im inexperienced so this will be on of my biggest challenge. she's 19,so..... maybe an average height will do, but her bwh(breast/ waist/ hips)..... what should it be. It would loo ugly if i tried to go with an exaggerated body type ( huge breast,huge hips) so average is gud. Maybe a c-cup too.

ummm.... what am i missing....

Man drawing sprites is fun but hurt my eyes... I like a more realistic feel,
sounds good avarage seems like a good balance, she needs to be a balance between shes encounters these monsters before and is not yet a hardboiled fighter. Maybe have a decision that change the way the cara encounters her enemies like harmless monsters that can't make her orgasm or something.

where should we start?

Start by throwing some quick tempoary sprites toghter in paint (stick figures).
Make the sprites into objects and start creating your enviroment.
Practice with the temporary sprites so you can learn how to produce the game mechanics that you want.

After that you will have one of two things:
1. A nice working game that looks like crap or...
2. A mess of a 'game' that looks and plays like crap (or does not play at all).

If you have #1 awesome! NOW its time to start worrying about some decent sprites and making that game look as good as it plays.

If you have #2, (as 90% of people do) then its a good thing that you diddnt waste months waiting for sprites to be made. Go back and iron out the mechanics or just give up.

Sprites are the most time consuming part of a game, but the mechanics are much more important. If you are not confident in game maker, dont waste time waiting if you dont need to. There are things you can be doing right now (temporary sprites and object interactions).

I personally vote for a weakling. Leave the fighting to the fairies. Oh, and red eyes. Or purple.

i will make a powerpoint once i draw the sprites. i will soon have access to money and i found a decent drawing tablet for $70.00. i will get it but... (continue under next quote)

i will follow this guide lines because i did finish the tutorial but im not so sure about how to apply the game that will be made. my question is how will the raping scene be played out? like one the object is hit by another object,will a gif play? and by run or rape, you mean like jungle girl or demon girl, or even angle girl...9 played all of them:D) if so i would have a better vision on how the game should run.

lastly- this is the second time i was tricked. i am too damn naive. i was actually gonna make a power point

EDIT: Starting to make dummy sprites to see how to make a fake game, and im starting to understand the things with different sprites and allowing them to run through in an object

Two words "Animated Sprite"
Game maker has a built in sprite editor that lets you make animations. I usually make a Sprite Sheet with my program of choice and then animate it in GM. Hit up google for information on what a sprite sheet looks like and how to add it into game maker.

Sprites can be as large or detailed as you want (after all, you ARE the one designing the game). You are only limited by your (and your players) computers processing power.

Unfortunally I cant help much more than I already am. Like I said, I got my own project going on right now and I just started making the sprites for it (which is a nightmare). Ill be spending a few months on the sprites alone... one pixel at a time.... literaly...

Sorry I disappeared last night my internet went down and didn't come back until 6:00 Pm today -_- (Still have no idea what happened and neither does my internet provider but anyways...)

I'm not really sure if the idea exists but sort of a side scrolling 2d style game was how I imagined it. Not like Demon girl/Jungle girl but more like say...Milia wars (Only one I could think of in that style at the moment.)

I love the heterochromia idea (I think that's the right word for when someone has two different eye colours...) I say that or the purple eyes either way.

Still trying to decide what her weapon should be any suggestions? Also would it be helpful if I wrote in a full bio for the character and the storyline or is that unnecessary at this point?

By the way any suggestions for enemy types or possible game mechanics that you would like to see in this game when/if it gets made are welcome and encouraged.

(This game might actually have a chance... :cool:)

this game will happen..... but damn......

i seem to cant make a regular sprite move forward when i press the Left arrow button.idk how. this is hard, but imma keep at it.

as for the eyes, how about the two eyes color thingy but have one eye purple and the other another color, idk what goes gud with purple.

and for the bio, yes. give as much description as you can so when she is getting drawn, i will have a gud idea on how she would look

edit: AHA!!!! Made it work half way.... now i have to make it stop moving when released....

on youtube to see how to make a simple side scrolling game..... this is bullshit

EDIT: GAHHHHHH.... ok... im going to start with a sprite sheet, them im going to learn how to jump, walk, any other random actions( roll, dash, whatever) and attack. Any tip for me cause im going on youtube to see if i can find a tutorial on each. i cant seem to make the sprites run through to make an animation while in motion.... example, when moving, show the sprite walking. tried and i didn't succeed. need to learn learn

No worries Im back. Im a little buzzed so if my logic sounds flawed, let me know.

Ok I think what you are asking was how to make the animation look like its walking when you walk...

As an example lets use the movements 'run right', 'stand still', and 'run left'.

To begin you need three different sprites (usually animated). One of them of the character running left, another is them standing still and so on.

When the LEFT key on the keyboard is pressed you should have some thing like this.

Left key is pressed > Set Friction to 0 > Change sprite to 'Run right' > Move in direction 180 at speed (whatever).

Left key is released > Set friction to 1 > Change sprite to 'stand still' > Move in direction 0 at speed 0.

In case youre wondering, the friction allows your character to have a nice stop. Without it they come to a dead stop the instant you let off the key. This makes for a nice soft stop that you see in most games.

AngelKara, The type of gameplay you are talking about is known as a 2D platformer which is what (im my opinion) is the the GM engine is best for.

this will take me a while. at least maybe a month to actually master the basics. i can't do shit yet. trying to jump, trying to make the sprite animation play when in movement. my head hurts

Now you have nothing to say when game artists are crying about not making any money.

It truly is hard work... and alot of it.

Besides, you think its hard now? It only gets worse. Just look at what I have to do before the character even moves! (see attached screenshot). Luckly you dont have to get that in depth... yet....

A month for just the basics?! No way... It shouldnt take more than a few days to get a functioning game going.

well how did you learn everything you know. like even the if situation shit. how can i learn that, cause i have no idea how to make this work. still trying to make walking and the walking animation work together.


edit: i made it work.... but is there a tab where i can invert the object if its walking in another direction or should i make a whole new object and sprite facing the other way

It depends on how detailed you want to be. For now just invert it. When you get better with sprites it looks more impressive if you have seperate sprites (If they hold a weapon in thier right hand it stays in thier right hand ect.)

As for me? practice.

i will invert it ltr. i got walking down, now i need to jump. youtube explains it like rocket science..... how do you jump. i know it has something to do with step and gravity.

and after this im taking my ass to bed, this is difficult, but im making progress

EDIT:got bored and inverted it anyway. worked too. Im coming alone nicely ^_^

EDIT X2: didn't know the advance mode had better stuff. Narrowed the view mode,..... yesss

Yeah its more complicated that you prolly imagined and will take me a long time to explain. One of the best things you can do is find a game that someone else has made (lots of people on the game maker site) and pull it apart. That way, you can learn hands on and it will be a thousand times more effective than me trying to explain it.

Im finally going to sleep. I spent all day working on my game and I got ONE (animated) running sprite done... Yeah... fun.
