I love that I managed to live through a grueling hike today. And that my parents waited until today to go hiking, instead of going yesterday after giving blood.

I love that short period after summer break when you're genuinely glad to see your classmates again, but before you remember how much you despise most of them.

Meh. I don't have that problem at my college. Different people every semester, it feels like. With the occasional one or two people from last semester, but even then, they were cool people.

Also, I love Hetalia. Hands down, I love Hetalia. As a (sorta) history nerd it makes me laugh in ways never seen before. xD

The vast majority of my classes have nearly 90% of the same people in all of them. We've all gotten to know each other pretty good, and I noticed this semster that we've basically all gotten on equal footing with the "high school friends". Also, oddly enough, despite having been at college for over a year now, I have yet to encounter any assholes, or at the very least any malicious ones. There are a few that play it for laughs. Even the teacher that's an asshole isn't really disliked. Sure, we hate his classes with a passion, but as a person he hasn't made us hate him.

Reminds me of a funny story today. We were in linear algebra, and he was lecturing about something or other, then paused to ask a question and did his standard "smile and wait for an answer, I know none of you have the remotest idea what I'm talking about" pose, when one kid shot back a "We can't answer all the questions for you, how else are you suppost to learn!". The teacher actually broke down laughing for half a minute before continuing. Sure, he's utterly cruel when it comes to making tests and grading them, but if you counter him with his own sarcasm he'll laugh along with you.
