That being said, this shouldn't have warranted air time.
In many cases it becomes an issue of convenience to a point of dependence. It's difficult to look after a family and maintain a job, and the fast food industry does help take care of some of the strain.

If you feel neither of the two above alternate options are available to you, FEEL FREE TO STARVE. If they aren't available to you because you live in BUTTFUCK NOWHERE, QUIT LIVING THERE AND MOVE.

Man, if people are complaining about not having fast food, they really need to get back down to earth.
(It seems silly to have to state it but...) a person can live just fine without ever stepping foot in a fast food joint OR a restaurant. It pretty much just requires setting a budget out for food, buying only what you need at the market (or finding alternatives like farmers markets and local-owned organic places, if you're interested in buying local and getting better quality instead of going cheap), nabbing a recipe book (or using the internet if that's available to you) and planning ahead so that you're making food on days that you have time, freezing it, and simply thawing it out when you're on the run.
It's not that hard! Planning ahead (and being smart about spending -- though it doesn't sound like they've got this worry XD) will do you wonders!
