The story time minigame requires you to input hiragana when the girls ask you how to pronounce certain kanji in the book. It's designed to be hard for Japanese people so the words they ask about are ridiculously obscure. If you have a text hooker and a Japanese IME installed, I suppose it's trivial though (assuming your text hooker dictionary even has all of these words). Maybe I'm missing something, but the whole scenario makes no sense if you're supposed to be reading the book to them in the first place....
