Touhou CYOA - Second edition

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

B. Up and Over. Going up the mountain may give us a better lay of the land.

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

A Tentacle cave? sound fun : )

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

(When did I say it's a tentacle cave? But who knows what she can find there)

Against their sound judgement, the pair carefully proceed down the dank, dark cave. As they progress downward, the cave starts to get darker, but never completely pitch black.

A few hours of spelunking down the pathways, Shou and Byakuren find themselves at an intersection. Suddenly a crunching noice startles them. Under Byakuren's foot, they can see a jawbone. Scattered on the cave floor are several other kinds of bone. Suddenly finding themselves scared, they need to move cautiously. But where to go?

A. Left, farther down

B. Center, same height

C. Right, slight rise

C

Going down doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

Picking the rising trail, the girls advance that way.

After a brief foray into the path, Byakuren hears a muffled cry from behind her. Quickly turning, she notices that Shou is missing. Hearing quiet shuffling sounds above, she notices that there's a hole on the ceiling. Unable to reach there, she is forced to proceed alone

A little further along the path, she comes to a bigger clearing in the caves. Much to her surprise, there is a youkai there. A little girl stands in a bucket, looking at the ceiling. Looking up, Byakuren can see a rope hanging just out of the girl's reach. She tries to jump for the rope, but is too short

A. Help the youkai girl

B. Ignore her

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

A) Just do it.

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

A. Help all those in need and be gracious about it... Also flaunt that she is taller hahahahah.

Grabbing the rope, Byakuren pulls it down for the bucket girl. The youkai takes the offered rope from her and expertly ties the end back around the bucket handle. With the knot done, she begins to rise in the air, as if some invisible force was pulling the rope for her. Waving happily to Byakuren, she vanishes to the darkness near the ceiling

Proceeding onwards to the nearby tunnel, Byakuren starts to notice an increasing number of cobwebs around her. A short distance afterwards, the bones start to increase in number. After some labyrinthine tunnels, she arrives at a huge cavern full of webbing. Inside them are numerous skeletons and some web packages, humanoid in shape. As she looks over, one of the packages wriggles a bit. Hurrying there, she starts to peel away the sticky web coating, and maybe saving someone's life. As she unpacks the head, the victim inside is shockingly enough Shou. The tiger girl is breathing slowly, but her eyes are glazed over, like she was drugged. Before Byakuren can free her further, she is stopped by a rasping voice: "I wouldn't do that, if I were you".

Turning around, Byakuren is now facing an abomination. It has the upper body of a young blonde girl in an orange dress, but the lower body is that of a monstrous spider. "You don't touch my meal and get away with it" the spider-girl mix says as it starts to advance towards her. Noticing Shou's spear next to her, Byakuren quickly picks it up

A. Try to run away

B. Try to call for help

C. Try to fight the monster off

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

C! Though, were it an option I'd probably say try and talk the thing down.

Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition

B) Doubt the spear will do much good.
