Re: Touhou CYOA - Second edition
With her desire to help others getting over her, Byakuren steps forward. As she begins to focus, Meiling starts to gather her Ki power again.
"You two give them everything you got, I'll handle the ones that get through" the gate guard says as her battle aura explodes into existence. As her focus deepens, Byakuren can feel some of the familiar words of power in her mind again. Inciting the words, she lets out her first spell in a long, long time.
"Purple Mist Omen!" she shouts out as the purple bullets fly from her outstretched hand, eliminating a few creatures from the pack.
"Ho ho, not bad Byakuren. But let me show you some real magic." Patchouli says as she rises to the air, finishing her own incantation "Sun Sign: Royal Flare!"
Upon Patchy's release, streams of fire burst into existence, bouncing towards the charging beasts. As the fires make contact, they burst into flames, incinerated to ashes in mere seconds. But four are still charging at them, seemingly not bothered by the horrific deaths of their kin
With the final creatures bearing upon the girls, Meiling surges forward. For a brief second, a dragon-like aura flashes around her, as her fist connects with the first beast. The immense force drives her strike through the creature's head, causing an explosion of cranial matter. Withdrawing her hand from the bloody mess, Meiling flipdodges the next beast's lunge as it attempts to pile on her, landing hard on the thing's back. With a contemptuous sneer, she drives her foot on the creature's spine, breaking it. The third creature is quickly following after its comrade, but is stopped by a high kick to the jaw. As the tip of Meiling's shoe pierces into the beast's head, leaving it hanging there, it tries vainly to escape from the torturous suspension. But the gate guard is quick to end it's suffering, stomping down on the ground, snapping it's neck in the process. Turning her attention to the final youkai, she notices it is trying to flee.
"THINKING YOU CAN FLEE!? HAAAAAAAHAAAAA!" the frenzied dragon girl roars, hurling a blast of ki after the fleeing creature. Unable to make it to the forest in time, the youkai is caught in the blast and blows up into tiny, smoking bits.
The battle is over now, but the magicians are still a bit unsure if they should approach the still-charged gate guard. But to their relief, she suppresses her overflowing ki power, returning back to her normal, easygoing self.
"Sorry if I scared you misses. When I let the dragon's power flow freely, I kinda lose myself." Meiling says, bowing at them in apology. Believing going back the best couse of action, they wave goodbye at the gate guard, letting her gather herself in peace
As they head down the corridor, a curiously heavy-duty door catches Byakuren's eye.
