TP forums: Aftermath

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

In Orbit?! Son of a... This ship is only a single person fighter... Alright, I think we can deal with that, I'll need a radio to call back to our forum as soon as you have a minute.

Shrike hops down from the platform and starts tearing open supply containers, trying to figure out what all they needed to fabricate. She might sa well get the techs back on the forum started on them when she radios back her plan. Tearing open one of the last crates, a smile crosses her face. Even dead, Tobias never fails to surprise her...

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

"Then maybe it's time for a hands on anatomy lesson." She grins, letting the knife play over his chest, listening as he talks about the creatures, curiosity and perhaps a touch of disbelief being the only emotions he gets out of her as he explains what they are.

"Well, then I guess it's them I need to keep alive now, not you." She doesn't answer about him calling the others. They'd either have more of them down here to deal with or they'd be visiting them soon enough. Resting the edge of her blade against the spot where his jaw meets his throat, she cuts a quick line under his jaw and across it to the opposite side.

"Guys, be prepared for some potential ugly incoming. On my way back now."

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

"Yes I suppose so. But I will die knowing you did not get out of this valley alive!"

His throat then was slashed, killing the creature almost instantly.

Before Copper could even wonder what he'd meant by that, a meaty metallic tentacle smashed into her backside, likely sending her flying into the debris in front of her with enough force to have knocked out a human. Luckily, Copper wasn't human. When she turned to look, she would see a massive ten foot tall hulking metallic tentacle beast in front of her, tentacles waving rapidly. What was most chilling was the complete lack of any soul or life behind the eyes, and the fact each tentacle was lined with countless numbers of scar like projections, which if she made the connection would eerily remind her of a wraith feeder. This could only be a Thembrihkal, the creature the wraith had been talking about.

The the time for thought was over, a single tentacle lashing out, attempting to grab her around her waist.

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

"Oh you've got to be fucking kidding me." We've got nasties! Letting out a yelp as the thing lashed out at her, she literally threw herself forward into a roll to get out of the way. Not a pleasant feeling, given the way her leg was still aching, but she'd take that over the bad touch any day. Now the question was if she'd be able to get up and over the rubble before it caught her.

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

More bots? Shrike asked. She had just finished dragging an entire supply crate up the ladder to the platform by hand, and was taking a breather while the ship finished it's engine check and quietly lifted off the ground a couple feet, settling it's anti-grav to have it hover in the usual landed position that she recognized so well.

Can you handle them? The ship is ready to fly, more or less, as soon as I cut a hole in the building large enough for her to slip through, we can load up the supplies and finish the repairs at home base.

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

Copper was lucky that the first attempt she made to get up failed, as the thing swung another tentacle over her, the force behind it powerful enough she would be certain had it made contact with her head it would have decapitated her.

The thing let out a loud noise, possibly frustration being let loose, then slammed another tentacle downward to the ground where she was. Luckily she managed to get her footing under her and was able to dodge that. Her luck finally came to an end though as she scrambled for the debris field, trying to get over it. She got about half way up when she felt something yank hard on her leg, tripping her. If she looked, she'd see the thing had gotten a single tentacle around her right upper leg, near the thigh, and was now reeling her in like a fish on a line.

Judging from the number of tentacles it was now trying to direct at her, it wasn't planning on killing her outright, but more like it was planning to use them on her in some way.

At the same time, she felt a sharp pain in the leg caught, and then a searing sensation as if something was being drained out of her, while at the same time an unusual wave of bliss passed through her. It was quickly clear, the damn thing was feeding off of her, both how a vampire would, and how a wraith seemed to operate. She had about five seconds left to break away, or she was going to get a lot more of those tentacles wrapped onto her.

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

Something worse! It's a-- The mental connection abruptly stops.

The abrupt stop and pull of the things tentacles likely would have knocked the wind out of her lungs if she had any need for it to begin with. The fact that she wasn't dead only helped affirm the wraith's words that the things liked human females. Nevermind the fact she wasn't human, she likely looked close enough to fit the part for its taste.

Rational thought completely fled her brain as the ecstasy of the Kiss washed over her. Given that it had been years since she'd truly felt it, it coursed through her, forcing a moan out around her gasps.

As the thing dragged her closer, though, something primal snapped in the back of her mind. Over the pleasure, she realized her body was getting weaker and if it didn't let go, she'd get drained dry.

Loose. Loose. Loose. Now! her brain seemed to cry before her body immediately dispursed into mist, causing the tentacle to fall away, perhaps causing another noise from the creature.

Her retreat actually took her through the rubble, the shortest path back to the streets that would take her back to the bunker. If it followed, well, she just hoped that didn't happen, at least not until she got back and manage to warn the others.

((Side note to Shrike, that last mental bit is more internal than projecting, but if you're trying to get into Copp's head, you might get it. I'm also thinking it's impossible to mentally contact her in mist form, since she needs to focus all her concentration on keeping herself from floating away, heh.))

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

((Since Copper doesn't have telepathy herself, Shrike kinda has to 'listen' to pick up anything anyways. And yeah you pretty much dropped off her radar when you hit mist form. I figure since a vampire's mind doesn't exist physically (brain activity is a big fat zero), then it's already hard as hell to talk to her, so remove even that tenous connection and she may as well be trying to talk to air, which is almost what she was doing anyways, hehe))

"Shit!" Shrike yelled as Copper was cut off, vaulting off the platform and sprinting out of the building. She had been itching for revenge ever since she had cut her way into the building, and now it looked like she might get her chance. Copper's mind disappeared from her senses a second later, but it didn't feel like she had 'died', just... Disappeared. This was enough to cause her pause, her blade appearing in her hand as she stood at the makeshift entrance, looking around for everyone else.

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

((Bear in mind, this is Siphon's baby and I don't know if the thing's following me or not, or how close...And I'm guessing on the Tsuki part, since they're both here but not posting.))

Traveling as quicky as she was able, Copper ghosted her way back toward the bunker. Burrito was...standing there, not moving, while Tsuki worked on him. Not good at all. Shrike was also out of the bunker, keeping her blade at the ready and looking on guard. Not wanting to spook either of them completely, she started to solidify as she got closer, the process rather slow. In fact, she still looks a little whispy, and a lot paler than normal, as she gets closer.

"I don't know if that thing's following me but do not let it get ahold of you," is the first thing out of her mouth before she slumps to a sitting position on the ground near the bunker. She looks drained and her jeans are torn up, one spot around her right thigh, the other in the calf of the same leg, that spot also looking like she's got a nasty burn there that hasn't quite healed yet. She looks to be watching in the direction she came from while fishing out the flask from her jacket pocket.

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

((It was mostly a roll call, having everyone post before assumedly a big fight would be a good thing ;) ))

"I'll keep that in mind. You look like hell, girl." Shrike tells Copper as she slumbs down near her. "Now, what exactly is it and what exactly did it do to you that you had to run so quickly?" She asks, worried. If whatever it was had done so much damage to Copper just by getting a hold of her, then she was going to have to focus on defense almost entirely just to keep herself safe.

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

She takes a pull from the flask, more sucking the contents out of it than actually drinking. "It's called a Thembikal, or something like that. The wraith made them. It sucks on you like they do and like I do. Got lots of tentacles. That's where the suckers are. It's also part bot and probably cobbled together with a corpse or two, too. The wraith I killed thought it'd do me in. Would've, if I hadn't been able to ghost away from it." She stretches out her sore leg. "Oh yeah, and the bots figured out what kind of bullets can actually hurt me. Shoot any of 'em with not automatic weapons first." She's starting to look more and more patched up, even the creature's damage healing, but in the process, she was also starting to look hungrier, and as such, took another pull off of the flask.

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

"Well hell, that sounds like a pain in the ass. Also, I don't have anything to shoot them with generally, but I'll try and put those ones out of comission first at least. You going to have enough in there?" Shrike asks, gesturing to the quickly emptying flask.

"Surpemely. And I generally don't either, but if you can take the guns away from them, then you do." She chuckles wryly. "Enough to keep me from pouncing on any of you again, provided I don't get hurt worse or need to go into hyper mode during any upcoming fights."

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

"You sure?" Shrike asks warily, still keeping an eye out in the direction Copper seemed to come from. "If you think you need some more, I'd rather give you some now when you're still in control than risk you taking it again like last time, especially since Siphon isnt around at the moment..."

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

"And I'd rather not have that thing jump us while I'm feeding." Shrike can definitely tell she's torn. Both carry risks, but one is sufficiently greater than the other. "Then, too, I don't like looking at my friends like they're lunch. Or treating them that way, for that matter."

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

"I can understand that." Shrike says, visibly anxious herself. "I guess the real question then is whether or not we think we can take this thing easily now that it's more than one-on-one, isn't it?" She asks, trusting in Copper's judgment.

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

"The wraith seemed pretty confident it'd kill me and I'm actually afraid to say that he might have been right, if I hadn't been able to ghost away. Oh wait. Old brain processes things slow. Yeah, you, me, and Tsuki it probably wouldn't want to kill. They use females to reproduce, or so the wraith said. Me, I'm not exactly sure if that would work, but I ain't taking any chances." She rubs the bridge of her nose. "I dunno if we can take this thing without hitting it hard and fast. And I got the impression there's more of them. Whether they're here or not is another story, but I'd rather not risk it." She's quiet for a moment. "I'd also rather not risk snapping in battle." She looks up at the other woman, then lets her gaze trail off in the direction where she left the thing.

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

Shrike's eyes widen in surprise. "They what?! Dear gods... So definitely don't let it get a grip on you, eh?" She says, taking a moment to consider the implications herself. After a moment, she sighs, and rolls up the leather sleeve some, offering her wrist to Copper. "Just, not too much, alright? I don't think I can afford to be lightheaded when that thing decides to wander over here..."

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

"That's what the wraith said, anyway, and looking at that thing, I'm inclined to believe him." She watches as Shrike rolls up her sleeve. "Wasn't planning on it." She picks herself up, moving a little closer to gently grip Shrike's wrist and bring it up to her lips. There's a momentary pinch as her fangs poke through the skin and what would be a heartbeat later for Shrike, she can feel the pleasure of the Kiss washing over her as Copper begins to drink.

The vampire is actually forcing herself to breathe, taking in slow, deep breaths to help keep her from taking too much, too quick, ready to pull away at a second's notice if she has to. Her other arm slides around Shrike's waist, helping to keep her steady. Just as the feeling starts to get dizzying, it begins to fade, replaced with the tickling sensation of Copper's tongue circling over the wounds on her wrist, which instantly seal back up. The vampire's looking less pale, though not fully flushed as she often does from a proper feeding. Still, she seems a bit more awake and alert.

"You all right?" she asks quietly, eyeballing the other woman. Once she is sure that she's okay, she bows her head slightly. "That's two now. I'm beginning to think I'm going to owe you for this." She grins slightly.

Re: TP forums: Aftermath

It's a good thing Copper decided to help hold her steady. Shrike swoons as the Kiss washes over her, and despite her mental preparations, she tilts her head back and lets out a long moan of pleasure. Once Copper finishes, she takes a second to collect herself, nodding to let her know she was fine. "That's almost its own reward... Tell you what, you help keep me out of that beasts' clutches, and I'll consider it blood well spent, deal?"
