@ryproar
I understand your situation. Don't worry tho, once in the game (where you control the character, you can go offline)

Oh so if I login the game then stop the game, I can start it without the internet?
That is what I am wondering tbh.
I have enough money to get the build today just want to know that bit is all. I can't really use my business's internet for... this kind of thing ya feel me?;)

Even if that's what we're after (a one-time-login) we couldn't get to it just yet, so for now you have to login every time you run the game. For now what you can do is: run the game, login, then ALT+Tab to change window (or windows key to get back to desktop) and from there turn off your internet.
Sorry for the inconvenience :/

Ah I see. I use a different computer to play the game on that is why I was asking.
Trying to keep my new cpu as squeaky clean as possible. My old one got a trojan from a steam mod and well... 2k down the drain.
Thanks for letting me know.
Edit: I know I will be paying twice as well but you guys deserve the little bit extra money for the trailer alone. I mean damn I felt like I was watching an old RE2 commercial again. LOL

Oh, I see. I understand that you want to keep a new PC as clean possible (I would do the same ^^)
No problem.

So, not quite relevant yet but do you plan for the game to require an internet connection on full release? I ask because that will put it in the online games sub and I need to know where it should go down the line.

This is really coming along, although requiring internet connections for a porn game is a dangerous gamble.

Yeah dangerous enough in fact for me to unsub quickly. You need to notify people that the login info can get grabbed if this game gets hacked into. I did not find out until I paid for the game.
I thought it was like a user name thing but using patreon info is a BAD IDEA. Trust me after I lost my credit card info on another game like this I am not going through that again. You guys need to work on that quickly bro, because if someone hacks this (Trust me they are trying to crack it now on other sites) not only will you get screwed, but everyone else too. I hope you can find a better way to do this in the future, but as it stands now I will wait until I DO NOT NEED TO BE ONLINE AT ALL.

Yeah, this should be obvious, but they don't seem to realize it is guaranteed to be cracked likely within the next two days, you cant stop people from pirating games, much less porn games. In fact, i imagine a majority will just pirate it BECAUSE of the DRM, especially with that blatant security leak. Everybody likes money, but this will net you less money in the long term, and probably in the short term too.

Normally, for these kind of things, the seller can just ignore the whole piracy and drm drama, as the people saying "REEE, IM NOT GOING TO BUY IT BECAUSE I HATE DRM" are by far your largest customer base... its a porn game after all, the kind of person who would spend money on a resident evil porn parody is probably the kind of person that knows how pirating works, and these games are largely bought out of good will. So, garnering good will is kind of important, and this is not the way to do it.

@super_slicer Nope, don't worry, the final game will be based on the public release which require no log in at all. Even now we're working on a new way to treat the unlocking without requiring any log in at all

@Ghotty @ryproar
Well I'm not that bad of a programmer as you may think. Talking about "possible" exposed private info is more like a way of talking. I also pointed on discord how it would be hackable in a locally way. There's two sides on here, the game side and the server side. Hacking the game side exposes nothing to anybody (and that's what I mentioned I don't care about, I mean, I know piracy is something you have to live with) the other side, the server one is better protected against attacks. And it should be useless to try and hack that. But even if that happens, you can only get access to a not-that-sensitive info, even less than hacking something like a forum, and that's just an email. Not even I, the admin, can get access to passwords or any other important stuff, so I can guarantee everyone that no important info can get hacked (unless they hack Patreon, but that's has nothing to do with us because that's something that can happen to everyone and that would mean hacking a platform like Patreon), apart from email (which I still consider important and thus why the warning I gave with the release).
And now as for the DRM stuff, we never thought of it as a DRM system but more like a way to work with the unlockables system placed in game. We just wanted to give special rewards for patrons nothing else. That's explained in a long post we published before the release one and that's public. I thought it shouldn't cause all this drama, mainly because the game it's FREE. That's why I don't see the point in pirating it. I mean if everyone just waited a whole long year for this version, a few more weeks it's nothing... why the rush then? :S

Anyways, I hope this kinds of "fix" the fear caused from what I said in the release post. Sorry about any troubles caused with this.

I understand but maybe put that in the public post so people won't freak out like me. I lost over 15,000 US dollars when I got my info stolen last time so yeah still gun shy.
You see your game is on F95 as well and many there are pissed off and saying this is a DRM as well. Maybe a public clarification would stop the wild fire that has erupted.
But as for me I will wait until this does not need my sensitive info to play. That and if the dogs do something a bit more interesting later on.
(PS: I hate the 3:00 timer room. TOO MANY ZOMBIES)

Edit: Oh and the email and password thing can allow people into the person's account info and card info screen. I mean it is the FULL login info. Maybe a password like a code you enter at the main screen would work. I am sorry I had to jump ship so quick but after I found out that it was my actual credentials to my Patreon account to get in I was shocked.

Don't worry, I understand you. It did happen something similar to me quite sometime ago with someone stealing me money to... buy an online pass for a game? lol at least in that time paypal refunded me the lost.
Also you're the second person that report a problem with the dogs, they should be doing the same as the rest of enemies ?
About the 3 minutes timer room. I'll work on it making it easier. Even now there were a lot more enemies in the old 0.0.3 version and yet now it's harder xD.

About the edit: as I mention, only the email can (if anything) be seen, the password it's totally secure.

I was meaning if the dogs will get any type of rape moves too or is that off the table? I have plenty of games that you can shoot zombies in and some that even allow the zombies to sex you up.
But when I saw the dogs I thought maybe they would do that too. And apparently I am not alone here if I am not the first to mention it.

Yeah, yeah, that's what I was meaning. The dogs *should* do the same as any other enemy. I mean that's programmed already... maybe a it's a bug

Yeah so far all they do is jump into you over and over again. Clothed = jump half clothed = jump naked =jump.
They only kill you and that is it. I was like damn it is RE4 all over again with the spam jumping doggos.

Not that I see if they work since I stopped my support yesterday. Now I have a useless game on my cpu.

Okay so what if I may ask what were they supposed to do? I mean besides spam jump you to death. After I stopped my pledge for the fear of the above post I can't try it anymore.
Edit: Another reason I hate this current system in effect. I can't play it even though I paid.

Well, you know, those kind of stuff Julia loves :ROFLMAO: (except for the blowjob)
And yeah, that's one of the worst downsides of it all. I didn't want that to happen, but it would have required more time, and we were forcing us to make the release this month no matter what because of the long LONG time it took since the previous one. Hopefully it won't last long on it.

Well I hope you can fix it that was one of the main selling points for me and it being bugged bums me out. I will redo my pledge later on and hopefully the dogs will get to bury their bones then. ;)

My question is why even bother with DRM at all? Deterring pirates or in this case "non-patreons" is not good pr. Check out Future Fragments or Crisis point, they embraced the pirates and they got more patrons because people (the pirates) were interested in the game. And this interest came because of the more finished patron versions. I know that you went crazy after someone leaked a patreon version on f95, but really dude, DRM is pretty shitty, especially for a disposable alpha build.

Protecting your product is your own right , but the decision to implement DRM just because more people on f95 or here, or anywhere else in this situation will download and play the patreon version is pretty shitty. I already know of someone who's trying to crack the Fox patreon release, and it's probably gonna be out before the public version hits release date.

Don't waste your time trying to protect disposable versions, spend more time implementing stuff like you showed us in the trailer (Which is fucking hot btw). Taking feedback from everyone (including pirates) will help you squash more bugs. And I know there's entitled people that complaing even about a pirated version, how shitty it is and so on, but you can always ignore those.

Anyways, good luck and I'll be eagerly awaiting a public release :)
