neat little game would have been better if it was with the zombies, I don't know what they were going for with the soldiers? only thing I see wrong is there is no sex sounds? unless its just me?

Yeah the game is silent, which I don't think is that unusual. It doesn't seem every game developer wants to find the same voice clips others use, or find someone to, ah... "provide" them.

So, aside from the topic of Hex editors and back to the original topic, is this a jap game with eng subs, or is it a case where if we dont know how to speak jap then we're screwed?

I don't think you need to read anything to play it. Just do the stages, shoot people, don't get shot yourself, etc. etc.
It's actually a pretty good game, but the actual H content I'd only say is mediocre, due to the lack of any SFX at all for them, and the lack of actual climaxing.
Also, for whatever reason, even if you Game Over in Stage 6, you get the ending video anyway?

Generally straightforward enough, somewhat. Maybe on the subject on what some of the unlockable rings do, I know one of them doubles firing rate and one of them also doubles the amount of money you get.
Besides that, everything is unlocked through currency, which you simply get by killing soldiers and either shooting the coins or picking them up yourself. The menus themselves are in simple english but the descriptions for the stuff in the shop you can buy(most of them being cosmetic) are in Japanese.There's at least simple icons there to make it apparent what you're buying(if it has an icon of a shirt, it's obviously a top.) It's probably best to rush some of the guns first, just for the sake of making grinding for money easier.

Nay, but the 'mosa' string in the zombie game's EXE comes right after a series of body parts' names ('head', 'body', 'bottom' and 'foot' &c.).
So I just looked for 'bottom', and vóila - although there are slightly different terms in the second game's EXE, there is a 'mo' string, too. I tried changing that one, and it works: The mosaic in the game is gone.
Unfortunately, all the penises are just black bars then, so you have to decide for yourself if that is worth it ...
To visualise what I am rambling about: On the left is 'Game' (the second game's EXE), on the right 'VLCD' (the zombie one's).

Someone needs to take away your search and replace priveleges. You've caused a fair bit of collateral damage.
"MO_" changed to "??_"
"godemo" changed to "gode??"
A couple of random bytes in the middle of nowhere that just happen to spell out "MO" have also been changed, which could cause absolutely anything to happen depending on what that data is supposed to do.

Also, in the process of doing this I discovered that it's important to change the 'mo' string to something obscure (e.g. an unprintable character like hex 01). On my first attempt I changed it to 'm_', and the game censored her arms because their internal names are along the lines of 'upperarm_L'.
