Scientists have found and confirmed a planet that can be classified as "habitable". Only 2x gravity, CO2 atmosphere (so plants can grow), and mildly uncomfortable, only 20 light years away. While it's not like we can get up and go there now, being a really big fan of space exploration I'm excited nonetheless.

Possibily. They don't know if there's liquid water, but there's a good chance of it, which means microbes. I don't think they said it has oxygen (yet
) so nothing like our animals though.

Well all I have is the gravity figure, which is a combo of size and density, and it is roughly 2x that of Earth. Also, it orbits a red dwarf, which means the light on the surface will be focused in other parts of the spectrum (red, obviously), and thus the one thing I could say for sure is that plants sure as hell won't be green.
And of course the plants wouldn't be direct relatives. There may be analouges, but the genetic code would be 100% alien.

Crud. I still hope to find a beautiful, colorful world which won't be completely ruined by industry. My love for nature knows no bounds and to be able to visit such a place would be my Heaven. I do not wish to die on a planet such as the one I live on now. To do so would make me feel so shameful, that we disgraced a beautiful place such as this.

I feel the same way too sometimes. But still, there's soooo many beautiful place all around us. You could just take a drive and check them out instead of squeezing into a space capsule. Check it out! At least one of these is taken by yours truly.

Nice pictures Ranger. Quite pretty.
In my own explorations I've seen some rather beautiful places in the world. PEI, the New Mexican desert has its own sort of beauty, parts of Cyprus, parts of Afghanistan, spots across Ontario, France, Belgium... you can find it if ye look.

You're in luck Aura! That scene is from a place that's not that far from you. It's in Eastern Switzerland not too far from the border with Liechtenstein. The big mountain on the left is Mittlerspitz and I think the lights come from Trübbach, Switzerland. I got that photo from

Yep. The others I either found on the internet or friends showed them to me. The one with the waterfalls was my desktop background for about two years. And some of them are from places where my friends live so I like to look at it. ^_^

A friend of mine who lives in Croatia once showed me a picture of a very beautiful waterfall (I think, it was something similar at least) located there, the name and exact location eludes me however, have to ask him about it when he wakes up so I can post said picture.
Edit: Can't find the exact picture, though it might have been Plitvice, one of the many national parks. If not it may be the Krk Falls, part of the Krk river.
Croatia apprently also have the highest number of national parks. My friend also mentioned the Falls are very beautiful during winter were parts of it is frozen.
Best part is, I'll be visiting him sometime during the summer, or maybe even during winter.

The way it's produced is just plain random... Hectic to Beautifully drawn to cheesy monster movie? But I must ask. Are there really only 13 episodes?
