Umbral shrugs. "I can't see how he'd be able to help with that...He seems to have been designed for the purpose of using an adaptive armor system too complex for any biological life-form to handle."

Umbral stands looking at Zachery for a bit, then shrugs again before wandering out.

"Alright, I'm back, and feeling better..." she said as she plodded into the room, a slight smile on her face.

"Was just looking for you." she said, "Now what are we doing here, i was a little bit out of it when we discussed it last time."

"We need to get direct access to Zachery's internal memory core. Given his appearance, I'm going to guess that it's located in his head. I've got the tools to handle the mechanical end, but his skin appears to be a synthetic, probably not to dissimilar to what's on certain types of cybernetic replacements. Since there aren't any manner of access ports, I'm guessing that we're going to need to do some surgery. That's the part I was asking for your help with."

"So I need to pull the skin off, so you can open up his head?" she chuckled, "No problem." And went to prep. "You should probably wash up too. I don't know what germs could do to him."

Umbral nods, then looks over at Vance. "If you don't mind, I'd like you to help by using the scanner I brought, and keeping an eye for any sudden spikes. There shouldn't be, but we don't really know what all is going on right now."

She nodded and pulled on her gloves, and grabbed a sterilized scalpel. "We want to open up the back of his head right?" she asked as she set the scapel down, ready to move the android if she had to.

"Sooo.........If anything suddenly changes, I should tell you right away?" Vance says, scratching the back of his head "I'm not really a technology person." he says, chuckling nervously

Umbral nodded. "Maybe, but you did correctly guess what I was asking."

After a moment, he added some more. "I do recall hearing about some attempts, quite some time back, to create something akin to what Zachery is...If my memory is correct, for those, the memory core access was located in the forehead area..."

"Forehead, gotcha." she picked up her scalpel and took a breath before making an incision around the android's hairline, and just above the brows.

The scapel didn't run across any unprotected stuff, and it was most likely one of the cleaniest incisions that Krysta had made...Probably due in part to the lack of blood.

Krysta grinned, "Well, that went well." she grabbed a pair of tweezers and started to pull the skin off.

Once the skin was pulled back, Umbral stepped forward, and connected his datapad. A few moments passed, then he frowned and put in a command. This happened a couple more times, before he snarled, "Access denied, access denied...Don't you know how to say anything else?"

"You could try kicking it. That's how I get my ship to work." Vance says jokingly, still observing the data pad and sighing as he takes a quick glance over at the operation

"Not going to help. The data's encrypted," Umbral responded, then muttered something. He put in a different command, waited a while, and then unplugged the pad. "Fortunately, the encryption was the only security, so I was able to copy the data. I suspect that the best course now would be to simply seal everything back up, and wait while we figure out what I've gotten."

"Well, can't the mistman break the encryption?" she said as she positioned the skin, and started stitching back up.

She grinned as she tied off the stitch, "Good as new, now I wonder if he has a healing program. This synthetic skin is very interesting."

"Interesting indeed. If only I could replace my skin with something that didn't feel pain." Vance mutters to no one in particular "I just hope we can figure out what these spore thingies are."
