"Frak" is a nice quirk to have picked up from TV. XD You can 'swear' as much as you want and it still makes as much sense as the original, but it comes from an awesome TV show instead of an archaic word for sperm! :D

Right as if it's possible to somehow insult a Cajun.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

*high five!* For ultimate nerdly win, pick up the BSG board game. XD I don't usually play 'em, but some school friends and I got together to play a game and watch the newest episode while the show was still running and it's pretty frakkin (frackin, whatever!) awesome. Being a cylon is the best. >:3

Yeah, I can't think of any Cajun insults as in plays on words... I'm trying, but my brain has the dumb!

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I would even go so far as to risk insult to our lovely dear moderator and saw BSG is better than firefly...

This is simply my opinion Shrike don't eat me.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Technically speaking Cajun is an insult, cajun is to acadian as injun is to indian or you could call us coonasses. However because of our Laissez les bons temps rouler attitude you'd have as much luck trying to insult a polar bear.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I haven't even watched Firefly.

Now... I don't want to. XD

*embarrassed* I only recognize Laissez and bons temps from that fragment. D: Does that make me a bad Canajian?

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Well those stuck up Quebecois and Parisites would say Laissez rouler les bons temps. If that doesn't help it means let the good times roll.

Don't get me wrong Wallpaper, firefly is still a damn good series... just, the scope and hard set scenario of BSG is more up my alley.

If you haven't seen Firefly, go do it. Right now, rent the series or something.

That being said...

*noms Sin, but only a little*

Mmm, kinda salty, but good :3

I like BSG as well, I haven't seen much of it though, it's on my to-do list :)

They're both good, I prefer Firefly slightly because I like the old west though.

Massive catch-up!

But... Canadian accents are so similar to American ones... wouldn't that be the easiest to type?
I use 'eh' all the time. I love it.

Fuck and eh are the basis of my vocabulary.
I have heard the "eh" and "aboot" from the Canadians we get in the store, but drawing attention to the "accent" tends to tick them off. And those two words make a fine sentence when put together, Sin. Glad they work well for you.

I'm sort of the same way, but I draw expressions and stuff from books or movies, one of my favourite ones is 'shiny', which I can use for almost anything ;)

Having just seen Wolverine pretty much twice in a row, I hear something else with "ooh, shiny." I also tend to use "Crow" a lot and my cousin, who is a BSG nerd uses "frak" constantly.

Got that for said above-mentioned cousin. That thing looks more complicated than Arkham, but we promised we'd give it a go with her one of these days.

If I'd have known Vincent would spark this sort of discussion, I'd never done it *laughs* Oh, and frankly, Ah think the accent that Ah tend ta type the best is the one one that Ah adopted for mah one cowboy character, J.W. (pronounced dubbyah, of course.) Since Ah haven't heard him in a while, it seems a little more Southern ta me, but if'in Ah go back and read his stories, Ah'm sure Ah'd pick it up again soon enough. Ah do miss mah cowboy and his clan.

Hm. I just remembered that Mist can apparently turn into - well, mist. That's what, Protean level 5? Gonna take me a while to be able to catch up with her.

Looks complicated when you start, but it basically broils down to 'move your character, take an action, draw a crisis' repeat. It's very much like poker when you get down to it. >:D

Hahahahahahaha XD;;

Yeah, Luna does give off the former "gothic girl" feeling with the way she's basically abandoned her humanity already... That is, until you find out that she's armed to the teeth far beyond what's legal...
