Re: G Building

"Well, uh, all the members of my family are even better than me though they don't like to exhibit most of their work so you'd probably never see them in any art shows. So I still need to improve," Isabella says quietly as she rifles around her bag. "Here, it's not what I work on most of the time, but it's some of my non-portrait work." If they were to flick through the sketchbook they'd see various pieces of work depicting strange and obscure creatures, surreal, twisting landscapes and other macabre works.

As Isabella hands them her sketchbook she picks up Grace's own work and looks over it. "This is really good, I really like the way the colours blend together as it phases from the day half to the night half. It looks as if it's some kind of gateway between the two. To be honest, I wish I wasn't as good as I am. That way I'd be able to learn from mistakes in my work. Since the first time I picked up a pencil I have never made an error when it comes to proportions or lighting or anything."

Re: G Building

"Hmm... shame we can't see it." Grace replies as Leo talks about his own designs. "I once lived in Italy for a few months actually. Quite a while back. My family travels a lot for work reasons, so I've been dragged to all sorts of places. Never really get to see much of any of them though."

As Isabella talks about her family a look comes across Grace's face that suggests she's no stranger to family pressure and expectations herself. "Oh, so it runs in the family. Can be tough when your expected to match a grade like that huh?"

"Hmm...?" As she pulls out the new sketchbook Grace eagerly takes it and opens it up, only pausing to set it in the centre of the table when she realises Leo might like to see it too. She looks over the various imaginative images with a new kind of fascination. This was what Grace really wanted to see. The portraits were impressive, but these more creative pieces were genuinely interesting to her.

"Don't-a worry. Not many people see my works, outside of my parents, and The Family." Leo says, putting a little extra emphasis on the last two words. As he looked over what he could see of the sketches, he smiles, then looks up at Isa "They're quite impressive. Almost as impressive as Mr. Van Gogh's works." he says, chuckling as he looks over at Grace "Maybe you should visit me in Italy some time. It's a beautiful country. I'll make sure to show you my work." he says with a warm smile on his face

Re: G Building

"I, uh, I, I...Thanks.." She stammers, embarressed by all the compliments she was recieving. "I uh...I think I'll make a start on my homework now. Um..see you two later.." Isabella says as she gets up and leaves, completely forgetting about the sketchbook she had taken out.

As she made her way out of the G Building she overheard several students talking about a rumoured hotsprings in the mountains. Curious about it Isabella decides to take a detour up there first, hoping that the view as well as the hotsprings itself is worth it.

Re: G Building

"Hmm. Visit Italy huh? I'm sure it'd be fun, but I'm not sure how I'd get round persuading my parents to let me just travel around like that. But you never know." Grace says, curious about the idea of going somewhere of her own choice, but a little doubtful of the chances. She wondered at the same time of what Leo would make of the Vasser estate gardens. Sadly the likely hood of that happening was near zero as far as she could see. She didn't even know where her family home was right now. It was such a bother.

"Oh, all right. See you latter then." Grace says looking up with a wave. "Homework is such a bother. The name doesn't even make sense here either..." She mummers going back to looking at the sketchbook. It takes a few seconds before she realises that shouldn't still be possible. "Oh! Isabella forgot her... and she's already gone." She exclaims almost getting up. "Oh well, I can return it to her latter."

((Note for Burrito - I'm going to make a post for Grace in her room thread, but feel free to have Leo reply to this still, if you wish to do so. I doubt Grace will be leaving her room til this scenario occurs, so it shouldn't hurt to do a little time warp posting here.))

Re: G Building

Yume enters the cafeteria, looking healthy and none the worse for wear after her ordeal. She strolls over to the counter and picks out a fairly sizeable lunch, with a good mix of food types, apparently having built up quite an appetite. With the room being rather empty still, she simply takes an unoccupied table and sits down to dig in.

Re: G Building

Jonathan entered the cafeteria. He seemed to be bored out of his wits, though that was only an impression. He rarely showed any signs of excitement. Bird picked a rather large lunch for himself, then moved to a seat not far away from Yume. He really liked lunchtime. Not only it was a nice break in the middle of sometimes difficult classes. Jonathan had a ravenous appetite, even though he seemed to be rather slim. As soon as he sat down, he started to eat, going through food like a lawnmower.

Re: G Building

Sitting at a table in the middle of the cafeteria is a black haired girl in a pleated miniskirt, boots and the school standard shirt and tie eating her meal whilst listening to some music, though her expression would make anyone looking at her assume she's been having a bad day, or at least just in a bad mood.

Shortly though a gang of students, mostly boys, carrying their trays of food come up to the table the girl is sitting at. One of them steps forward, a rather large and intimidating boy and taps her on the shoulder.

"Oi, I believe you're at our table. Run along or I'll give you another reason to be scowling," Several of the other boys laugh at the threat their 'leader' had made at the girl.

"Try it," The girl mutters quietly enough for only the group to hear. The boys then start to call out to their leader as well as mocking the girl.

"What was that?" The boy looks outraged as the girl dared to challenge his 'authority'. Stepping to the side of her he slides his hand under her food tray and flips it forward. The tray, and its contents fly over the edge of the table and spill onto the floor. The other boys laugh as their leader stands up. "Now what are you going to do, pintsize?" The boy smirks at her, content in the knowledge that the little girl wouldn't be able to do a thing and run off crying.

How wrong he was. In the blink of an eye the girls elbow connects with the boys crotch, he lets out a cry of pain as he doubles over though the next second he is sent flying onto his back as she brings her fist up into his noise just as fast as her first attack. The sound of his noise breaking can be heard as she literally leaps off her chair and mounts his stomach, her fist ready to punch him in his blood streaked face again.

"Didn't think a girl could do that, jerkwad?" She growls at him as he cowers behind his hands, his friends pointing and laughing at him. She sits there for a moment longer before leaping up off him and dusting herself down. "Tsk, you're not worth it. Besides Art would've stopped me if he were still here." She grumbles loud enough for any who were eavesdropping could hear. She then makes her way out of the cafeteria, not caring if she bumps into anyone along the way.

Re: G Building

'Ho boy. That was fun.' At first, Jonathan didn't notice anything unusual happening, but the sound of a food tray hitting the floor couldn't be mistaken with anything else. He frowned when he realized how the situation looked. A bunch of retarded jocks against one girl? Hardly a fair matchup. However, before Bird could even rise from his seat, something totally unexptected happened.

Jonathan wasn't a bad fighter. He was prone to getting into trouble, though. His sometimes nasty personality and tendency to smartmouth people he disliked wasn't something that earned him friends among those with big ego. However, Bird was pretty damn sure that this girl, whoever she was, could tear him apart with ease. 'Well, this one might be interesting.' Still, he couldn't help but smile as she beat the one bullying her into the floor.

Jonathan quickly finished his meal and stood up. Leaving the tray on the table, he followed the girl. He usually knew better than to invite trouble, but he was quite interested. Where did she learn to fight like that? Could she have a special ability, like some of the other students here? And who was that Art she spoke of? Perhaps investigating a little wouldn't hurt. As he left the cafeteria, Bird started to walk a little faster to catch up with the girl.

Re: G Building

Ian entered the cafeteria much after the show, but did manage to pass the injured party being escorted from the room by his compatriots.

Looks like I missed the party. He shook his head and headed for the line, his attention more on the students around the tables, looking for one or two girls in particular and admittedly a little relieved that he hasn't come across either of them. He'd been running the conversation over and over in his head and he still didn't know what to tell Aya and Sho outside of "Here, read this" and handing them Siphon's note. Maybe that was probably the best thing to do overall.

Once he was through the queue, he did notice Yume sitting at one of the tables. Up and around was a good thing. Maybe he'd head over and see how she was doing before he went outside looking for Sho. If she wasn't in the building, somewhere outdoors was usually the next best thing.

Passing by Yume's table, tray in hand, he inclined his head to her. "Yer lookin' bettah," he said with one of his usual, casual smiles.

Re: G Building

Yume's eating slowed at the crashing sound of Emily's lunch, looking up to watch the scene while poking for her food blindly. A crowd of self important guys standing round a girl much smaller than themselves. It kinda seemed familiar, though she couldn't think of why. While she was a little concerned, as she watched the outcome, somehow she wasn't surprised by the result. Again it just seemed familiar. Perhaps before she lost her memory she had been a hardcore martial artist that beat down bullies, Yume thinks jokingly to herself. No. That didn't seem right.

With the girl and then the others leaving the room, Yume goes back to her food, nearly done by the time Ian came by. "Oh hello again. Thanks. I feel better now I've had something to eat. Was starving." She says smiling back, not quite realising the truth of her words. Blood replaced by magic wasn't quite the same thing as blood replaced naturally.

"Nothin' like a good meal ta make ya feel right as rain." He smiled again. "Though Ah'm glad ta see and hear yer feelin' bettah. Any notion what that was all about?" He inclines his head in the direction of the fight. "Or should Ah just not ask, as usual?"

Re: G Building

"Oh, some guys came and crowded round this girl. Very young one. Were giving her hassle and flipped her lunch. Then she floored one of them and left." Yume says finishing and scraping the last forkful of food up. "Didn't know any of them. Though the girl looked ready to take on the rest of them too." She says putting in her fork and looking back up to Ian.

"Yeah, none of 'em looked all that familiar to me, eithah. Must be undah-classmen. All of 'em look alike ta me now and again." He chuckled. Indicating one of the chairs, he set his tray on the table. "Mind if Ah join ya? Ah mean, don't think ya have ta stay on my account," he glanced to her empty plate, "but seems far easier than huntin' up a another table." The notion of a last supper flashed through his mind. He wasn't stalling. Never crossed his mind, no.

"Nah, sure you can. I was thinking about getting one of the deserts today anyway. Gotta wait till they put them out." She says pushing her plate to one side to make elbow space.

Re: G Building

"Thanks." He slid into one of the chairs and set his tray down, giving her a smile before he started picking at his food. Yume might notice him pausing now and again to reach into his jacket pocket for a second or so, letting out a sigh, and usually followed by a glance around the room. He usually doesn't eat for a moment or two after that and then suddenly seems to remember that he has food, putting his attention back on that.

Shaking his head, he seems to want a distraction. "So, what kinda goodies they puttin' out t'day? Somethin' ya like, obviously."

Sho finally filtered in to the cafeteria, near the end of the period. She wanted to hurry up and get back outside, her nerves today just not setting well with the notion of her being indoors for long, but hunger won out eventually. Making her way through the queue, she snags up things she can take out with her and not have to worry about bringing dishes back in. Given that she was trying to be quick about it, that of course meant she was behind the slowest, pickiest person she could possibly find. A ripple of air stirred her clothes, though seemed pretty well contained to her person, at least for now.

Re: G Building

"They're doing raspberry cheesecake again today. I knew I'd like it the moment I saw it when they served some last week." She says light heartedly, turning round to peer briefly at the kitchen staff as she finishes speaking. Not yet. She notices though how Ian seemed a little distracted, and leans down resting her head on both elbows to speak, "Hmm, something on your mind?"

Re: G Building

"Mmm, Ah'll snag an extre for you then, if ya want it. Not mah fave'rit." He seems to be smiling, though, as he's watching her, that seeming to relax him a little. At her question, his shoulders slump a little. "Ah've got ta deliver some bad news ta a coupla friends. Ah'm not lookin' forward to it." He manages a crooked smile.

Said friend, even if Yume doesn't know it, is finally through the line and retreating as fast as she can toward the door. She skirts around the tables and people in her way and hurries out as quickly as she can, there literally being something of a jetstream in her wake, blowing around loose napkins and snapping a little at clothing.

The few exclaimations at that seem to get Ian's attention and he turns in time to see the aftermath. "Ahh, hell," he mutters under his breath. "Afraid Ah may have ta rain check that cake for ya, darlin'. Gotta go try and not get shot." He pushes himself away from the table and gathers up his tray. Yume's too, if she'd like. "Maybe if Ah can make it back heah in one piece, Ah'll be able ta make good on mah promise." He inclines his head and begins making his way to the door.

Re: G Building

"Oh I see. Can't be easy." She says sympathetically, allowing Ian to pick up her tray. "I'm sure you'll be fine. Just got to hope they don't take the news too badly hmm? But ok, and good luck then." Yume sits back in her chair again, and watches as Ian leaves for a moment, then laying down her arms on the table and resting her head on them. She looks off sideways, glancing at her bag beside her with her doll Monday just visible sitting within. 'It's noisy in here, but simple. People most often only talk about their deeper feelings at night...' She thinks in a sleepy calmness to herself, not really understanding her thought, nor much bothered by what it meant.

At the very moment Sho had reached the door to exit, Grace was entering with an equal amount of hurriedness. She comes close to barging into Sho, but with an avoidance effort from each, she manages to deftly spin out of the way, muttering a quick, "Aa! Sorry..." as she does so. The strange airflow however peaks as it hits the door like a tunnel, and Grace quickly whips her hands down to catch her skirt as it miraculously whips up. "Yaa!? What the..." Grace looks up, aware that a few people in the room had seemed to look round at that precise moment, hoping she had caught it in time but not entirely certain. 'The hell was that...?' she thinks, noting that the sudden gust had passed and seemed fully localised on the door somehow.

Re: G Building

"Ah've a feelin' we'll know how they feel about it one way or another," he chuckles in parting, given what Sho can do when she's angry and Lord help him if he had to have this conversation with Aya. He'd been burned before. It wasn't pleasant.

Sho spins sideways, likely avoiding Grace with equal deftness, calling back a "Sorry!" at the same time. She walks backward a few steps, noting Grace's actions and suddenly realizing what she's doing. The strange breeze suddenly dies down and she retreats for the courtyard, intent on catching a few more moments of peace.

Getting closer to the door, Ian catches sight of what's going on in Sho's wake, particularly Grace's skirt. Dropping his gaze to the floor, he scratches his cheek as he passes by her with a quiet "Excuse me." Now if he could only catch up with the literal little whirlwind, he'd be fine.
