Halloween Music.

I'm trying to get so different ideas for Halloween music. It's a few months away, but still I believe now is a good time to get prepared.

So what is some good Halloween music? Stuff that is scary, spooky and isn't just ambiance stuff.

Here's what I have so far:

1. Beetlejuice Main Theme - Danny Elfman
2. Tales From the Crypt Main Theme - Danny Elfman
3. This Is Halloween - Danny Elfman
4. Terrarium of Terror [Day] - Robin Beanland, Grant Kirkhope and Dave Clynick

Red Right Hand - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

When You're Evil- Voltaire

Re: Halloween Music.

Some other of Voltaire's stuff might be appropriate; The Night is a nice one, and Vampire Club is also nice but it might be a little upbeat for what you're planning. BRAINS might also work. Other than that, not sure; my music is really niche so I can't really recommend very much to you.

Re: Halloween Music.

Depends on the mood you want to set, too. Pretty much anything by Voltaire is good. Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe album is fun, if a bit...harsh. Living Dead Girl and Dragula are my two favorites. You already mentioned Elfman. I'd also recommend the Nightmare on Elm St. soundtrack and the soundtrack to American McGee's Alice (that one does tend to have dialogue in it here or there, but it's a warped and twisted Alice in Wonderland, so maybe not all bad.) If you can find it, Music from the Succubus Club, which is Vampire the Masquerade's "soundtrack." Not wholly Halloweenish but rather gothy. Maybe the Cruxshadows and Within Temptation if you want a more gypsyish, goth kind of mildly industrial epic Evanescence like sound. And that made me think of the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack. Could go old school and do Weber or could go with the newer version, too.

That's all right off the top of my head.

And if you want fun, find "Zombie Jamboree" by Rockapella and "Dead Man's party" by Oingo Boingo.

Re: Halloween Music.

The Halloween theme is nice. Also, "This is Halloween" by Marilyn Manson. I like that version more than the original.

And by Halloween theme, I mean from the movie.

Re: Halloween Music.

I must say I'm not a very good judge of music at all, the only thing I can think of recommending is the 4400 opening theme, and that's not really very 'Halloween'y.

Re: Halloween Music.

Well, the music yes, the lyrics no.

Re: Halloween Music.

Yeah, I know. I just couldn't resist posting that. It's one of my favorite videos. Pretty clever, if you ask me. I like the Jaws one, too.

A Little Piece of Heaven - Avenged Sevenfold

Granted, the title doesnt sound it but believe me, a song about a guy butchering his girlfriend then fucking her only for her to come back and possess her corpse and kill him only for him to come back and them getting married and killing everyone is kinda suited for halloween.

Re: Halloween Music.

What the hell is that lyricist on and where can I get some?

Re: Halloween Music.

Here's the song

Re: Halloween Music.

Not five seconds in, I had to stop and come back and comment. The "related videos" on the side caught my attention with the FFX-2 characters staring in it. Lovely!

And I'm really trying to place the melody. That sounds familiar...why, I don't know, but it does.

It's reminds me quite a bit of a Nightmare Before Christmas song with swearing and FUCKED UP lyrics.

Re: Halloween Music.

Try looking up the band, 'Nox Arcana'. The three songs of theirs are more Ambiant than anything, but some of their others might have words to them ;)

Re: Halloween Music.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned the theme from The Exorcist. Called "Tubular Bells"

Organ Toccata in D Minor -
Tubular Bells -
Dracula Main Theme -
Poltergeist Theme -
Twilight Zone theme -
