Re: Peltas Five Space Station (Milky Way Galaxy)

Veda walked in at a good pace, minus her armour for the moment. Her ship had docked a few minutes ago, and she had came straight here after finding a schematic of the station. "Sorry I'm late, the ruins I came from were a lot bigger than I expected. Honeycombed through pretty much an entire moon, though I still wasn't able to reach some sections." She says in a clipped tone, rushing through the explanation as she took an empty seat. "Have I missed anything?"

Re: Peltas Five Space Station (Milky Way Galaxy)

((Far as I know, Bartnum is the only one missing now, so moving onward. He'll arrive fashionably late as always, but never out of style))

Siphon shook his head.

"Nope, though Talok will be quite late. He came across a planet with Chozo ruins two days ago, said he was investigating them because he'd detected faint energy readings coming from the surface."

He paused til everyone was seated, then began. "Alright, to bring you all up to speed. I've gotten word from Vanessa and her people that the Draque appear to have ships in the galaxy again, and not Sivok's band either. What's more, Enoly ships have been spotted, and four planets have gone silent in the last twelve hours. So somehow they have managed to get past the blockaded space gate and into the galaxy. Sivok may have been right, they may have gated in to another planet and built ships in our galaxy."

"The Sangraal isn't completed yet either, so we still have to hold back their forces. First though, we have to find them. With me so far?"

Toryn nodded, although a slight cringe appeared briefly on his face. "Yeah...That doesn't sound too good. Four planets in twelve hours...They've got to have something on this side...But even if they have a shipyard, they'd still need to move the troops in, right?"

Siphon nodded. "Unless they have a working cloning facility in the galaxy as well, which gives them an unlimited number."

Toryn groaned again...and not from his headaches, this time.

"Cloning technology. Meaning my plan is, how do you humans say? 'Out the window?'" Ixack broadcasts to the entire room, clearly angry as he shifts from one leg to the other

Veda shook her head a little. "Not necessarily, a gate can be held open indefinitely, right? If that's the case, it would be faster to walk them through four abreast than to clone them here. Heck, they probably can't build the ships fast enough to keep up with that. If that were the case though, can't we start trying to connect to every gate and see which was busy, to figure out where they're coming from?"

Siphon shook his head. "You can only hold a wormhole open indefinitely if you have a large enough power supply, such as a black hole or an unlimited number of Z.P.M's, otherwise it can only be maintained thirty eight minutes. It's possible they've upgraded their hyper-drives though."

"I highly doubt that their hyper-drives can outperform the Alverans or my people. But still, the question remains: What can we do? We can't rush in there without sufficient information. I could slip in and provide intelligence if we can locate their facility." Ixack broadcasts, his eyes looking upon Siphon

Re: Peltas Five Space Station (Milky Way Galaxy)

Sho followed Siphon into the meeting room, the other with the ears trailing behind the two of them. For the time being, she took a seat out of the way, just content to listen and get brought up to speed. Siphon had filled her in on a few things but she was nowhere near as knowledgeable as the others that had been dealing with this situation longer.

Already there was a guy that didn't look too hot. From the grimace on his face, some Excedrin was in order, or a least a quiet room and something over his eyes. Not shortly after, they were joined by a woman in, given her words, what might have been flight gear, but it didn't exactly look right for that. Siphon glanced at the door, as though waiting for someone else, but with a shrug, began addressing those already present, elaborating on the news he'd already mentioned to her, illiciting various not-happy responses from around the room. She starts a little at the mental conversation, having grown used to Siphon being in her head now and again, but being on the receiving end of someone else is still a relatively new experience. Given that she doesn't have much information to add at the moment, she remains quiet, letting them formulate plans or discuss tactics.

Re: Peltas Five Space Station (Milky Way Galaxy)

"That's the key, IF we can locate their facilities. Given the number reported, they've probably had them active under our noses for at least a month. Sivok has proposed we attempt to capture one of their ships intact. I'm for that IF we can figure out how to do that without casualties on our end. Any suggestions there?"

Toryn thought for a moment, then spoke up. "Don't know about taking control of it from the crew...But one of the ship designs in the yard's database is something for totally immobilizing a ship, including cutting off engines. May need more than one to do it, depending on size. And we'll need a way to crack whatever encryption they've got, but I've got an idea on that."

"If we could immobilize one, Sivok might be able to download the contents of their data core and get us the coordinates. Then we could destroy the ship and leave no way for them to warn their people."

He was cut off by one of the station personnel entering. "Excuse me sir, but you have an incoming message from Talok. He says he needs to speak with both you and Veda immediately, something to do with that Chozo outpost he found."

Siphon paused, a bit surprised. "Well ... Veda, feel up to heading over a room and finding out what he wants? The rest of you folks might want to continue on ideas, but that's a great start Toryn."

"Don't you people have beaming technology? If you do, and you could find a way to beam me in stealthily, I could move through the ship and gather intelligence, as well as download the data." Ixack broadcasts to the room, stepping forward from his lean and standing on both legs "I can always just wreak havoc aboard the ship until everyone onboard is dead." he says, more comical in his tone

"I have some good decryption programs, they were made to analyze and translate new languages originally, but I've found they do a good job on security systems as well." Veda points out before Siphon was relayed the message. "If it's about the Chozo, I'm more than willing to listen." She says with a smile, getting up and following him out.

Leading her into the next room, they sit down and he places Talok on the screen.

"Talk to us Talok, what's going on?"

The image panned to show Talok, though he was moving.

"I've been conducting scans since I picked up a slight energy reading coming from somewhere inside the outpost, and I came across something a bit unusual. It's old, very old."

The image moved once more to show a stasis pod, the outline of a humanoid figure inside of it, frozen.

"As far as I can tell from my readings, this pod is still active, and whoever is inside .... is still alive."

Siphon was floored by this. A stasis pod still being powered inside a Chozo facility? "Veda, have you ever encountered a pod working like this in your adventures through their ruins?"

Re: Peltas Five Space Station (Milky Way Galaxy)

Toryn made a gesture as if he would have been saying 'exactly' when Veda mentioned her equipment. Seems he'd either remembered an earlier discussion they'd had, or had made an educated guess. When Ixack made his suggestion, Toryn shrugged, but paused to take another deep breath before responding. "The trick with beaming tech is that a number of factors can hamper a safe transport...The most common interference in this kind of scenario is shielding. Even something as seemingly insignificant as local ionic patterns can cause problems. Granted, I'm not an expert on every kind of transporter system, so maybe that idea needs to wait until some of the others can put their knowledge into the mix before a definite answer is given."

Veda stared straight at the image of the pod, obviously surprised. "I've seen a few that could theoretically work, but none of them were actually active. Move the view closer, or send some scans over." She said slowly, moving closer to the image herself as well.

"Technology?" Ixack broadcasts, his hairless eyebrows raised "Your beaming technology is similar to my Warp technology. Only, the generators either have to bring an object to them, or move themselves, the range of that being relevant to the power source. Which is why I suggested your technology." he broadcasts, crossing his arms and looking over at Toryn "I'm only theorizing how we can do this and not incur casualties."

Talok obliged, sending the few readings he had gotten off of it to her, unfortunately they wouldn't divulge much.

Moving closer however brought up several symbols on the pod. Veda might not recognize them, but Siphon stared for a few moments, his mouth moving, but no words coming out.

After a good minute of looking at it, mouth processing something that he wasn't saying out loud, his body tensed, his face turning whiter than a ghost. He barely managed to choke out the words, "dear gods..."
