I think the confusion lies in Lurker's "True enough, but..." part.

Which is usually used when agreeing with what the other person said, but still having a differing opinion because of whatever.

What I get out of what Lurker said, is that he thinks anyone who only relies on those things rather than using a medic or at least dispenser is fucking stupid, but he doesn't hate self-heals like the guy who made the video.

Personally, I never use the self-heal weapons.
Of course, that's more because I don't have them...
Still, even if I did, I doubt I'd pick them for the most part.
There are just so many other weapons that are better than most of them.

Of course, that's just what I'm getting out of it.

What I meant was what most of ya later gathered: The self-heal items are decent, but unless A. ya really know how to use em, or B. There is no Engineer orMedic on your team, you really should not rely on them for your main source of healing. Personally, I use Sandvich on heavy (who doesn't, considering the only other non-food item for a minigun carrier is one of the shotguns), but I would rather have a medic buddy on me then have to 'taunt' for a few seconds, at which point everyone can go point thier guns at me easier.

In a granary match and a badwater match, I remember one time this guy pulled out his Equalizer.... WHEN THE MEDIC WAS TRYING TO HEAL HIM. In the Badwater match in particular, he was getting ubered and he fired all his rockets. Instead of pulling out his shotgun, he pulled out his Equalizer and proceeded to abandon his medic to attack the other team. They both proceeded to die, AND THE MEDIC SAID SORRY.

Huh. I couldn't have worded that any worse. I actually meant that those two matches are in those links. The soldier is gonna pull out his Equalizer when he's getting ubered and leave his medic behind. Then you can see in the chatbox that the medic actually apologizes.

I think the apology was for ubering the soldier out of nowhere without warning, which is a really shitty move. But yeah, like I said, their ENTIRE team sucked, so it's hard to expect anything more.
