If I wasn't a few hours late I would have, but it's the first thing I thought of.

Despite hearing that annoying song like a bajizzillian times.

It makes me happy and puts me in a fantastic mood :p I was giddy when my friend showed it to me.

Also, allow me to add my own "FUCK YEAAAH" to Wakfu. Just don't read the second season's planned episode list, Twisted, there's a massive spoiler in the episode names. Well, they could always pull one of those "Haha, it doesn't actually mean what it looks like it means!" ruses, but one way or the other, it's still a spoiler.

Oh i know. Hah
That's not an official episode list, anyways. It was just tossed on some wiki somewhere, and eventually got removed.
But the official site is definitely putting some emphasis on him anyways.

Starting watching the old cartoon Redwall again, got to the second season and discovered that Tim Curry did the voice for the villain. Ah memory lane.

Yes, the cartoon were based off the Brian Jacques books. There were 3 seasons. Redwall, Mattimeo, and Martin the Warrior.

Whereas Sin's first post just reminded me of Fern Gully, because for some reason I associate Redwall with it, perhaps due to both having small talking creatures, and Tim Curry voicing a villain.

Wait, I read those books, it used to be my favourite series. THEY HAVE A CARTOON?! Is it good? How is the art? how well do you think it lives up to the series? Does it still depict the deaths of various characters? Did they change much? Do you have a link? Am I asking too many questions?
When did this happen!?

It's pretty much a given that if it's Tim Curry, the character is a villain. The man just has the voice. And that fucking Grinchy grin of his, too. This may not always be true, but a vast majority of the time...

Re: What made you feel giddy today?

Redwall, episode 1, part 1. Each episode is split into three parts here, the first two being ten minutes, the last part being about 1-2 minutes to finish it off.

for being a Canadian and French (France, not Quebec) cartoon the artwork and quality is actually quite good. The origin is also probably why this series flew under the radar back in 1999 when the first season popped up. (Martin the Warrior was finished in 2001).

Now, for an adaptation meant for kids (It was rated 8+ in Canada) it's still rather violent in parts. I've never seen Bugs Bunny bite someone's head off (albeit this was offscreen) with a nice squishy sound effect coupled with the crunch of skull breaking. However, despite the high level of violence (for a kid's show) it still really tones it down compared to the books. They never find Asmodeus' victims bloated and gross. All the really violent deaths are done off screen, so you don't really see anyone get hit with arrows in the neck (like it had grown there as Jacques was fond of saying).

I find it's pretty faithful to the books, but there are still quite a few differences made to better fit the show as a television series. Still recommend it though if you enjoyed the books.
