After you have beaten the girl with the tentacles in the first Town, speak with the Mayor and he tells you that they got attacked from within. Now you go to the building left of the Townhall, enter it run around there, kill the guy there (its the one from the chain screenshot) ... and so on.... till you beat the game

VH is a really really nice game, sadly it isnt finished.
There is also a translation crew, but they recently stopped the translating, since the game still updates.

edit: might be something with the files in the picture folder - they all seem to be renamed from the original and Winrar says something about syntax errors in the filenames...

Not sure what problem your having, all I did was make a zip folder using windows 7, copied the entire modded game into it, and uploaded it. If you have XP or windows 7, try simply double-clicking on the file, and copy and paste the contents to another folder. Also make sure your language settings for non-unicode is in Japanese or use applocale.

Since you are so home in the game could you tell me in which common even do I find how long the rape last? I think its a little short for my taste. So I want to lengthen it a little while keeping the damage it does on the same lvl.

Mmmm...well, the trouble is I did look at that, but the calculations involved are very complicated. I'd like to mod it, because my thinking runs along the same line as yours, but I don't think I can pull it off. If I figure something out I'll post something, but don't keep your hopes up.

Wh-what? Anyways. I got the conclusion! Ya need a Japanese Unicode Install and change your PC to Japanese if you want to install the one i installed now to get this crap working.

Then this game will work, not yet tested. Don't got Japanese at this sucker PC...-_-...gotta find somehow to get Japanese on it.

I'm not going to bother reading all the previous posts but I couldn't get the game to load either for a while. Turns out the .rar or whatever was not extracting most of the files due to the jp gibberish. So set your computer to japanese locale and then extract. I switched back to english afterwards and it runs fine. If this isn't your problem, sorry.

applocale worked fine for the initial game archive: i just ran winamp with applocale and extracted fine

your version, however, gives me those syntax errors with winamp (for all the files in the pictures folder). i've also tried extracting with 7-zip+applocale and explorer: gives no errors but the game doesn't launch


edit: just tried extracting your version except the pictures folder and copied over the pictures folder from original game - didn't work, i got the same error just after the "EB enterbrain" logo

The pictures are the same, I've only changed stuff in the database and map files. Hmm...try setting compatibility mode in the rpg_rt.exe to something else, like windows 95/98/XP.

I'm assuming you can get the original version to work, so if that still doesn't work, place any .lmu, .ldb, and .lmt files from the modded version and place them in your ORIGINAL game folder, overwriting everything. (Make a backup first of course.) You'll only find the files I mentioned in your main game directory, so don't bother looking in the sub-folders.

Try one of the armors in the item shop, there is no confirmation, so check your menu afterwards. Actually I really should have put a confirmation message in there, so I'm not going to spoiler the location to prevent people from accidently using it.

Also, I have a good idea as to why the modded game didn't work for you. I suspect that RTP, since it is just a collection of common files, works in part by telling any rpgmaker program through the registery the path the files are located at. However since your computer's registery and mine are obviously different, since I used a custom location to install RTP, the computer couldn't find the location for the RTP files and thus the .exe complained about missing files.

I apologize if anyone else has a problem, I don't know how to fix it other then to manually move all the files in the main directory except the .ini and .exe to where you have the base game. Another trick that MIGHT work is move the original's .ini file to the modded game's folder, replacing it.

Applocale seems to work for me when using 7zip, never failed once, while extracting normally brought about the unrecognized unicode symbols, and failed to get the game to launch properly.

It is entirely possible that the problem is system specific, given that I have win7. I have only rarely gotten aplocale to work correctly with the unzip stuff though. Usually I just get an entirely new form of gibberish characters. I sort of remember having the same problem with winXP though, so i can't be sure.

If you copy your RTP files into a game's folder (merging folders but NOT overwriting files) then you can open up the RPG_RT.ini file and add in the line FullPackageFlag=1.

It'll not use the RTP and instead use whatever is in the game's path (which is why you copy the RTP in there if it needs it.). You only should really do that if you're distributing the game for people who don't have the RTP.

...Or for rare examples like this case with his RTP being installed in a custom location.

Thanks Deekin. I figured the .ini file could be used to make the installation simpler, but I didn't know how. I don't think I'll be releasing another version, but if I do, I'll include the RTP files and change to the .ini.

Video - Struggle Free Mod: Just a little change I made to make the game more enjoyable for myself! A bit unwieldy and system dependent unfortunately. Maybe gmanprime can add it to his revision really quick? Just a thought...
