Much like during the previous operation, Mei's initial stealth approach was highly succesful, enabling her to take out one of the guards with ease. As she snapped the soldier's neck, his partner tried to get into alert mode, but was soon stopped by the equally sneaky slimes. Both of the dead people were soon deposited behind the building where they would not be as easily seen. "Good job." the demoness applauded her unit in a low voice before moving back to the sneak mode. She would look inside the outpost via a window to get an idea of how things were inside, moving in if the coast was clear enough.

Since not all of them were there, and they had killed the guards, the group now outnumbered the soldiers by one.

Getting a surprise attack would help tip the odds even further into her group's direction. Moving around the outside of the building, she inspected the surroundings for an alternate route inside, such as an attic or basement door. If those were not a possibility, then an empty room was a runner-up, followed by the most blatant front door entry as the last resort.

Mei-Lien would find that the barracks wasn't so poorly thought out that there were more secretive entrances, at least not that she could see. She would have to do this the obvious way.
