Re: Multiplayer Gaming

Yeah, I got the same issue with L4D2, whenever I got mobbed by the hordes it would fuck me over big time. And funnily enough, when I was playing a game with Mo, Obe and Bart we came across a wandering Witch as well. Though admittedly I did purposely shoot at her xD

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

Yeah, kinda odds.

My only complaint would be that the spitter goo still seems to be MUCH too fatal, specially if the player is hemmed in. I know that was her use, but still...

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

I didn't get to face the Spitter all that much, mainly because Mo, Obe, Bart and myself took to killing each other at the safehouse near the park xD

I've noticed that if you play single player, the bots tend to be idiots.

When you play online, with other players, you will find a lot of people who you would rather swap out with a bot.

I've found the spitter's..spit to be ok, not too damaging, not too weak, just that the spitter itself seems to be about as weak as the boomer.

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

Smoker/Charger/Hunter + Spitter = Survivor death. Especially if both are player controlled, and you've got a horde or a tank as a distraction. The acid can take out half your health in about five seconds (it seems, haven't looked up the numbers) and if you can't move out of it because something else is holding you and mauling you to death....

The new infected adds an excellent amount of additional strategy and teamwork. I love it. Thank god for the infected mod, I've had a lot of fun with it.

If anyone plays Dawn of War (Dark Crusade or Soulstorm) or Battle for Middle Earth, and is interested in a multiplayer match, send me a message.

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

Okay, so I've been trying to get Killing Floor 'NoSteam Edition' to work, and I can play and level up fine solo, the problem comes from trying to level up my perks online.

First I downloaded these torrents and followed the instructions in the notepads:

Then I went here and updated to 1010, as well as downloaded the maps:

So, as of now, other than the folders, my root folder [C:/Games/KillingFloor] has
--Killing Floor Patch 1008 by MadWiggy
--rev.ini
--revApps.ini
--revLoader.exe
--Steam.dll
--steamclient.dll
--steam_appid.txt
and those files are not found anywhere else in any of the folders. The root folder also has unins000.dat and .exe, but that's the uninstall stuff if you choose to uninstall.

I just can't figure out how to get the perks to level up online, and any help would be appreciated. Yes, there is a download out there that sets my perks to lvl 5, no I don't want to do that.
I've tried connecting through Hamachi and Garena, and neither one seems to want to work.
There are apparently 'white listed' maps that the perks are supposed to level up on, but that's not the case here, as the perks won't level on ANY map unless I'm playing solo offline.
Even if it means I can't level the perks up offline, I'll still appreciate the help, since I'd rather level up online with my friends.

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

Leveling up online is only disabled when you're either not on a white listed map, or the server thinks you're not playing legit. The problem might also be that stats and such are stored via steam, so when playing on servers who are pretty much using steam as a client, none of your stats will be recorded.

The only way to fix this, unless the pirates who made it make another fancy patch for it, is to play Killing Floor via Steam.

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

Lol sounds like a good enough reason. Even if it is a terrible excuse for an MMO in my opinion. However, som fool child said his password out loud before so I hacked his account xD

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

Runescape has a few things that are actually done right, sadly, it also has a lot of things it does horribly wrong, and it's the wrong parts of the game people focus on when they think of it.

But hey, it's free, you get what you pay for(Litterally, last I checked there were members only things that you had to pay to unlock, and that were the fun looking parts).

On the subject of TF2, the Spy Crab is my favorite class. All of the medics knew who to uber when the saw me.

Needless to say, my team won.

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

There's a game called Fallen Earth my buddies want me to try. Downloading game as I type, so I dunno how good it is.

Here's the link they sent me for a free 15-day trial key for the game:

Yes, you have to make an account with The Escapist if you don't have one, but it's free.
They'll even tell you where to go to download the game.

Just something I figured I'd pass along. Free time in a game is always a good thing, eh? :p

EDIT: OMFG the Update/Patch time is a BITCH. From 5hrs, to 24+ hrs, now down to 10hrs. 4.5 (give or take .1 or .2) GB with 49299 files.

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

Hmmm, this game seems like it might be worth some time.

*Goes on quest to find and assimilate any info about the subject that can be found on-line.*
