So that's who added me. I was wondering who the hell you were.

Also, obnoxious rundown of the unlocks:


Scout
Force-a-Nature: Previously shitty, now decent. The knockback is increased and the force jump can be helpful.
Bonk! Atomic Punch: lmfao. extremely situational. Don't bother if you want to use scout for srs face kind of bsnss.
Sandman: Previously epic win, then shitty, then decent. It removes some HP, but the ball can help a bit.

Soldier
Direct Hit: Fucking perfect unlock. The definitive sidegrade. Makes rocketspam useless, but if you're a good shot and you're good at juggling, go to fucking town.
Buff Banner: Meh if there isn't much teamwork happening. Good if there is. Awesome paired with an uber.
Gunboats: Use only if you rocketjump a shitload.
Equalizer: Straight upgrade.

Pyro
Backburner: Shit.
Flare Gun: Meh.
Axtinguisher: Fucking awesome. Straight upgrade.

Demoman
Scottish Resistance: Good for the defensive demo who's moist for stickies.
Chargin' Targe: Good if used with the Eyelander.
Eyelander: Good if used with the Chargin' Targe.

Heavy
Natascha: Fucking annoying as shit, but not extremely effective.
Sandvich: Amazing.
KGB: Step one, get a medic. Step two, get an uber ready. Step three, kill somebody. Step four, pop uber. Step five, KILL THE FUCK OUT OF EVERYBODY WHOO

Engineer


Medic
Blutsauger: <3 for combat medic.
Kritzkreig: Best on defense, imo.
Ubersaw: Needs the original taunt, but otherwise, straight upgrade.

Sniper
Huntsman: Shit weapon for spammy retards who can't snipe worth shit.
Jarate: Annoying as fuck if you're a spy. A good sidegrade.
Razorback: Total shit. 3 revolver shots can kill him anyway and just as quickly, so why bother wasting the slot if I'm going to kill your stupid fucking paranoid ass anyway?

Spy
Ambassador: Use if you're a good shot. Not very fantastic for retreats and whatnot.
Cloak and Dagger: Shitty watch for shitty spies. Most people who use this thing sit in a corner, walk for 3 seconds, then sit in another corner. Repeat until somebody runs into them, then they die because they're fucking stupid.
Dead Ringer: Awesome watch for meh spies. If you're too lazy to slowly stalk into the enemy base, disguise as a friendly, pop this baby out, then run like hell. Did they just take out that poor pyro? Nope. You're a dead ringer spy. And you're right behind them.

As for the cloak and dagger, it's nice if you're joking around, but it's really not that good otherwise. All unlocks are optional, you can do just as well without them.(And some may be better then others, but that usually gets a nerf pretty quickly.)

Also, killtaunts are fun.

Heavy taunting with his fists is an instant-kill, he pretends to shoot with his finger, and if it hits, the target dies.
Pyro with the shotgun/flaregun does a hadoken, it's quick and what most people think of when they read 'tauntkill'.
Scout with the sandman, the longest tauntkill, but can be done while under the effect of Bonk! to be invulnerable for it's duration.
Medic has a new tauntkill with the ubersaw, pretty straightforward, he kills people with it.
Sniper with the huntsman jams an arrow into whatever is in front of him, stunning anything(Ubers included), and then pulls it out, killing whatever is in front of him(Unless it's an uber).
Soldier can blow himself up with the equaliser, this kills you and everyone of the enemy near you.
Demoman swings his sword around and kills that way, pretty simple.
Spy with his knife first cuts twice, then stabs also pretty simple, but harder to get because the cuts only do a little damage and the stab is lethal.

I like the cloak and dagger, it adds the illusion of suspense to a match where I play as a Spy. That and I don't have the Dead Ringer yet, I think. And I hardly ever play as an Engie because I'm shit with him XD

I agree with most of Obe's assessments, although I do like the Flare gun on the Pyro because it gives them some long range capability. Good for flexibility, and the shotgun is kinda meh anyways because it's best used up close and personal, kinda like the flamethrower.

And seriously, just use the fucking normal spy watch. It's better than either of the others.

I played against this scout that was going ridiculously fast with some 50% speed boost item and every sniper I've seen is using that back protector thing.

The 50% speed boost item is fucking fail, and so is the fucking back protector. (Bonk! Energy Drink and Razorback, respectively.)

Bonk doesn't let you attack while using it, and is almost useless for a getaway because it takes several seconds to actually drink, and the back protector is useless ebcause a Spy can simply shoot away instead of stabbing you. It's a sign of an ignorant Sniper, or someone who rageequipped it because they kept getting backstabed because they suck. Either way, don't worry too much about the upgrades, there are only a few dead upgrades (weapons that are better than their counterpart) such as the KGB and the Ubersaw.

^ Could have used better examples. After all, the fists have one of the best killtaunts in the game. POW! HAHA!

Straight upgrades for melee would definitely be equalizer or axtinguisher, imo.

The Dead Ringer is fun for small games though, such as 3 per team. They don't have enough peopel to watch each other's back, and combat spah is an acceptable class choice.

Yes, I have no shame if it means getting free stuff. Even if I only manage to net 10 people, I get a free character. The only downside is they have to make it to Summoner level 10 for the referral to count, but it would be way too easy to spam /b/ or something if you only needed the amount of referrals.

If I net 10,000, I get to visit the game designer's studio. All expenses paid.
No way in hell am I shooting for that, but I think it's kinda funny >.<

As I have said before, it's stand-alone DotA, with some of the same problems, but it's definitely more fun to me.

Even if you don't play it long enough to get to level 10, I'd at least say try it out.

I used the IW on doublecross today. Long ass cloak, restores a lot of cloak with ammo boxes and weapons, silent decloak sound, cloak on demand... <3

So I was in this public game. And a spy was sapping my sentry. I stopped and thought, what do OTHER engineers think when they realize that their precious sentry is being sapped by that damn frenchie? How do they react?
