In this case go ahead and add your own detail there, I'm stating now that I'm allowing that to prevent any complaints later on.

As for the trek, probably uneventful since they aren't parked very far away at all. Though being a desert area, I'd say mostly sand, though there is some rock in that area as well as a river at some point, though they aren't near the river .... YET.

Wind .... Hadn't taken that into account so I'd say either assume no wind at this stage, or make up your own on that.



Hmm, I suppose for future we could make an "In transit to location" thread, though to be fair I'll not start that til the next mission, isn't fair to give one group that chance and not the other. Speaking of which, I need to make the Colorado Springs thread! *smacks forehead.*

Taken me awhile to get around to this...But the Night Stalker is actually slightly smaller than the Night Hawk. It was designed for stealth insertions, but has armaments standard, whereas the Night Hawk has to have someone mount an M60 machine gun on a door mount if weapons are needed.

As for the flight over on the C-130 "Hercules", which is what I'd suggested Siphon use, conversation may have been difficult. It's my understanding that the passenger space, what little there normally is, does not have the best soundproofing in the world.


And with regards to the VTOL Jet idea...Well, as it turns out, the only things available that matched what Siphon was wanting were one-man fighters...Which I'm guessing, based on an earlier comment from the character, that it would be highly unlikely that RJ, and perhaps the other two, would know how to fly.

The in-transit idea sounds fantastic... At least, likely only to me. There seems to be a lot of support for, "Just get to the point!" which doesn't settle with me very well... As having characters just talking, or traveling, or even just doing vacational shit doesn't bother me, and actually helps me get in more depth with the game, rather than just having action all the time...

I agree that transit was a good idea, but admittedly, it was late when Siphon made up the thread.

Already established that RJ didn't know how to fly one, and I didn't realize a C-130 was that noisy. Hmm ....



Ok RJ, then starting on the next mission they undertake I'll create a thread for that, some times it will be a long part, sometimes it will be short, depending on where they are going, and the post I make for them in transit will always state who is in the team, intended destination, estimated flight/drive time and the like. Whatever info I can get my hands on.


For the record, I'm going to be using weather models off real world for each "day" in the RP, however in some cases since a game day may take much longer than a real world day, the patterns may not always be accurate.

Well...I'm not certain that it is. If I get the chance, I'll ask my Air Force contact about it.

Why not just record all the data from that selected day, and use that for the whole game day? Not counting the next, where you could go back and get new data for the new day.

In other words get the data from say today for Nigeria, and not garner new data until we move to a new game day?


Was what I was thinking of doing.

Sounded to me like if a day went on for several real days, you'd change the weather...

No, once a "day" has started, the only way the weather will change is if the real time weather for that location changes during the original data gathering day.

IE: Arizona in the summer goes through parts of the day where it suddenly starts raining like a biblical flood in the afternoons and late evenings, while the morning might be hotter than satan's ass, and drier than the Sahara. In that case, the weather would change because the real time single day weather did.


Hope that made sense.


Also, did my best to describe our foe RJ, not sure how else to describe that enemy, and it's the RE 5 version of it.

Hehehe. Lurker, Roger was talkin', and lookin' at Kelly, "Dex." Roger already had his assumptions as to why Sarah joined, and wanted to come, even though they were likely incorrect. :p

Kinda-kinda. As well, People who get excited about combat, or go around shouting taunts, and appear to enjoy themselves while killing just about anything puts Roger on edge, and makes him want to put some distance between himself, and that person.

Basically, Sarah didn't make a good impression on Roger. Not that it'd matter to her. :rolleyes:
