AWMBI - Discussion

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

It wouldn't be a magical slime, it'd have a brain and all.

It's special characteristic would be that you can't melee it without touching it, so ranged is your only option. ;)

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

Looking at all these monsters that keep attacking everyone elses characters I think my character got off pretty luck with just crabs.

Then again if the crab hoard had gotten to her she would of been fucked.
literally.

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

Every enemy has their way of catching victims, some aren't good at frontal combat, as you've seen with the crabs, others are good at picking their victims off from a distance, while only being able to take a small amount of pain before backing off.

Every enemy has a strong point, and multiple weak points.

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

Just out of curiosity but what would of happened if the crab swarm had caught Iris?

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

They wouldn't have. They're too small and not very scary looking to scare you so much that you stop dead in your tracks, the most they could have done is make you soil yourself, and that's on a VERY lucky roll.

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

Gawd guys! Give RJ a break so I can get MY CHAR UP!
even tho this is actually a plan to make me suffer more by RJ

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

Sorry RJ, I don't swing that away even tho I am sure you love my ass.

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

You want it to, 'rough you up' a little bit first? :p
You know, I originally read this as "Do you want to 'rough it up' a little bit first", hehe. Reading comprehension, FTW! Hope that's not influencing Christie's current state of affairs ;). Not that I want you to go easy on her, I just didn't expect that the first chapter would be so traumatic for her!

NEVAR!

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

It's all in the die rolls, which are greatly influenced by the current state of affairs.

She was scared by it, so she suffered a penalty to all rolls, that helped it grab her. Plus, you made her very weak in strength, so breaking out of a hold and fighting in melee is very ineffective.

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

Dang, I thought giving her a few levels of Brawl would help her out in that regard . Oh well, that's what I get for trying to make a support character *shrugs*. And I do like how you handled the scenario ending, it wraps up nicely her not having any way of getting to the inn without running buck naked through a city full of a monsters, as well as introduces her to one of the real fighty characters :D

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

How does starting items work? or is it just the clothing on your back?

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

Don't be surprised, it's my intention to involve all characters in the plot line, something you might do could effect everyone else, whether you're near them, and even if you don't know them!

Keep this in mind, anything can happen when hell breaks loose. :)

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

You're more fighty than me, Miss "Almost Raped Twice in the Prologue." :D

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

Shrike's got a contact to help her out once per scenario, so that makes things a lot easier.

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

All I have to say is that pretty much any character could be considered fighty compared to mine. Jillian spent most of her prologue screaming.

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

Yeah but she didn't run as much, theres a difference.

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

So, we've got four scenario completes so far, yes? How's that safe haven thread coming along? ;)

Also, I drop five points into contact and he only helps me once per scenario? Really? I feel kind of disappointed...

Re: AWMBI - Discussion

His help is gold, his stats are higher than everyone's, his skill with various weaponry is nearly maxed, he'll save you without being called in an extremely dire situation, and he can provide ammo and even small items from the shop for you.

I'd say he's pretty useful.
