Forgot to post it, but the author has been working on the Spine combat these past few weeks, and he hopes to get it done during this month. His next focus will be the main game itself after it's done. Most of the ci-en post was talking about how useful Dropbox is, which it is:

New update: After countless days of Spine work with the combat screen, he's mostly done with it. This new Ci-en posts show how the combat screen will look like, and an operation check version of the game will be released to pay plan soon. More info here:

Sorry, I'm a bit out of the loop. Was there a relatively up-to-date free demo for this anywhere?

It's an operational version given to test out the card game feature which has the updated menus and stuff, so you cannot access anywhere else other than the casino. It's in this post here:

Are you playing the BJ test version from 2020? Did you earn 50k from gambling?
 
Not 100% sure if this is the set release date as the author has didn't say if it's another placeholder or not, but he petitioned to change to release date window on dlsite from mid April to mid August instead. Either way it's in the realm of possibility since the summer months are around May to early September in Japan.

Well a bunch of update just for 1 week; he finally finished the ero combat and has posted it on his ci-en page. No link since loli

It's a pity that author doesn't show more stuff to non-followers makes it hard to actually see what he's currently doing, especially if you don't really know japanese >.>

A problem with every crowfunding project, they want more people to join but show very little, at least most of them. This project is really cool and the games that came from the autor before prove that they are really good, but people who just are looking into the project without knowing... is kinda not appealing.
