Candyland CYOA

Re: Candyland CYOA

B. Catching of breath can be done while looking around.

Re: Candyland CYOA

B sounds good. It's easy to catch your breath on the move, right?

Re: Candyland CYOA

The two girls quickly catch their breath as they looked around at their surroundings. Near them is the very high mountainside chocolate cliff they plummeted from and the nectar waterfall, pouring into the lake below. Far off, following the cliff's base to the left of the waterfall was a sinister mist-filled, dark chocolate valley. To the left of the valley was another large mountain range. Between that mountain, and wrapping around to the right side of the waterfall was a massive expanse of green, sugar grass plains. In the distance, across the plains, they could see the faint outline of a forest's edge, an even greater expanse of plains, and the rising sun's horizon reflecting across the sea in the distance.

Where should the go?:

A. Take a look around the waterfall.

B. Look around the nectar lake.

C. Go towards the sinister-looking valley.

D. Travel across the plains:

-1. Towards the further expanse of plains.

-2. Towards the forest.

-3. Towards the sea.

-4. Along the cliff's base on the right side of the waterfall.

E. Other.

Emily and Lynn lie on the lake's shore as they catch their breath. In a matter on minutes, Kari leans in to kiss Emily deeply, Emily returning the favor.

"I'm so thankful you're alive~."

"Me too~! I thought we were goners for sure~."

The two of them break the embrace and then look around at their surroundings.

"So, where should we go now?"

Emily takes an interest in the waterfall.

"I wanna take a look at that waterfall."

Kari nods and helps Emily get up. The two of them pick up packs and go over to the waterfall. Upon closer examination, the two of them see a small cavernous opening behind it.

What should they do?:

A. Go around the waterfall and examine the cave.

B. Look around the nectar lake.

C. Go towards the sinister-looking valley.

D. Travel across the plains:

-1. Towards the further expanse of plains.

-2. Towards the forest.

-3. Towards the sea.

-4. Along the cliff's base on the right side of the waterfall.

E. Other.

A.

Re: Candyland CYOA

Hrm.... I feel as if 4 would be the wisest choice, but my spirit of adventure is telling to me choose A as well.

A There's always treasure in hidden places!

Re: Candyland CYOA

"Come on, I want to get a closer look."

Emily lead the way across the narrow ledge leading behind the waterfall and into the cave, and Kari follows. The cave is nothing more but a small, empty indent in the cliff face.

What should they do?:

A. Set up camp in the cave behind the waterfall.

B. Look around the nectar lake.

C. Go towards the sinister-looking valley.

D. Travel across the plains:

-1. Towards the further expanse of plains.

-2. Towards the forest.

-3. Towards the sea.

-4. Along the cliff's base on the right side of the waterfall.

E. Other.

Re: Candyland CYOA

Hrm... well, it's only been a few minutes since we woke up, so no setting up camp yet. And we've been around the lake for a few decisions without noticing anything, so I assume it's done its job. The sinister valley looks... sinister. Which might be nice for the players, but isn't really what the girls might go for? That leaves the plains.

And if we're going to wander the plains, we should do so in a way that insures we can find our way back to where we started. Even if that isn't really especially useful after falling off a cliff... at least it's a point from which to base our future exploration.

So D-4.

Re: Candyland CYOA

I say D-3. Around the lake towards the sea. Maybe it'll lead us to the beach! But I do agree with thetwo about making sure we can find our way back to the lake and cave if needed.
