The girl lifted her head revealing black sockets where her eyes should have been. Lets play! Striking out Rikke easily dodged the tendrils that slammed down behind her and leaped over the ones that slammed in front of her. Dashing forward she cut into the woman only for her body to rebuild the damaged area with shadow making her whole once more.

Rikkes swift movements quickly allowed her to dodge the rather clumsy attacks as she'd surge forward to the creature and let loose a slash! A direct hit! The girl smiled slyly to herself only to turn around and see the creature re-assemble! 'Crap...'

Seemed normal slashing attack wouldn't work "Then I'll take your head!" the rogue prepared for the counter attack as this time, she'd let loose a slash to decapitate the horrid creature!

Lashing out in a quick series of graceful strikes Rikke found her blade meeting shadows as the fallen one seemed to remain just out of reach. Finding no purchase. Stunned if only for a second Rikke felt a shadowy tendril thrash into her knocking her away and too the ground. Getting up the red orb glowed a little trying to draw attention to itself.

As Rikke struck the very shadows seemed to turn solid to block her blows! The heroines blade crashing against the matter as if it was made of steel, though with her attack Rikke hardly expected the sudden lash of the shadow tendrils to extend with such speed or ferocity!

Unable to block the attack, the girl felt pain rush through her body as she'd be knocked back and tumbled briefly, before getting to her feet mid-tumble "Tsskk..." she'd wince painfully as her orbiters passed around her.

All four were still present? The girl was certain these served as protection against the dark, each blow expending one. Yet the rogue certainly received a blow, but these four were still there. Infact, with the girls lowered stance she could far more clearly see each orb as it passed. As she'd focus her gaze briefly on them, trying to catch any details... before no doubt she'd have to return to battle!

The first orb that passed her was black in color but not like the shadows, as she recalled this one appeared when April had kissed her. The next one that passed by was the deep red one almost crimson like blood. She couldn't remember who have her that one but at the moment it seemed to shine brighter than the others for the moment. Next came the orange one. It seemed warm like the sun. The last was purple and had come from what looked like the new girl.

All of them appeared featureless, just glowing orbs of light. Perhaps it was just cosmetic, yet then why one of them was brighter than the others? Well if the blessing was going to do anything, now was the time to do it!

There was no time for this! Rikke stood up once again, as she'd steady her breath. While lightning strikes did not seem to work, the rogue would try a wholly different fighting technique!

Rushing forward Rikke would begin an absolute blade dance with her first testing strike!

Calling upon the blessing to do something if anything Rikke felt a surge of vitality fill her. As she felt renewed the orb darkened again. With renewed strength Rikke stuck out once more striking at the shadows only to have her blade turned away again. cursing Rikke felt dark fire burn her causing her to jump back. She needed to stop the attacks so she could find away threw. At this thought the black orb seemed to shimmer while the purple orb glowed.

Activate Purple orb!

With a clang the girls blade was deflected! Only for the creature to follow up the deflection with a burst of flames! "Ku-aah!" the rogue blocked as much as she could, but with the hellfire rushing she'd only be able to withstand it and land nearby smoke surrounding the girl briefly, before she charged forward once again! Not stopping her series of blows, Rikke would aim for a different angle this time... Her initial attack was testing, this was the start of her real offense!

Meanwhile, the rogue certainly felt restorative powers from somewhere as her eye only briefly caught the red orb shimmering out, while the purple was ready again? 'Okay purple, you're up!' perhaps each blessing was not static, but more of a magical source that could be activated?!

Following the flow Rikke brought forth the energy of the purple orb which seemed to cover her in some see threw purple energy armor. This caused the purple orb to dim only for the red orb to bright back up. Still as surprised as that was Rikke saw the next shadow lash coming and parried the powerful blow being able to negate most of the hit with the armor handing the rest. With the sudden opening Rikke lashed out quickly damaging the girl whos body slowly healed it self.

Surrounded the black voice, Rikke rushed forward her figure still that of a brilliant white light. Though just as she rushed forward, the purple orb seemed to beam to light as all around the girl a subtle purple barrier appeared!

With the newfound protection, the rogue sharpened her eyes and went into close quarters with the beast! Her first strike merely testing the beast, the girls second strike carried much more impact as she'd attack the creature her attack no longer easily dismissed as it forced a dodge from the slim shadow-clad figure! It was then Rikke saw a clear opening...

Bolstered by her victory in sight, Rikke parried several of the tendrils extending towards her as just as expected another lash came! Though this time, the rogue was ready, just as the shadowy tendril lashed out Rikke quickly angled her blade to force the impact slide along it, purple sparks from the barrier sparking out as barely a moment later the rogue countered snapping off the tendril with a quick strike as she'd lunge forward!

One... Two and Three! The first strike to test the opponent, second to expose any weakness and third to capitalize on her blade dancing! "I do not know what darkness took hold of you, but this is the end!" her confidence announced and radiating, Rikke moved in to finish off her Lotus Bloom strikes!

Indeed it was all the opening Rikke needed as her blade sunk home causing the woman to fall back and collapse. Feeling the rush of victory Rikke tried to flick her blade clean only to see the shadow ichor already evaporating off. Looking to the woman she saw the wound she had caused began to nit its self back together. Soon the monster would be back in the fight. All around her the people cried out their essence seeming feeding the darkness inside the woman.

Rikke dashed in for a final blow, the girls lowered stance making her push herself right next to the enemy and just below her, moments later as her smile, the gleam in her eyes met the creatures... along with the girls upwards slash! A brilliant streak of light following the upwards arcing attack as it sliced the creature in two above her waist!

She did it!... yet this new technique certainly needed some work! Still as the final blow landed not only did it prove supremely powerful, it had a subtle magic to it Rikke hardly even expected. A magic that seemed to absolutely reinvigorate and rejuvenate her body!

Leaping back, Rikke was about ready to see the darkness crumble all around... yet it did not? To her horror the rogue turned to the darkness as the two sides of the creature seemingly smiled, moments later followed by dark tendrils shooting out to connect the two sides and slowly meld them back together!

A cold sweat ran down Rikkes body, as clearly the creature was far from done yet! Still not wasting time, the rogue quickly looked to her orbs hoping one of them was shinning!

Looking up Rikke saw every orb with the exception of the purple orb ready. She had yet to use the black or orange one. Still had no idea as of yet what each one did besides the red. A dull screech echoed out from the fallen as her body finally pulled her body together. It looked like Rikke only had a moment left before the fight started again.

Alright... so it was up to guesswork! Orange or Black... Orange or Black... the girl always loved orange, so it was as good as any other! She'd rush in to strike the creature trying to prevent or atleast slow its regeneration as the orange orb activated alongside her basic attack!

Striking Fast Rikke saw the shadows move to protect the fallen one blocking the blow completely. Dashing back from a counter strike proved needless as the creature seemed to focus on defense. It was then the orb ignited a brilliant orange banishing the darkness for a moment and causing a shrieks of pain from the creature. Looking around Rikke saw spirits float up and away from some of the trapped.

It was working! Even if the rogues blows were blocked, seemed with each strike the orange orb activated to free more and more spirits! Even if the attacks weren't effective to damage it... the rogue was weakening it!

Heading up close to the creature, the rogue would let loose a flurry of attacks! While no doubt a fair number of them bounced back, hopefully each strike would activate the orange orb more and more!

Though just incase, the heroine would attempt to activate the black one as well! Perhaps she could have two of them active at once?!

Rikke keeping her blade work going once more lashed out with a twin attack. The first attack was blocked but the second seemingly timed with the a radiant burst from the orange orb pierced the shadows and scored a hit. Of course it was hard to tell which caused the creature more pain, the blow or the orb. Still just a Rikke thought the orbs light cause more of the spirits to be freed from the shadows grasp. Figuring it was time Rikke invoked the black orb only for a sound of a sharp crack like that of a whip to echo out. Silver chains seemed to shoot out of the walls binding the tendrils preventing the creature from moving. Even its screeches where drowned out by a red ball gag that seemed to appear in its mouth. It seemed Aprils magic was very ..... different indeed.

Rikke blinked at the sight "Oh.. er... sorry... No wait!" what was she apologising for! Still the rogue quickly recalled the black orb and with the orange orbs aid angled her blade and let loose the final few strikes! "Break! Break! Break!" she'd call out to the darkness guarding the core, as she'd add a slash and step back, her breathing a bit more taxed from the onslaught. Did she manage it? Reveal the corruptions heart and pierce it!

Once more the orb sent fourth its radiance peeling back the darkness as Rikke struck. This time no shadows moved to block the blow no horrid scream of agony echoed out. Just the wet sounds of a blade entering a body. Pulling back from her work Rikke saw the darkness around the place had lifted completely. All the spirits where now floating away from the pit. Before her a desiccated body lay a weak spirit still clinging to the tattered remains. Looking up Rikke saw a deep recess where the shadows trailed off seemingly pulling back from the radiance. Nearby Pelica showed up and kneeled next to the small spirit. Picking it up the girl smiled at Rikke before saying thanks and drifting off with the other spirits.

With a final slash, Rikke quite literally severed the heart of darkness! With her blade stuck, the girl closed her eyes "I'm sorry." before she pulled her blade out, flicking it it clean. The darkness all around slowly peeling back and dispersing... Though it was still alive, yet before the girl could chase after it she'd meet the puppeted girls remains. While there was no blood, the gash Rikke left was all too clear... bring a certain somber and guilt to flow through her body "I..." just as she was to speak, the remnants turned to a small girl.. one that seemed to very quickly be embraced by Pelicia who appeared nearby.

Somehow all the guilt at the killed girl, seemed to be completely swept away as both girls turned to Rikke and smiled thankfully "See you two..." the heroine waved a hand with a cute smile, before turning to the scurrying dark "I've still got to end this." the gril wasted little more time as she'd rush onwards and in-chase of the escaping dark, looking to leap and impale it right down its core! "You won't get away!"

Even a speck of such evil could once again infect this place, after the horror the rogue witnesses just coming to the core. She'd make certain to wipe it out!
