Leaping forward Rikke stabbed down on the dark which screeched in anger. Shimmering the vile shadows took the form of a giant spider. Turning it snapped its jaws at Rikke vile shadow juice dripping from its maw. It seemed Rikke was in another fight!

Rikke leap up and slammed her sword right down the center of the darkness only for it seemingly lash out violently and split to all sides, escaping the blade, before moments later reforming right infront of the rogue... as a humongous black spider!

While Rikke kept a cocky smile as she saw the darkness scurry away as she looked to what was forming and the extending six spindly legs, the girls eyes almost whited out from shock as the monstrosity stood before her!

She'd almost cry out and turn to run, but there was nowhere to run! Rikke had been trapped with her greatest fear and has turned cornered by it!... yet this only worked to the creatures disadvantage! Fueled by fear and cornered, the girl gripped her blade and the more strongly she'd turn to fight even fiercer than before!

Striking forward to end the fight, her blade found its mark only to meet tough resistance. Still she was getting ready for the next strike when the beast due to its large form simply bashed her back throwing off her balance and ruining her momentum. Catching her footing she quickly brought her blade up to parry a blow but moved too fast leaving a gaping hole for the spider to strike Thankfully the mystic armor shielded her though some of the shadow goop manage to land on her and sizzle against the arcane armor.

While the rogue struck true, the sheer strength of the solid shadows seemed astonishing! Infact, it seemed that parts of the shadows worked akin to armor with the much more fluid darkness beneath...

Still the girl had little time girl had little time to observe as the creatures sudden counter-attack flew true knocking her aside, as the purple aura around her intensified upon impact before breaking apart as if incorporeal glass!

She'd not take any damage, but whatever the shady substance was the beast managed to land some of it on her... to little effect for now "Damn..." seemed she'd need to use strategy to defeat the creature. Clearly with its armor in-place the rogue would have a hard time even attempting to deal damage to it, first she had to cut apart its defenses!

Calling on the orb brought fourth a blinding light that caused the beast to lash out at Rikke catching her right in the shoulder but not before her own hit home spilling shadow ichor everywhere. Still as each back off from the strike Rikke felt the shadow poison burn her and the orange orb fade to almost transparent.

Rikke rushed forward this time aiming her strike to strike at the creatures armor openings rather than attempting to overpower the dark matter! Still with the girls unease at fighting the SPIDER of all things, the blow just barely had the potential it could've!

Worse yet, as she'd strike the blade seemed to turn stuck for just a brief moment, enough for the spider to counter-attack! "Aaah!" Rikke quickly leapt away equally in fear and in pain... still the blow struck true! She'd need to keep at it!

Activating the red orb boosted Rikke's vitality though its effect seemed weaker to her. Still it was enough to put the rogue in tip top shape as she slashed out scoring a vital hit! Reeling back the spider seemed to form into a shadowy cocoon pulsing with evil. Still it did not dissipate and Rikke was left with the poison still burning her flesh.

"Oh you don't!" No doubt the shadow beast was keen to regenerate and once again renew its assault! The rogue could not let that happen! As she'd rush to the cocoon, the questionable spell quickly erupting bindings around the darkness as the rogue struck true!

Summoning forth her binding magic the sound of a whip and seductive laugh echoed out. Silver chains burst all around Rikke and tried to latch on to the cocoon. Still while the chains bound the cocoon it didn't seem to stop the pulsing.

It didn't work? Rikke blinked and once again rushed forward for yet another strike, attempting to pierce the cocoons rough exterior! Though if if the girl failed again, she'd pause and look around for any hints how to end this darkness once and for all!

Rikke struck the cocoon again causing it to bubble but other than that it remained. Pulling back she thought a moment. Blade work alone would not end this thing. What she needed was something to purge the shadows. Sadly the orange orb was drained its powers spent. Which left only one thing generating any sources of light herself.

Her blade seemed to be of no use, the orbs had spent their usefulness as well! The girl had to do something else entirely! Rikke paused looking around for anything, something to abolish the darkness... yet the only source of light seemed to be her!

The idea crossed the girls mind, though strong goosebumps rushed her body mixed with some disgust. Would she really have to do it? Rikke winced desperate for an alternative solution, yet nothing came to her. Leaning out with the girl shivered and seemed to brace herself.

With great disdain and unwillingness Rikke took a deep breath and rushed forward trying to get it over with as quickly as possible as she'd.... hug the cocoon! The girls brilliant body embracing it as she her expression seemed more akin to something unimagineably horrible occuring!

Running up Rikke chose to touch the darkness. Reaching out in an embrace the thick cocoon bubble around her threatening to consume her. Except it didn't deep with in Rikke felt a surge of light erupt out of her causing the darkness to burn away. For a few moments Rikke felt panic and fear from the other entity before it changed to a begrudging acceptance of its fate. Soon it relented and Rikke felt the darkness peel away and her body surge with energy. Opening her eyes after closing them from her own radiance Rikke found the shadows completely banished. Looking down after hearing a small clicking noise she saw a small spindling looking up at her. The creature was made of light and had the appearance of a fuzzy spider. Looking up at Rikke it wiggled its but and suddenly leaped at Rikke. Her initial reaction was to dodge back and bring up her arms to block but the she didn't feel an impact instead she felt a warming sensation lock around her sword arm. Looking at it she found a golden bracer shaped like a spider.

Rikke gains slayer of Vivexxxus: All hostile (evil and supernatural) spiders will always attack Rikke first

"Hello-Oooh!" the fuzzy spider appeared almost cute... that was until it leaped to the rogue instantly sending a chill across her body and brief light panic as the girl rapidly looked over her body! Though her search was quickly ended as she noticed the oddly shaped bracelet on her hand "Huh?" it certainly didn't seem malicious, though its significance beyond looking sort of pretty was unclear.

Still Rikke turned away from the bracelet and looked around, as the very stairs she previously used to get down here... through the horror show, were now pristine simple stone. With a smile, Rikke would make her way up them and looked around at the reinvigorated and rejuvenated spirit realm. Seemed she had done it! The calm spurring a sigh of relief from the rogue and a very content, as well as cheery smile.

Indeed things looked immediately better though it would seem the plants and what not would need time to recover. Still at least they no longer looked grey and dead as some of their vibrancy and color started to return. As she looked around she saw Pelia beckon to her. "Its time to head back Rikke. Do me a favor take the girls with you. They deserve full lives not this boring eternity. The living have no place here." With that said Pelia guided her back to the sanctuary leaving her at the door. "I can go no further. I don't want the girls to see me in this state. It would break their hearts.

Rikke smiled and quickly caught the girls hand "It would break their hearts even more to have never said goodbye." the rogue smiled to Pelicia "After all these years of waiting for your return, it's the least they deserve." she'd linger her gaze on Pelicia and knock on the door, her hand still holding the girls... unless Pelicia stayed on her own.

Hesitating a moment the woman relented and instead of waiting for the door opened it herself and let Rikke in. Together they where greeted by all the girls. Upon seeing Pelcia they all broke down and started crying. For long moments they sobbed all of them huddled together. Rikke watch each of them touch the spiritual form of their adopted mother and friend. Even the dominate April seemed to weep meekly at her side seeming the little girl from the vision Rikke had seen. The young cook Rikke had seen before just started bawling and ran right into Rikke and wrapped her arms around her soaking the girls cloths with her tears and muffled her cries pressed against the rogues body. The three dancers just seemed to hold each other tightly their words silent but a look of sadness on their faces. Meanwhile the other two found comfort in each other the stern looking one with glasses holding onto the other as she cried trying to sooth her. Pelecia meanwhile attempted to comfort each in turn helping the girls some. Words of sadness bubbled all around her as the girls tried to come to terms that not only was their dear mother gone but they would have leave this place soon.

Still Rikke was on a time table she would need to leave soon if she was to make her ship. Peclica seemed to realize this and told the girls who looked all very soloum but understood. One by one they gathered their things and left threw the mirror. Till at last it was Rikke and Pelcia standing by the mirror. "I hope they find a good home the girls deserve more than what they have been given."

Rikke loked on to the side, albeit the news was certainly sad. Each girl seemed to take atleast some comfort in finally seeing Pelicia after all this time. One of the girls even getting close to Rikke to express her sadness as the rogue smiled unsurely and stroked her hair "Hey now, don't hug me. Go be with Pelicia, this may be the last time you'll have the chance." she'd wink to them.

Either way, the rogue certainly didn't rush the bittersweet reunion as Pelicia herself informed everyone that it was time to leave. Still as the rogue remained alone with Pelicia each of the girls giving the girl a last hug, before departing to gather their stuff, Rikke had to ask "So... what happens now? The Islands curse has been lifted and the girls will return back to their world. What'll you do next?"

With the answer given, Rikke too hugged the female "I'm sure they'll be fine, they seem a smart and energetic bunch." the heroine giggled "Besides, I suspect they just might have a guardian spirit watching over them." she'd give Pelicia a wink, before stepping back "Thanks Pelicia... and see you." it was time to head back to the mirror and return back to the boat!

Pelcia looked about the room. "I guess Ill move on... though the island needs its protector. I might stay a bit and make sure nothing evil lingers." As Rikke said her goodbyes Pelcia gave her a hug before letting her slip into the mirror. Once more Rikke found herself in the ruined home. Sighing a bit she waited for each girl to leave the mirror before at last April was the only one. Looking sad the girl picked up a rock and smashed it ending its spell. With that the girls started crying anew making for a somber trip back to the boat.

As she approached she caught sight of her rescue party packing up the gear a very annoyed looking Soda over seeing the task. Upon seeing Rikke he yelled for them to stop and rushed to her only to stop mid way and point at the other girls. "Wait... who are they? Oh man Red Dog and Shala are not going to be happy about this...."

Rikke beamed a smile to the somber girls "Come on girls. It's time we left. Give the place a last look over... the rest of the world's waiting for you." she'd wink to them, trying to uplift their spirits even a little.

"Hey~ Told you I'd be back before you know it." Rikke winked happily not the attention to the magic girls, infact this gave the rogue a chance for a firm head-count of the mages! "Mhm~ I'm bringing guests!" the rogue however, seemed to be thinking that the captain would not mind a few more heads onboard even a little bit. Especially considering the girls yet unrevealed abilities.
