Currently first come first serve, I will only be accepting 4 or 5 characters initially, but if enough interest, may run a dual party campaign. I have some time soon, after my assignments/finals are done.

Details for campaign:
Level 6
No Psion (Not really familiar with the rules and not really wanting to learn a new system)
No Alignment restrictions, although please do not use any chaotic stupid or something silly like that.
Use level 6 starting wealth, no items more than half your char wealth, etc.
25 point buy

Books:
PHB series
Complete series

If there any books you want to use something from run it by me first, usually the answer is no, unless you have a really good reason.

Also of question is whether the players want to run this on the forum, or whether it be a chatroom based campaign, I prefer the latter, but if the former is better for the people of the group, then I will likely go with that instead.

If you do forum based, I would be up for it.

I am a Raptor, seeking sexual content in your game. Are we compatible?

Also, I haven't played D&D since I did it with my uncle's side of the family, using the very first rulebook that was in the process of rotting away. So if I do play, I'ma need those rulebooks, and a few pointers of, 'don't do this, or you'll be a retard.'

(Even then, I mostly played due to the interest of seeing the bare breasted witch on one of the pages. Unfortunately though, when I got my wish and met one, she turned me into a pig due to a botched Charisma roll.)

Use that, I don't know if they print 3.5 books anymore now that 4.0 is out.

Also, if the prestige class we want has a requirement like 'must have made peaceful contact with an elemental' can we just put that in our back story, so we don't have to do it in game?

Interest shown. I'd play either, though the chat-game would probably go a lot faster. Also, I'd be willing to help you make your character if you need it RJ.

Re: [D&D 3.5]Campaign Interest

Sexual stuff could be included I guess if there is enough interest in the group/groups. Currently there seems to be half interest in chatroom based, and half interest in forum based.

I can possibly run both as I said, I have some story plot ideas planned out, including a base story/timeline that will progress regardless of player interaction, which is not to say they cannot influence it, it is simply that if they choose not to influence it, it will happen anyway.

Party unity will be preferred, however, if someone decides simply to backstab their team, there may be some consequences and despite the fact that I do not like to run solo characters, I may if it comes up.

If anyone's interested, current interest count is 2 for forums, and 2 for chatroom.

You don't have to worry about me, I'm usually a goody-two-shoes.

But, I can only really play if it's forum based. I like to write things out, character thoughts, and whatnot. It'll also allow me to better keep up with those of you who already know what you're doing, what with rulebooks and all, whereas in chat, you might end up having to wait 5-10 minutes at a time just for me to walk a certain distance in battle, or just to attack with whatever weapon I have as I look up the rules.

Looking like a forum game then. Maybe I'll finally try and make that Bard I always wanted to try out. The only problem I foresee with this is that combat will probably take weeks depending on how often people can post. When were you thinking on starting this up Loli?

An idea might be to use chat for combat, if that's what takes the most time. I can do that.

That might work. Combats could just be copy-pasted into the game threads.

Re: [D&D 3.5]Campaign Interest

I've already indicated my interest to Loli, but I'll make it here too. I've had some ideas for an illusionist ever since my group turned to a low-magic system a few years ago.

Also either way would work for me, but I'd prefer the board method. Using the chat for combat seems like a good idea though...

Alright, cool. So far we've got:

RJ: ?
Me: Bard(?)
maikochan: Illusionist.

Out of curiosity, were you going to go for the prestige class, or just make a themed Wizard/Sorcerer?

Re: [D&D 3.5]Campaign Interest

Well, I just looked through my books, and the only one that seems suitable is the Master Specialist in the Complete Mage. The Nightmare Spinner focuses on fear effects, not quite what I'm going for, and other PrCs are good for just generalist wizards, not counting the Red Wizard of course.

Thinking about your bard... Our spells might overlap a bit, but bards have good enchantment spells too so I might even be able to take enchantment as a prohibited school.

Groovy. The bonuses illusionists get from that kick ass, especially when you hit 5th level (in the prestige class) and can start spamming Phantasmal Killer. To warn you, the Bard I plan on making is bat-shit crazy. He'd be a tank-Bard, with mostly healing spells readied usually, and maybe a few things to make people more upset at him. The concept behind him was a poetry-reading Chaos Space Marine. I was actually tempted to ask Loli if I could custom-make a class to better suit him, but I decided against it.

Sounds fun. I was thinking about someone who enjoys messing with people's heads. Hmmm... actually that's starting to really crystalize my ideas now... (insert slightly menacing sounding chuckling here). Alright, going to reconstruct my character sheet and start statting.

I love character creation...

Re: [D&D 3.5]Campaign Interest

Me too. Except when other people are doing it and taking forever.

Edit: Which obviously won't be a problem here. :D

Double edit: For the point buy, do our stats start at 10 or 8?

Re: [D&D 3.5]Campaign Interest

8 is the normal starting point for point buy.

Also, I typically go for a sorcerer with an aim for elemental savant for the prestige class.

Well, I'm not really gonna think about class just yet. I'm just waiting for the small possibility of sexual content being a factor in the game. If everyone just wants a normal D&D game, you don't have to worry about lil' ol' me.

Re: [D&D 3.5]Campaign Interest

Sexual content doesn't bother me, just be aware my character will be a little on the young side.

Also, Pheonix: What element were you thinking of, just out of curiosity.

Edit: Since I've lent my core books away, I've been relying on an SRD for the basic stuff, but the one I'm using doesn't have the point buy method in it. I found this simple online calculator for making point buy characters, may make it easier for some.
