What's new

ACT Guro [D-lis] Night of Revenge / 魔女は復讐の夜に (RJ405582)

I managed to deflect the crossbow once. The sweet spot must be tiny. Also, I am not sure why anyone should bother to deflect when it's much easier to dash dodge through the bolt.

Deflecting arrows is ludicrously easy. Start the motion just before the bolt makes contact with the blade when in guard stance.

On another note, the menu system is an absolute farce. You equip an item and then mash the keyboard half a dozen times in the hopes you can escape the menu screen with the new equipment in its rightful place. It seems the "correct" way to exit the menu is to keep an item highlighted and then mashing the spacebar.

the trick is to not use the mouse to pick things in the menu, it will get you stuck. only using the arrow keys and "e", then hit spacebar twice to go back

I'm assuming since it's 0.7 its a demo right? So does it end where the boxes stack up on the 3rd level?

Yes it's still a demo, and it probably ends at the boxes. At least I haven't figured out a way to get past them yet.

That's the trouble with such anticipated game. Every new beta demo feel too short and are too far apart...

They're monthly releases. But yeah, the last update was menu and equip stuff, and the next seems to be more porn but maybe not more level.
At least it's good and interesting enough to keep people coming back, begging for more.

Realizing that every icon except the left square is a spell alignment, there probably won't be an item hotbar, so traditional throwable items are most likely just going to be spells, considering how much of an annoyance it would be to constantly go into your menu for an item like RE4 or something.

One of the items placed was a ~10s consumable that added fire damage to your weapon, but was more of an aura, makes sense from a design perspective (I'm guessing the weapons are more like Shanoa's glyphs rather than physical items). It was pretty cool to use

By the way, that ring that doubles(?) your stats is ridiculously powerful, the animation slowdown doesn't apply to jump attacks so the default sword is really powerful, doesn't help that the red sword doesn't have any jump attacks and scaling bonus isn't applied yet, but it's cool that you can see the scaling multipliers rather than using a bullshit arbitrary D/C/B/A/S system. It also applies to ripostes too. There was some letter rating on the weapon information, but not sure what it meant, maybe it's a rating of stagger value? Continuously queuing lightning spells is really good too since you get double MP if you're in a position where you just need to dish out damage without moving.

For some reason you can riposte loop the boss after parrying it once, guessing it's a new bug because I don't remember that in ver0.05.

That city background is gorgeous though, you'd think it'd be a midgame or endgame area.

Overall, the game still feels pretty easy given its inspirations, but that will definitely change. Base stamina is really high and recovers super fast, and there are a lot of ways to avoid damage, but I'm sure D-lis will really be able to put in some dickish level design (which I say out of fondness because they obviously really love Bloodborne and DS)

New enemy showed on his twitter. Human armor looks like lot of fun and giggles.

Yo i was really really concerned for a second when you say twitch.

Next boss, maybe? Looks like a boss game over rape.

The hair is a blonde color, though so I think it's a different character. Maybe like one of those previously mentioned witches that can be saved. It might be similar to how the other girl that's trapped in slime as a breeder is. But instead of breeding new enemies, it acts as an armor, like mak said. So maybe something bad happens if you accidentally hit the girl, or you just do no damage to the enemy.

New version released. So new that I don't even have it and only saw it as I was checking twitter before bed. Luckily, he makes all of his update posts that aren't a link to the game public. I feel a few people could learn from that.
Looking at the list of what's new, he's added in two new enemies, modified some base stats, added in some status effects, made some animations for pre-existing enemies, there's a zoom-in option for the new nursery enemy, pressing ESC will make Aradia pregnant, pressing ESC near the nursery enemy will make her pregnant, and clicking an altar while your clothes are torn will heal them. His post mentions he wants that last bit to be done with items, so now enemies have started doing random-chance drops for items, though the clothing repair item isn't in yet.
He didn't add in menu sounds like he wanted or update the UI to include features he's teased, and the next update is planned to be a level update to increase the map size. Also he wants more animations for pre-existing enemies and to make some new weapons. Hopefully he'll finally add the dual pistols he had like a year ago, or add in that unused backstab animation somehow.

sweet, so hyped progress is being made. has the creator specified how many scenes per enemy he wants to have? or will some have more animations then others?

Now we can only hope to somebody to spare a link to poor bastards like me

Really awesome progress so far. I did encounter a weird bug near the girls on those rose petal wall things though in the first level. As soon as I rescued them whenever I went to that area I just heard the jump and sword swing sound effect over and over and the controls became a bit delayed. I was able to rescue them and continue as soon as I left that general area, but whenever I got near that spot again it started to act up like before. It was fixed as son as I re-entered the area though so maybe it was just something I did haha

Which pre-existing enemies got new animations? Nothing seems new in the first area.

Aren't these both the same thing?
