Re: Divine Arms - A magical action-adventure hentai game
You got it Jesus, we should wait until the bomb EXPLODES before making any attempts at disarming it, that sure sounds like reasonable advice.
In all seriousness though, just as much as people are free to express their support so too are people free to express their doubts and such senseless platitudes are the things that REALLY don't help anyone.
Now, look here. Patreon sure as fuck isn't going to add any kind of accountability system to their platform. That essentially means the only people who can hold people accountable on the platform is the Patrons. When someone misses deadlines or fail to deliver on their promises, that has consequences, it doesn't fucking matter what industry you're in and this will always hold true. The consequences in this case is a bunch of discontent people expressing themselves as such, and they are well within reason to do so.
You'll find that a good number of people will roughly keep 6 months as the golden standard for when absence of results overrides the appeal of promises. Talk is cheap, and it matters little who that talk is done by when it isn't backed by anything tangible.
Now, you patronizing people on false premises isn't helping matters at all either (people are expressing doubts due to several missed deadlines for the new demo, not 'he doesn't share every step of his dev process') and if you cannot provide a counter to the complaints of another without dumbing them down to a ridiculous degree then you're probably better off keeping your thoughts to yourself. Seeing someone knock down their own strawmen is rather unsightly after all.
In the end; You can be as patient as you wish, that's all up to you, just don't try and be the arbiter of how much patience is or isn't reasonable, that is a task as beyond you as it is for anyone else. Telling people not to pledge after the fact is also utterly pointless when trying to resolve discontent, and means fuck all to someone complaining about accountability.
P.S. you ending with 'you're not helping anyone' is hilariously ironic
