I agree with you, but society seems to feed off of insults.While attending middle school I was the target of many "jokes" and insults. I hated it, at times I even thought of taking my life.. but life is worth living despite hateful pricks that roam this world. I heard it all from being insulted for being in special ed classes to being called a faggot in a hundred different ways.

That change me alot. It harden me, now I learned to not care what people say... which leads to not really caring about the people and it is not a good thing. Makes it hard for people to get close to you, and those who are arnt really. Emotional detachment was the end result of that

You can still care about people without caring for what they say. It's what I do and really, everyone should take everything they hear or read with healthy skepticism. People that feel the urge to insult you? It's what kids do. And without going into the reasons why, many people don't ever really "grow up" in a sense that makes them responsible for what they think and do. Look around you and see how opinions are formed.

So yes, you can choose to detach from the people around you, but I don't think you have to. Where everything "normal" is arbitrary, there can't be a "normal" amount of human interaction either and some folks simply need more or less of it. But you don't have to be radical about it.

That was back then now I have change abit... I have friends people I like to spend time with. Still some parts of me I dont share, though I question myself at times. Things that should have made a big impact didnt... seeing how everyone else is then realizing you are not experiencing the same feelings as them. I try to blend in the best I can, though I found the internet is the best place where I can be more of myself and share myself with others. Its not as Radical as it sounded in my first post.

So last night my laptop gave me about four BSoD. Chkdsk found nothing, a memory diagnostic found nothing, the malware removal tool is still looking, and I'm going to reformat if I still can find nothing. The codes and errors from the memory dumps, when read in conjunction with explanatory forums and blogs online, are absolutely incongruous and USELESS. Mostly because the majority of users out there didn't think to use chkdsk, and that's all they had to do to find bad sectors (I have no bad sectors).

But if reformatting fails, I may have to retire this beloved machine and buy something younger and hotter. :p

The addition of QTEs to recent games. One or two per level are acceptable. Multiple hair-trigger sensitivity QTEs in the span of five minutes is grounds for having your eyelids surgically removed, strapped into a fixed position, and forced to watch partyhard.css on loop while being kept alive and conscious via tubes.

Although I agree with your stance on this 'fad', there is nothing 'recent' about this. But might I add the annoying button mashing thing when opening a window or turning a valve or something? Next up: Social media and their implementation. Stats being live-broadcast via twitter, facebook buttons in elevators, Mario shouting "Yahoo!™" when jumping...

It is all going to be horrible. It's why I play h-games. You get what you come for.

Well... my computer problem seems to have been resolved. No idea how but I'm happy. Guess I can hold out on a new computer until Microsoft releases Windows 9... or whatever.

Nope, I apparently live in the snowiest fucking city ever this winter. Thankfully, it's finally started to warm up. And by 'warm up' I mean "Hit the 30's."

Location might've come up in the past, Tass, though I don't remember 100%.

My brother just got back from the arctic. He was so pissed when there was still snow on the ground down here in the south... of the north to many folks here.

I kinda hate some relatives right now. They're distant, never been in my life, but they got involved in shit that didn't concern them recently and then told me to butt out. The kind of one or two generation ago people that call you child if they're a decade or so older than you, and not in the sweet welcoming way, the fucking condescending "you'll never be at my level" way. Then when I got pissed at them getting in my business and further at them telling me to walk away(from my business), they told me they would no longer put up with me and were 'disowning' me, bitching all the while about how much help they give me that I take for granted(note that they've almost never talked to me for about a decade, some relatives more, and I've actually been paying them money in return for some distant past help they gave me).

Seriously, I'm a very nice guy normally but people from one or two(middle aged and the real old fuckers)generations ago that practically live by such double standards should burn. ESPECIALLY the ones that call you a fucking child like they're better than you no matter how old you get.

I'd be more mad if it actually impacted my life though. They're refusing to give me money anymore and walking out on me basically means I can stop sending spare change to them every month with pretty much zero regret, and they live so far away that I never hear from them anyway most of the time. Less drama, less bullshit to think about. Also helps that they tried to play lawyer on me. One of them told me, no lie, that I'd be arrested if cops found porn on my computer like it had some relevance to our core debate(no, not child porn, literally just porn, porn of any kind). Literally, an out of the blue and completely uneducated statement. The fact that they kept tripping up over their own bullshit made it less aggravating, really.
