I can't start a conversation with the receptionist after I've killed the serpent for some reason :\ So now I'm kind of just stuck since I can't turn in the contract.

UPDATE: So I got it figured out. If you don't complete the Super Enhancement quest before the Serpent quest, you can't turn in the contract because the conditional branch for turning in said contract is that Super Enhancement be completed... Why give us the choice to do either quest at the start if you have to complete one of them first x.x Now I can't start the Super Enhancement quest after I've turned in the Serpent quest.

Ugh, that God damn receptionist. I've messed with her eventing so many times... Jesus, I can't believe it is still not working. I'll take a look at the listed errors. Man, I literally played through the game 3 times without issues, but there are multiple ways to achieve lots of these things, so it is hard to test every little branching path...

The game definitely means for you to do the enhancement first, but you should be fine doing either. I even fixed a very old bug where if you did the brothel interview before the enhancement quest, you could never complete it.

I just finished my playthrough (breeder bad end). The only bug I encountered was the priest in the church immediately making spells available at the start without me encountering the h-event associated with unlocking this option. (It was still locked in the recollection room upon finishing the run).

I got the Fallen Hunter Bad End lol. Anyways, there also seems to be a problem where if you lose in the underground caves where Carla is being kept (not to the Teddy Bear, but to any other monster there), you get teleported back to the city portal rather than the infirmary and the eclipse starts. Kind of a weird transition. Also, if you join the Wolf hunters but are standing anywhere but the middle, the brothers will walk into you, causing the game to halt and basically you can't do anything but close the game.

i have already installed Fullscreen++ v2.2 for VX and VXace by Zeus81 as i love that script! :D

First thank you for translating and improving this game, Yummy, it's always nice to see somebody taking his time to translate and make japanese H-RPGs more accessible to the western community.


In the time I played so far, I've encoutered a bug. I'm really not sure if only I have that bug or not. I think though it hasn't been reported yet. It's really just a small thing, not game-breaking.

It has something to do with the script "解像度640x480", that changes the default resolution of the game from 544x416p to 640x480p, like it used to be back with RPGMXP. The problem here is it also changes the minimum size of a map from 17x13 Tiles à 32p to 20x15 Tiles à 32p, as that if you calculate it would result in 640x480p. This causes the "camera" or view-point to twitch on too small maps, when you walk to the border of them.

If you want an example the map "Carla's House" is 18x22 Tiles big and if you walk from the left to the right you will see what I mean.

And also as you can see it's nothing big, most people probably didn't even notice it at all. It's also not your fault, since I've checked the original version it also had that bug, so the developers fucked that up.

To fix this you simply have to change the size of each map that is below 20x15 Tiles to atleast 20x15 Tiles (e.g. Carla's House from 18x22 to 20x22) and for most of the maps just add lines of black-tiles or whatever fits.
I'm pretty sure there aren't many too small maps, if that one wasn't even the only one.

As it's really not a big bug or problem you don't even really need to fix it, would be just some stupid extra work, and you already have enough to do with Aylia's Story.
I just wanted to mention it, because it's something pretty specific.

EDIT: Fuck me, I just checked all the maps, "Carla's House" is indeed the only map, that is too small... and I made the effort to write this wall of text explaining...

@Emerald Gladiator: Thanks, I'll update the instructions. I put this together at 3am after a LONG session of working on it. Didn't realize that after I pulled all the copyrighted assets out, I did not fix the folder structure. 1.0.2 will be fixed.

@Trapwannabe: I'll look into it. The 3rd Brothel as well. Now that you mention it, I don't remember if I finished that scene. The brothel scenes were the hardest to motivate myself to comb through. I find brothels boring in most games, I only liked the 4th scene in this one.

@Iamnuff: From reports, it seems that is only one machine? No wonder I missed it, I only tested one machine and when it worked, I stopped.I'll check the CG room. I left all of the "CG Only" events alone.

@Shruikaan: Did you have japanese support enabled when extracting the files?

@Blubbat0r & Zephyrestess: Use a spoiler, but:

what did you think of the bad ends? I thought they were maliciously deviant. The breeder end when she woke up in the cell, and you could move, that whole segment was a hilariously devilish addition from the original dev. Thought both bad end had more "flair" than the other two.

@Neluor: Thanks for the info! I did know that when I put a different 640x480 script in Aylia's Story. I read the instructions (imagine that :) ). But, never even thought to check HQ...

I did the serpent quest first, and didn't have a problem turning in the quest... maybe it's something to do with talking to the supplement guy in a particular order? I dunno, didn't have a problem though.

I found it. It would only have affected you if you completed the serpent quest (and not the enhancement quest), continued to game, and then checked back later (when the zombie quest is available). At that point, things would get screwy, due to an extra "jump to label" command I put in. Problem is resolved. If you had done both the enhancement and serpent quest PRIOR to accepting the demon part missions, then you could do them in any order.

I swear, I actually diagrammed her event and clean it WAY up. It got really hairy with all the ways you could progress, and that was only with THREE side quests...

I haven't actually seen any of the other ends so I can't speak about those but you are right, that nice little interlude of the breeder end is something you don't usually get and I really appreciated that. It also further showed the wickedness of the antagonist here (Ramsey Bolton sends his regards)

Holy shit... I just discovered (from a report) that the entire Priest line is blocked because I did not switch the "progress" variable to "progress+" I'll have 1.0.2 uploaded in less than an hour. Damn...

Is it just me or in new game+, all the quest and side quest is kinda buggy/messed up. For example when you want to unlock the brothel, the guard keep saying wont let you in even if you already told the brothel that you want to work there.

And also after you done with the making potion quest thingy, cant do other side quest (the drug dealer quest etc) the npc quest giver keep saying there are no quest to take even if the quest in the quest board.

Changelog:

- Fixed Serpent Quest note item.
- Reverted top left casino slot to untranslated text, will fix in 1.0.3
- Fixed error with Guild Receptionist eventing if you had not completed the super enhancement quest when the zombie quest was available.
- Fixed a movement error when talking to the Priest from the side (Original bug, actually!)
- Fixed MAJOR bug that was stopping the entire Rano Priest line of events. God damn it, Yummy...
- Will fix untranslated 3rd Brothel event in 1.0.3
- Fixed missing "Fade in" command on the Supplement merchant scene.
- Added script to Hide Text, but does not hide dark background windows, so a bit limited. Also, it lacks the improvement in Aylia's Story where you cannot progress messages while text is hidden, because that required another script that is incompatible with HQ. (LEFT SHIFT Hides text)

I've got a few more fixes for 1.0.3, but the priest bug was pretty huge. So, wanted to push this one out now. A changelog is included with fixed issues.

@autizboys: I'd recommend avoiding new game+. I just realized after your comment that I forgot about that as I finished everything up. Probably a lot of stuff is screwy there.

Thanks for the translation, YT.

I'm experience an odd bug.

Basically, any time I talk to an NPC, there's a short 1-2 second delay before the textbox pops up. This doesn't occur when I switch back to the original untranslated game files. No idea what's causing it.

I'm using the 1.0.2 patch

Has anybody else had this problem?
