In today's news...

Re: In today's news...

Microsoft "enters the weed industry" with a partnering of a company that sell marijuana seeds.

Re: In today's news...

I'm just gonna let John Oliver lay down some facts about Brexit.

Re: In today's news...

It doesn't matter, because apparently you have an army of autonomous robots at your disposal! (since it's so much cheaper to develop, build, and maintain them than people right?) I certainly hope they're 3 laws compliant...

Though for a reply actually addressing your' comment, it's really not about outnumbering just the military of the target countries. Even those liberian (SP?) guys from the joke post managed to kill soldiers or well um, some of the guys they were fighting.

I'm sure XSI can tell you how terrible the three laws are.

Re: In today's news...

Honk honk

Best laws

And then in news, someone tried to kill Trump

And it's an illegal immigrant that tried. Not from Mexico though, so not all stereotypes are true

Re: In today's news...

When I was reading the article I thought I saw "Public defender Hillary Clinton" but then I realized it wasn't. Would have been hilarious though. :D

I'm glad nobody got hurt. I'm tired of all these fruitcakes wanting to shoot people. Get over yourself already, go play a video game or something, and let the rest of us live in peace (preferably away from you and your psychotic tendencies).

I mean seriously, there are games for people like you to play. Have you not heard of GTA? Not that GTA is only for psychos, but at least it would help them with their aggression.

Re: In today's news...

The part that gets me is "He is said to have told law enforcement officials that he had been planning the assassination for up to a year and did not expect to survive the attempt."

He planned it for a YEAR, and his plan was "Walk right up to a cop, try to grab his gun and use it."

Sounds pretty fishy, even for a joke that is lame.

Re: In today's news...

As much as I detest Trump, turning him into a martyr is a terrible idea.

Re: In today's news...

I've seen enough anime to know where this is going

Re: In today's news...

Japan isn't worried. They will probably just eat them. They love slimy food, especially if it is still moving. :D

I could just see it now. A big lineup at the shore waiting for the attack of the tentacle creatures. Then suddenly they jump out of the ocean and are summarily slaughtered/eaten alive! The few that are left run screaming back into the depths of the ocean as the Japanese give chase, diving in and grabbing furiously at their would-be attackers. :p

Re: In today's news...

Today on the 23rd of June, Great Britain will vote whether to remain within the European Union, or to leave, to redefine our relationship with our European counterparts.

Also, a potential scandal is emerging, surprise, people are reporting that in several voting stations the word 'Remain' is printed on the pencils used to fill in ballot papers. The Electoral Commission has confirmed it will investigate the matter after voting day, presumably. Can't say I noticed that myself, but then again, didn't really turn the pencil over at the ballot booth, so eh. Treat it as 'potentially bs' given how odd/silly it is to do such a thing.

I hate to sound or be read as a tad irritable, but there has been a bias towards the remain campaign long before the whole thing began, having to change the actual question of staying or leaving due to bias in the question's wording, to start with, amongst other things, but I'mma not rant too much.

I'm surprised there's been no loud speaker vans going around telling people which way to vote... in urdu and polish.

Re: In today's news...

I'm just saying, I agree with John Oliver. Leaving the EU without an actual follow-up plan besides "Stomp our feet and whine like children that the EU isn't fair!" is a really, really bad idea, especially considering it could send tidal waves throughout the global economy. But hey, they're Brits. They do what they want, damn the consequences.

Re: In today's news...

Thats kinda unfair, they're not going to ever make a backup plan because the government is pro-EU and as seen by the constant campaigning and fearmongering will do anything to keep in the EU

So there is no way they would follow any sort of plan by 'the opposition' anyway

Re: In today's news...

Hur, as much as I might vote one way or the other, to be fair it has been shown, by newspapers so pinch o' salt, that the Government is making precautionary/back-up plans in either event - it'd surely be irresponsible to not do so, right?

Alas, to Caul, Michael Gove has actually unveiled a manifesto of sorts, however no matter how... in-depth it is, he doesn't technically have the legal power to do that, as a Vote-Leaver, but that also means the Vote-Leave campaign is hamstrung by the fact that, when challenged to make a fully, financially, sorted plan, they can't do so properly... as again, they are not the government, and it's the government that is pro-remain, so...

Can you see where I'm going with that?

Also, voting is closed now in British GMT, so... good luck to either side I guess.

Edit; Ah! Just remembered, the EU commission/Juncker actually mentioned that there 'will be no more (re)negotiation' regarding our position within the EU... which actually makes it harder to justify staying in anyway, despite the Government repeatedly mentioning how we 'have a great amount of influence' within the EU. Eh.
